  • In this study, We applied the magnetic field that has CW frequency and AM frequency to heating magnetic nano powder. For this experiment, We set up the devices flat-type magnetic field generator with CW frequency and AM frequency. We supplied the current to encircling coil by adjusting the power of generating of magnetic field device for AC voltage through Slidacs and using way of LC resonance circuit and SMPS(Switching Mode Power Supply). Above the encircling coil, We covered the circular flat insulator like glass. And we located the well plate containing the magnetic nano powder liquor above the circular flat insulator and exposed the magnetic field to this well plate. Using the flat-type magnetic field generator with CW and AM frequency and the magnetic field measurement sensor(Magnetic pick up coil or Hall sensor), We measured the strength of the magnetic field of circular flat insulator's surface in each position. The temperature of the magnetic nano powder in the well plate was quantitatively measured by the magnetic field strength through the Fluoroptic thermometer.

  • From extensive measurements of the resistance and the dynamic resistance as functions of magnetic field and temperature, we find that the transport in the insulating state beyond the superconductor-insulator (S-I) transition is dominated by bosons(Cooper pairs and/or vortices) and cannot be described by the theory of the fermionic insulating phase. The maximum of the magnetoresistance at B = B$_m$ and the following negative slope in R(B) with increasing field can be explained by the crossover from the "Bose-glass" to the "Fermi-glass" phase as suggested by Paalanen, Hebard, and Ruel. The zero bias peak in dv/dl for biases below the characteristic voltage V$_c$ (or current $I_c$), gives a clue for the assumption of the "dirty boson" model which states that the insulating state above the critical magnetic field is the phase where Cooper pairs are localized due to the Coulomb blockade with a nonvanishing order parameter. The shift to a lower value of the critical magnetic field by overlaying thin Au layer, which is known as a strong spin-orbit scatterer, also supports the bosonic nature of the S-I transition.

  • Layered perovskite La$_{2-x}$Ca$_{l-x}$Mn$_2$O$_{7}$ phases were synthesized by solid state reaction. Single phase R-P could be obtained in the range of 0.4$_{2-x}$Ca$_{l-x}$Mn$_2$O$_{7}$. About 30% of MR ratio was obtained at 270K when 5 T of magnetic field was applied.ied.ied.ied.

  • Magnetorheological suspensions (MRSs) are smart materials that have the potential to revolutionize several industrial sectors because of their special rheological behaviors. In this paper, MRS, based on carbonyl iron (CI) microparticles that were dispersed in silicone oil with oleic acid, were prepared. We showed that the electroconductibility of MRS was significantly influenced by the intensity of the external magnetic field that was applied. The resistance value can vary from infinite to below $300{\Omega}$ after applying an external magnetic field. The results indicated that this MRS had the property of magnetic-field-tuned insulator to conductor transition. This system has potential applications in controllable MRS electrical devices.

  • Granular metal-insulator alloys, consisting of nano-scale magnetic particles in an insulating matrix are of unique consideration for the technological application and fundamental physics. They display a wide variety of unusual both linear and nonlinear electric-transport, optical and magnetooptical properties, especially for compositions close to the percolation threshold. (omitted)
