In E-mail based accounting system, the remitter does not have need to find collector's account number. To transfer money to a collector's account, what remitter need is just a collector's E-mail address. But the current E-mail based accounting systems are built on SSL technology. Basically SSL provides some security services - confidentiality, user authentication and data integrity, but does not provide non-repudiation. So, in the current E-mail based accounting system, it is possible to deny transaction. And there is no receipt of transaction. In this paper, we design and implementation of a S/MIME applied Secure Payment Mechanism. In our system, every account information - account number, receiver name, amount of money, etc. - is included in a 'check' message. And this message is protected under the Secure Web-mail using S/MIME. In a view point of the convenience, users using our system do not have need to find collector's account number. And in a view point of the security, our system provides confidentiality, user authentication, data integrity and non-repudiation. Moreover our system provides a receipt.

While the E-mail is a important way of fast communication in these days. it is real that the E-mail is often misused as a commercial advertisement method and creates many social problems. Even though various filtering techniques for blocking spam mails have been developed, reliability of mail systems is decreased by misreading normal mails as spam mails, i.e. false-positive errors. In this paper, the SMBC(Spam Mail Blocking Center) platform employing spam mail recovery method based on privacy information is proposed and designed. The SMBC is designed in frame layer based on spam blocking system of proxy sewer and can be physically implemented in various topology so that flexible development with layered module is possible. Using privacy information makes the proposed SMBC platform minimize processing load and false-positive error rates so that it can improve mail system reliabilities.

E-mail system is considered as a most important communication media, which can be used to transmit personal information by internet. But e-mail attack also has been increased by spoofing e-mail sender address. Therefore, this work proposes sender verification faculty for spam mail protection at sender's MTA by using security card for protection forged sender and also for authenticating legal sender. Sender's mail MT A requests security card's code number to sender. Then sender input code number and generate session key after sender verification. Session key is used to encrypt sender's signature and secure message transmission. This work can provide efficient and secure e-mail sender authentication with sender verification and message encryption.

Principle of mailing list was distributed messages to all subscribers in one time. But mailing list operation has constructed a network traffic problem. Because mailing list manager distributed mails without concentrate on subscriber network. If our network has many of subscribers, there will be redundant data in traffic channel. Submailing list has purpose to reduce problems. Analyses of mailing list characteristic in electronic mail were a feature of submailing list system, which manage by human hand (Network Administrator). That will cause trouble for network traffic if Network Administrator could not seek for mailing list characteristic from e-mails in due time. This article will present ideas and recognize methodology for automatic working in submailing list system. Recognize step begin with capture process, which use to trap e-mail information from transfer channel. Next process is preparing raw data into recognition format. Then the third one is recognize part and find out confidential factor. The last process is make decision and determine which electronic mail has properties of mailing list characteristic. Afterward deliver result to submailing list for carry on.

e-Learning에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 e-Learning 표준화에 대한 다양한 연구들이 진행되어지고 있으며 ADL에서 주도하는 SCORM이 e-Learning의 실질적인 표준으로 자리잡고 있다. SCORM 메타데이터는 기존자료들에 대한 재사용성을 높이고 컨텐츠의 개발과 관리에 따른 시간과 비용의 감소를 가져온다. 기존의 E-Mail system에 메타데이터 생성기를 추가하여 E-Mail을 통해 전달받은 다양한 컨텐츠들을 재사용과 분류, 검색이 가능한 xml 파일로 바인딩 시키는 system을 제안하였다.

This paper attempts to propose the decision support model, which can be employed for 22 mail centers to improve their operational efficiency and competitive. This model deals with both DEA method and system dynamics model. DEA is a management tool aimed to determine relative efficiency of independent decision making unit. We measured the relative efficiency between mail centers using CCR model and tried to find the reason for inefficiency mail centers. Also, we introduced the system dynamics model to present the strategic policy for mail center to strengthen their efficiency.

Mail centers are essential postal facilities that sort and dispatch postal items, and should be operated efficiently to provide customers high quality postal services. So the efficiency analysis of mail centers should be performed in order to induce better operation. But current performance evaluation system has 95 percent of predetermined and weighted non-quantitative indices. There is need to introduce objective efficiency measurement methodology. The main objectives of this study was to analyze the efficiency of 24 mail centers empirically using cone-ratio DEA and suggest the appropriate cone-ratio method. Consequently, this paper suggests that the cone-ratio DEA model integrating decision-maker's preferences is more desirable for efficiency analysis than that of using transformed data.

As the computing power of the mobile devices is improving rapidly, many kinds of web services are also available in mobile devices just as Email service. Mobile Mail Service began early, but this service is mostly limited in some specified mobile devices such as Smart Phone. That is a limitation that users have to purchase specified phone to be benefited from Mobile Mail Service. In this thesis, it developed new kind of Mobile Mail System named Smart Mobile Mail System based MPEG21-DIDL Markup, and solved above problem. DIDL could be converted to other Markup types which are displayed in mobile devices by Mobile Gate Server. By transforming PC Web Mail contents including attachment document to DIDL Markup through Mobile Gate Server, the Mobile Mail Service could be available for all kinds of mobile device. The Smart Mobile Mail System also performs real time alarming service for new Email using Callback URL SMS. When there is new Email arriving, the Mail System sends a Call back URL SMS to user. User could directly check Email through Callback URL SMS in real time.

In this paper, we constructed a two-phase spam-mail filtering system based on the lexical and conceptual information. There are two kinds of information that can distinguish the spam mail from the legitimate mail. The definite information is the mail sender's information, URL, a certain spam list, and the less definite information is the word list and concept codes extracted from the mail body. We first classified the spam mail by using the definite information, and then used the less definite information. We used the lexical information and concept codes contained in the email body for SVM learning in the $2^{nd}$ phase. According to our results the spam precision was increased if more lexical information was used as features, and the spam recall was increased when the concept codes were included in features as well.

Spam mail is one of the side effect of the development and improvement of the internet that restrains the privacy of the individual on line. However indiscriminate application of Spam mail blocking can also cause significant violation on freedom of doing business to the fluent commercial transactions on line. Therefore this research looks at the exact understanding of the concept of Spam mail and inquiry on Its issues. Also it looks at the case studies of its institutional solutions in USA and Europe as well as the advantage and disadvantage of the case studies on its technical solution. Finally, the research inquires into overall prevention of Spam mail, which considers both technical and institutional soiution. With this research, limitations of current Spam mail prevention system and technology are pointed out and more effective course of overall Spam mail prevention solution is studied.
