접안된 선박에 있어서 자기 compass 의 자착수정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Adjustment of the Magnetic Compass on the Vessel alongside the Wharf)

  • This paper offers a method of magnetic compass adjustment for the vessel alongside the wharf using newly designed magnetic north former, which makes the same magnetic field-change as the turning vessel does. The characteristics of the magnetic north former was examined by observing the deviation curves of the magnetic compass installed on the compass deviascop at laboratory. The magnetic north former consists of A and B arms which hold the permanent bar magnets at the both ends of each arm. The arm is to rotae in the horizontal plane about the vertical axis fixed at the center boss of the magnetic compass and it is to compensate the horizontal plane about the vertical axis fixed at the center boss of the magnetic compass and it is to compensate the horizontal component of the earth's field. The B arm makes the artificial magnetic north around the magnetic compass for every ship's heading. The results of investigation are summarized as follows ; 1. The observation and correction of magnetic compass deviation can be done without swinging the ship, of the effect of D coefficient is negligible. 2. The residual deviation curve of the magnetic compass depends on the accuracy of deduced value of ship's multplier($\lambda$). 3. The errors due to the inaccuracy of deduced value of ship's multiplier change in the same way as the B and C coefficient do.

공간 필터를 이용한 심자도 신호에서의 자기잡음 제거 (Magnetic Noise Reduction in MCG Using Spatial Filters)

  • 다채널 고감도 자기 센서에 의해 획득되는 심자도 신호는 심전도 신호에 비하여 심장 질환의 진단에 여러 장점을 가지고 있지만 외부 자기 잡음에 의해 쉽게 영향을 받는다는 단점이 있다 외부 자기 잡음은 획득된 신호의 시간적 추이를 분석하여 제거할 수도 있지만, 다채널 시스템에서는 다채널 신호 사이의 공간적 상관 관계에 근거하여 제거하는 방법이 보다 효과 적이다. 된 연구에서는 이러한 방법의 하나로 PCA(Prinicipal component analysis)를 이용하여 구성한 공간 필터로 심자도 신호에서 외부 자기 잡음 성분을 효과적으로 분리해 내는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법을 61채널 심자도 시스템을 이용해 얻은 정상인 심자도 신호에 적용했을 때 자기 잡음 제거가 효율적으로 이루어짐을 실험적으로 보였다.

  • 산업자동화에 적합한 구형파 구동 BLDC 영구자석 전동기 설계 및 개발, 위치검출방식 회로와 드라이버 개발에 관심이 증가하고 있다. 그러나 이 전동기는 스위칭 손실에 의한 효율 저하 및 진동, 소음 등으로 인하여 가격적·기능적인 장점에도 불구하고 그 응용에 있어서는 다소 제한적인 실정이다. BLDC 모터를 설계하고 조립하는 과정에 있어 자기회로 설계의 문제 또는 조립과정상의 제품 불 균일 등으로 인하여 자극 각이 균일하지 않거나 자속분포가 왜현되는 문제가 발생하는데, 이러한 것들이 위치검출 어긋남의 원인이 되어 모터 특성을 악화시킨다. 또한 위치센서로부터 발생된 신호가 정확히 드라이버로 피드백 되어야만 정현파 구동 BLDC 시스템이 안정적으로 동작할 수 있다. 그러나 발생된 신호가 외부의 영향인 자속밀도 편차나 착자 기술에 의해 DC offset 성분이 발생하여 안정적인 위치검출을 할 수 없기에 본 연구에서는 DC offset 성분을 제거할 수 있는 제안된 회로를 연구하고자 한다.

Ultrashort Echo Time MRI (UTE-MRI) Quantifications of Cortical Bone Varied Significantly at Body Temperature Compared with Room Temperature

  • Purpose: To investigate the temperature-based differences of cortical bone ultrashort echo time MRI (UTE-MRI) biomarkers between body and room temperatures. Investigations of ex vivo UTE-MRI techniques were performed mostly at room temperature however, it is noted that the MRI properties of cortical bone may differ in vivo due to the higher temperature which exists as a condition in the live body. Materials and Methods: Cortical bone specimens from fourteen donors ($63{\pm}21$ years old, 6 females and 8 males) were scanned on a 3T clinical scanner at body and room temperatures to perform T1, $T2^*$, inversion recovery UTE (IR-UTE) $T2^*$ measurements, and two-pool magnetization transfer (MT) modeling. Results: Single-component $T2^*$, $IR-T2^*$, short and long component $T2^*s$ from bi-component analysis, and T1 showed significantly higher values while the noted macromolecular fraction (MMF) from MT modeling showed significantly lower values at body temperature, as compared with room temperature. However, it is noted that the short component fraction (Frac1) showed higher values at body temperature. Conclusion: This study highlights the need for careful consideration of the temperature effects on MRI measurements, before extending a conclusion from ex vivo studies on cortical bone specimens to clinical in vivo studies. It is noted that the increased relaxation times at higher temperature was most likely due to an increased molecular motion. The T1 increase for the studied human bone specimens was noted as being significantly higher than the previously reported values for bovine cortical bone. The prevailing discipline notes that the increased relaxation times of the bound water likely resulted in a lower signal loss during data acquisition, which led to the incidence of a higher Frac1 at body temperature.

