다중해상도 영상을 이용한 동영상 압축 (Video coding using multi-resolution image)

  • In this paper, a video coding method in wavelet transformed multi-resolution image using variable block sized motion estimation and multi-codebook is proposed. In the propoed method, the accuracy of motion estimation is increased by using variable block matching algorithm based on edge type of blocks which estimation is increased by using variable block matching algoritm based on edge type of blocks which is classified accoridng to the magnitude of wavelet coefficients in vertical subband and horizontal subband of the highest layer. Also, we increased the flexibility of bit allocation and decreased vector quantization error for motion compensated error transmission by using importance of each subband. Some experimental results confirm that he proposed mothod has fine reconstructed images without blocking effect at low bit rate, and especially reconstructs edges well to which human eyes are sensitive.

  • Mass estimation analysis of loose-parts in pressure vessel is necessary for the structural integrity assessment of pressure boundary in nuclear power plants. Mass of loose-parts can be generally estimated from the peak values and the center frequency of impact signals. Magnitude of impact signals is, however, inevitably attenuated according to the traveling distance of the signals and depending on the frequencies. Attenuation rate must be therefore carefully compensated for the precise estimation of loose-part mass. This paper proposes a new compensation method for the attenuation rate based on Bessel function instead of Hankel function in conventional method which has a limitation of usage in near the impact location. It was verified that the suggested compensating equation based on the Bessel function can be applied to the attenuation rate calculation without any limitation.

Effective Reconstruction of Stereoscopic Image Pair by using Regularized Adaptive Window Matching Algorithm

  • In this paper, an effective method for reconstruction of stereoscopic image pair through the regularized adaptive disparity estimation is proposed. Although the conventional adaptive disparity window matching can sharply improve the PSNR of a reconstructed stereo image, but there still exist some problems of overlapping between the matching windows and disallocation of the matching windows, because the size of the matching window tend to changes adaptively in accordance with the magnitude of the feature values. In the proposed method, the problems relating to the conventional adaptive disparity estimation scheme can be solved and the predicted stereo image can be more effectively reconstructed by regularizing the extimated disparity vector with the neighboring disparity vectors. From the experimental results, it is found that the proposed algorithm show improvements the PSNR of the reconstructed right image by about 2.36${\sim}$2.76 dB, on average, compared with that of conventional algorithms.

  • The blast vibration can generate occupants dissatisfy as well as damage of physics nearby building. Then blast vibration estimation issue important problems. But, now blast vibration prediction inside-outside country not established objective method according to blast number to express magnitude of vibration.   • In this study, we proposed a specification which is able to estimate tile uncertainty more easily and quickly and also able to maintain a confidence level when measuring tile magnitude and phase of 1-port and 2-port transmission.reflection coefficient using a VNA and attached coaxial cable probes. This proposed specification is available when it needs extra special condition of uncertainty estimation and when there is no additional standard equipment like as beadless airline or mismatch standard at the measurement institute. We compared and examined this proposed uncertainty estimation method with recommended EA specification and Agilent specification. As a result, we think that this proposed specification can be used as a reference for uncertainty estimation and calculation of VNA system, that is, a reference based on the IS0/1EC 17025 requirements.

연장음 길이에 따른 비유창성 정도 평가: 등간척도와 직접크기평정 비교 연구 (The perceptual judgment of sound prolongation: Equal-appearing interval and direct magnitude estimation)

