유도형 변위 센서의 민감도 향상을 위한 형상 최적 설계 (Shape Design Optimization of Inductive Position Sensor to Improve Sensitivity)

  • The resolution of analog sensor is determined by its sensitivity and amplitude of noise. This paper presents modeling of inductive gap sensor base on equivalent magnetic circuit and analysis of sensitivity. We can simulate static characteristic of inductive gap sensor using this model. Computer simulation show that sensor's sensitivity is affected by magnetic flux's leakage and fringing, and that they are affected by shape of sensor probe. Base on this, we designed shape of inductive position sensor probe.

  • The resolution of analog sensor is determined by its sensitivity and amplitude of noise. This paper presents modeling of inductive gap sensor base on equivalent magnetic circuit and analysis of sensitivity. The model of inductive gap sensor is verified by the experimental results. Then we can simulate static characteristic of inductive gap sensor using this model. Computer simulation show that sensor's sensitivity and linearity are affected by magnetic flux's leakage and fringing, and that they are affected by shape of sensor probe.

  • The performance of an inductive position sensor is described by the accuracy and the dynamic characteristics of the sensor. Both of these performance indices are affected by magnetic hysteresis and eddy currents. In this paper, a model of an inductive sensor is presented. This model includes the effects of hysteresis and eddy currents. Computer simulation shows that the sensitivity of the sensor is greatly affected by hysteresis and eddy currents. Repeability error increases with hysteresis and eddy currents effects. Results also show that eddy currents influence more on the sensor performance than hysteresis does. To reduce the effects of hysteresis and eddy currents, the sensor should be made out of thin laminations with high resistivity.

  • MI(Magneto-Impedance) sensor which is made by thin films has significantly high detecting sensitivity in weak magnetic field. It also has a merit to be able to build in the low power system. Its structure is simple, which makes it easier to prepare a miniature. In this study, its magnetic permeability and anisotropy field($H_{k}$) as a function of a thickness of sputtered amorphous CoZrNb films with zero-magnetostriction and soft magnetic property are investigated. In order to make a uniaxial anisotropy, film was subjected to the post annealing in a static magnetic field with 1KOe intensity at 250, 300, and $320^{\circ}C$ respectively for 2 hours. Magnetic properties of film are measured by using a MH loop tracer. Its magnetic permeability of a film is measured over the frequency range 1 MHz to 750MHz. And, it was examined on the permeability and impedance to design the MI sensor which acts at 50MHz by thickening a CoZrNb film relatively, and fabricated the MI sensor which acts at the 50MHz.

대차가 있는 무인 운반차의 경로 추종 오차 감소 방법 (A Method for Reducing Path Tracking Errors of an AGV with a Trailer)

  • The use of AGVs(Automated Guided Vehicles) are increasing in many factories. The most widely used AGV system is that magnetic tapes are attached on the factory floor to make guided path and an AGV equipped with a magnetic sensor follows the path by sensing magnetic flux. In this AGV system, usually a magnetic sensor is attached on the front end of an AGV to detect the guided path and the sensor generates analog voltages proportional to the magnetic flux. The problem is that the AGV in use has rather big tracking errors because the accurate orientation of the AGV can not be detected by using only one magnetic sensor. In this paper, we propose a method to minimize the path tracking errors. In our method, one additional sensor is attached on the rear end of the AGV to estimate the orientation of the AGV and to control more accurately the AGV according to the estimated orientation of the AGV. We performed several experiments and the results successfully show the feasibility of the proposed method.

구동중인 자동차 배기계의 진동 특성 측정 (Vibration Measurement of an Automobile Exhaust System in Operation)

  • In this work, the operational deflection shape(ODS) of an automobile exhaust system is measured by using a recently-developed magnetic sensor. The magnetic sensor is composed of a solenoid and two pairs of permanent magnets generating an antisymmetric magnetic field in the lateral direction inside the solenoid. Lateral movement of a ferromagnetic pipe inside the magnetic field of the suggested sensor induces an electromotive force in the solenoid corresponding to the lateral velocity of the pipe. Due to the simplicity and non-contact characteristics of the magnetic sensor, dynamic behaviors of the structures operating under high temperature such as an exhaust pipe can be efficiently observed. It is shown that the lateral ODS of an exhaust system can be successfully measured by the suggested sensors.