전기로 제강분진의 재활용과정에서 발생된 Clinker의 전기로에서의 가열용해에 의한 자원화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Resource Development by Heat Dissolution in Electric Arc Furnace of Clinker generated in the Recycling Process of Electric Arc Furnace Dust)

  • In general, when scrap is dissolved in an electric arc furnace, the amount of electric furnace steel dust (EAFD) generated is about 1.5% of the scrap charge amount, and the electric furnace steel dust collected by the bag filter is charged into the Rotary Kiln or Rotary Hearth Furnace (RHF), and the zinc component is recovered as crude zinc oxide, at which time a clinker of Fe-Base is generated. In this research, first, for the efficient resource conversion of electric furnace steel dust, a reduction and roasting experiment was conducted and the reaction kinetics was examined. As a result of the experiment, it was observed that the reduction and roasting reaction was actively conducted in the range of 1100~1150℃, and melting occurred in the range of 1250℃. In the past, this clinker was widely used as a roadbed material for road construction and an Fe-Source for cement production, but in recent years, it has been mainly reclaimed due to strengthening environmental standards. However, landfill treatment is by no means a desirable treatment method due to environmental pollution caused by leachate, expensive landfill costs, and waste of Fe resources. Therefore, in order to more actively recycle the Fe component in the clinker, first of all the clinker was pulverized into an optimal particle size, and anthracite and binder (starch) were added to the magnetic material obtained by specific gravity and magnetic separation for briquet. As a experimental results, it was possible to efficiently separate clinker as Fe component and other slag component by specific gravity and magnetic force. As a results of loading and dissolving the manufactured briquet clinker in an electric arc furnace, it was observed that the unit of power and production yield were clearly improved and the carbon addition effect in molten metal was also somewhat.

Effect of a Magnetic Field on Electrical Conductivity of a Partially Ionized Plasma

  • Solar electrical conductivity has been calculated, making use of Yun and Wyller's formulation. The computed results arc presented in a tabulated form as functions of temperature and pressure for given magnetic field strengths. The results of the calculation show that the magnetic field does not play any important role in characterizing the electrical conductivity of the ionized gas when the gas pressure is relatively high (e.g., $P{\geq}10^4\;dynes/cm^2$). However, when the gas pressure is low (e.g., $P{\leq}10\;dynes/cm^2$), the magnetic field becomes very effective even if its field strength is quite small (e.g., $B{\leq}0.01$ gauss). It is also found that, except for lower temperature region (e.g., $T{\leq}10^{4^{\circ}}K$), there is a certain linear relationship in a log- log graph between the pressure and the critical magnetic field strength, which is defined as a field strength capable of reducing the non-magnetic component of the electrical conductivity by 20%.

  • Magnetization loss of high temperature superconductoring BSCCO tape and YBCO coated conductor(YBCO CC) is most important issue in the development of superconducting power devices. In this paper, the measured results of magnetization losses in BSCCO tape and YBCO CC are presented and compared with each other. Measurements of magnetization losses are performed under various angles of external magnetic field to consider the anisotropic characteristics of YBCO CC. Also, we present the compared results of magnetization losses measured at arbitrary directional magnetic fields and analyzed with perpendicular magnetic field components of those. The results show that magnetization loss of YBCO CC agree well with the analyzed value by it's perpendicular magnetic field component, but BSCCO tape is not.

초전도 HGMS법에 의한 제철공정 폐수처리 (Treatment of steelmaking process waste water by superconductor HGMS method)

  • This study introduced waste water treatment method by superconducting HGMS(High Gradient Magnetic Separation). HGMS treatment method is high efficient method for various waste water, we have surveyed superconducting magnetic separation technology. We fabricated the prototypes of magnetic matrix filter consisting of stainless steel mesh, which is a core component in the magnetic separation system. In our basic preliminary experiment using HGMS, it was made clear that the fine para-magnetic particles in the wasted water obtained from steelmaking process of POSCO can be separated with high efficiency.

Very-Far Remote Reference Magnetotelluric Surveys across the Hemispheres

  • 2-D MT surveys at the Century mine in Australia have been performed with very far remote reference in Esashi, Japan as well as Gregory Downs, which are roughly 6400 km and 80 km apart from the field site, respectively. Long period pulsations observed in this survey generally showed dominant $H_x$ polarization than $H_y$; $H_x$ component is more than 3 times stronger than $H_y$ component. Polarity reversal in magnetic field pointing east ($H_y$ component) has also been observed in long period pulsations, while $H_x$ component remain coherent between the hemispheres. Though $H_x$ component shows relatively good coherency than $H_y$ component between the hemispheres at frequencies lower than 0.01 Hz, it seems rather too far to be used as a remote reference for ordinary MT frequency band.