  • 본 연구는 연장음의 길이에 따른 비유창성 지각 정도에 대해 각각 등간척도와 직접크기평정을 통한 청지각적 평가를 실시한 후, 두 평가의 결과치가 선형적인 또는 비선형적인 관계를 보이는지를 알아보고자 진행되었다. 이를 통해 연장음의 길이에 따른 비유창성 지각 정도에 대한 적절한 평가 방법을 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국어를 모국어로 하는 만 19세 이상 성인 남녀 34명(남: 9명, 여: 25명, 평균연령: 32.9세)이 평가자로 참여였다. 실험참여자는 먼저 한국어 평마찰음 /s/를 원래 길이에서 80 ms씩 연장하여 2,000 ms(i.e., 285 ms, 365 ms., ..., 2,125 ms, 2,205 ms)까지 연장 변조한 총 25개의 자극이 들어 있는 문장을 듣고, 등간척도(1-7점, 1은 '정상', 7은 '심도')로 평가하였다. 이후에 등간척도 평가 결과, '경중도'(4점)에 해당하는 음성샘플을 선정해 이를 기준 평가치(modulus)로 하여 직접크기평정을 실시하였다. 두 평가 결과치에 대한 산포도를 작성한 후, 모형 분석을 통해 두 측정치 간의 관계가 선형적(linear)인지 비선형적(curvilinear)인지 R2값을 통해 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 두 평가 결과치의 관계가 비선형적인 양상을 보이는 것으로 나타났으며 이는 연장음의 길이에 따른 비유창성 정도 평가에 있어 등간척도보다는 직접크기평정이 적절한 평가 방법임을 보여주는 결과이다.

심물리학적 방법을 이용한 정적 관절 동작에 대한 여성의 지각 불편도 Ranking (Rankings for Perceived Discomfort of Static Joint Motions for Females Based on Psychophysical Scaling Method)

  • The purposes of this study are to investigate perceived discomfort for static joint motions, and to propose rankings for the joint motions based on the perceived discomfort. The perceived discomfort was measured through an experiment using the free modulus method of the magnitude estimation, in which ten healthy college-age female students participated. The results showed that joints, joint motions and their levels significantly affected the perceived discomfort at $\alpha$=0.01, and that the interaction of joints and joint motion levels was also significant. Based on the experimental results, three rankings were proposed by joint and joint motions, by joints and by joint motions, which were very different from the existing ones. Especially, the proposed rankings were different from the males' published before in their order and magnitude. These rankings can be used as a valuable tool for better understanding potentially adverse effects of poor working postures in industrial sites, and as basic data for developing the postural classification scheme.

  • 본 논문에서는 현재까지 주파수 영역에서 개발된 4종류의 라우드스피커 TS 매개변수 규명법들에 대하여 비교 검토하였다. 보이스 코일 인덕터에 대한 상세한 모델링을 위해 주파수 종속 모델링 기법을 소개하였고 관련된 매개변수들을 유도하였다. 라우드스피커의 동적 질량을 알고 있을 때에 TS 매개변수를 규명하는 방법을 소개하고 이를 실제 라우드스피커에 적용할 때에 고려할 사항들도 기술하였다. 1채널 장비로 전기 임피던스를 측정할 때에는 크기만을 측정하게 되므로 위상값 추정을 위해 최소 위상 변환법을 사용하는 방법도 기술하였다.

  • This paper deals with asymptotic stabilization problems for linear systems with time-varying input disturbances. In order to eliminate the influence of a disturbance on the system, a disturbance observer is designed and the time-varying disturbance can be rejected using its estimated value. Since the disturbance observer is kind of low-pass filter, it has inevitably estimation errors. To eliminate the inflences on the performance due to these errors, the additional control is designed based on these estimation errors using a well-known min-max control method. It is shown that the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system is guaranteed. In general, the min-max control method requires the switching of control inputs and the switching magnitude of the control input is determined by the disturbance estimation error bounds. As the error bounds can be made arbitrarily small by choosing the high gain for the disturbance observer, the control method suggested in this paper can reduce the chattering phenomena as small as possible. Therefore, it has superior performance to the existing ones.

  • This study describes the scheme of vector drive system without speed sensor for AC servo motor using theory of a flux observer and based on the field oriented vector control. The new method of speed estimation is presented from operate with the position and magnitude of the secondary flux which obtain from the voltage reference and detected current. As the estimated speed is settled by the flux and the machine-specific parameters. this method don't need to adjust the gain of the parameter. Based on the derived theory for vector control. the scheme for sensorless vector drive of AC servo motor is designed and realized. And the experiment verifies it passable to realize the sensorless vector drive based on a field-oriented type.