CoFeSiB 아몰퍼스합금 자기리본 변위센서 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of the Displacement Sensor of CoFeSiB Amorphous Alloy Magnetic Ribbon)

  • This dissertation describes the development of a sensor for measuring microscopic displacement where we use CoFeSiB amorphous alloy magnetic ribbon having near zero magnetostrictive properties. For the development of the sensor, we first fabricate amorphous alloy magnetic ribbon, and then investigate its physical and magnetic properties. Finally, its possibility of practical application as a displacement sensor is discussed. The experimental samples were made of near zero magnetostrictive (Co$\_$0.94/Fe$\_$0.06/)$\_$9/Si$_2$B$\_$19/ alloy which were fabricated by a rapid liquid quenching method. As a results, we got amorphous alloy magnetic ribbons of 12㎛ in thickness, 10 mm in length, and 2.5 m in width. It was found that the crystallization temperature and the Curie temperature are around 451$\^{C}$ and around 441$\^{C}$ respectively. We couldn't observe any noticeable change of the impedance frequency of 10MHz, but observed the impedance change of 3.76 %/Oe at 100 MHz. The inductance was nearly stable over the frequency range of 1∼10 MHz, In addition, it was observed that the variation of the inductance and the impedance were linear within the displacement ranges of 20∼60㎛. As the results of the experiments, it is suggested that the displacement sensor which is fabricated by using amorphous alloy magnetic ribbon of (Co$\_$0.04/Fe$\_$0.06/)$\_$79/Si$_2$B$\_$19/ compound, can be used as a sensor to detect microscopic displacement.

생체자기 신호측정을 위한 고인덕턴스 코일 내장형 온칩 자기센서 (On-chip Magnetic Sensor with Embedded High Inductance Coil for Bio-magnetic Signal Measurement)

  • 생체자기신호 측정을 위해 고인덕턴스 코일과 계측 증폭기를 내장한 자기센서칩을 $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS공정으로 제작하였다. 생체자기신호를 측정하기 적합한 감도와 대역폭을 가지는 고인덕턴스 코일센서를 전자기장 시뮬레이션 프로그램으로 설계하였으며, 온칩에 구현하기 위해 트렌스컨덕턴스 감쇄방법 적용한 low gm OTA를 구현하였다. 자기센서칩의 출력신호 감도는 $3.25fT/{\mu}V$이며, output reference noise는 21.1fT/${\surd}$Hz이다. 계측 증폭기부분은 current feedback 기반으로 설계되었으며, 자기 신호 잡음을 줄이기 위해서 0.5~5kHz의 대역의 BPF를 설계하였다. MPW칩 테스트에서 common mode rejection ratio(CMRR)는 117.5dB로 측정하였으며, input reference noise가 $0.87{\mu}V$ 이하로 유지되도록 설계하였다.

자기센서를 이용한 위치추정 정밀도 향상 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Method for Improving the Localization Accuracy using the Magnetic Sensors)

  • Magnetic Sensors can be employed to localize the unmanned vehicle which is running a predefined path where magnets are embedded for certain spaces. Among various sensor types, sensor arrays of 1-dimensional magnetic sensor have the merit of easy elimination of external magnetic component such as terrestrial magnetism. However, interpolation should be considered in the array sensors in order to increase the precision level because there is a limit in arranging sensors in close interval. We propose the novel interpolation method which can be performed with simple computation and represents the improved accuracy by increasing the linearity of the interaction formula. Demonstration of the linearity and simulation results show the proposed method exhibits the improved accuracy compared to the conventional method.

  • In this paper, a magnetic suspension system with inductive sensors fur a high vacuum turbomolecular pump(TMP) is discussed. The performance of designed inductive position sensor is evaluated by static and dynamic test, and the test results show sensitivity of about 6,000 V/m and dynamic bandwidth of 750 ㎐. The protype of magnetic suspension system is designed and constructed with 5-axis magnetic bearing, inductive sensor and BLDC internal motor. With DSP based digital PID control system, the prototype is examined its high damping ratio and stable operation up to 20,000 rpm of rotation.
