휴대폰 재질에 따른 충격 해석 (Impact Analysis According to Material of Hand Phone)

  • This study is analyzed by impact simulation according to material property at terminal case of hand phone. Maximum equivalent stress or strain at plastic is 40 times as great as that at magnesium alloy. And the next greatest stress or strain is shown at aluminium alloy. The value of maximum equivalent stress is shown as 6.5 Mpa in case of plastic, magnesium alloy and aluminium alloy. Maximum shear strain at plastic is 40 times as great as that at magnesium alloy. And the next greatest strain is shown at aluminium alloy. The value of deformation or strain at magnesium alloy and aluminium alloy is not different.

용융합금도금 강판 적용 노측용 방호울타리 충돌 안전성 평가 해석 사례 연구 (A Simulation Case Study on Impact Safety Assessment of Roadside Barriers Built with High Anti-corrosion Hot-dip Alloy-coated Steel)

  • As the world's industrial development quickens, the highways and regional expressways have been expanding to serve the logistics and transportation needs of people. The burgeoning road construction has led to a growing interest in roadside installations. These must have reliable performance over long periods, reduced maintenance and high durability. Steel roadside barriers are prone to corrosion and other compromises to their functionality. Therefore, using high anti-corrosion steel material is now seen as a viable solution to this problem. Thus, the objective of this paper is to expand the scope of applications for high anti-corrosion steel material for roadside barriers. This paper assesses the impact safety such as structural performance, occupant protection performance and post-impact vehicular response performance by a simulation review on roadside barriers built with high strength anti-corrosion steel materials named as hot-dip zinc-aluminium-magnesium alloy-coated steel. The simulation test results for the roadside barriers built with high strength anti-corrosion steels with reduced sectional thickness meet the safety evaluation criteria, hence the proposed roadside barrier made by high strength and high anti-corrosion hot-dip zinc-aluminium-magnesium alloy-coated steel will be a good solution to serve safe impact performance as well as save maintenance cost.

  • Magnesium alloys are being extensively used in weight-saving applications and as a potential replacement for plastics in electronic and computer applications. Magnesium alloy has some good characteristics, EMI shielding property and high specific strength. Nevertheless their high brittleness make it uneasy to process the magnesium. Magnesium alloys are extruded like aluminium alloys. The present work was done to find a characteristic of magnesium alloy(AZ31) changing the extrusion ratio 8.5, 19.1, 49 respectly and changing the die half angle $30^{\circ},\;45^{\circ},\;60^{\circ}$. Here this present done by the hydrostatic extrusion in the hot condition, $310^{\circ}$. The higher the extrusion ratio goes, the higher the extrusion force goes.

  • Die casting process of Mg alloys for high temperature applications was studied to produce an engine oil pan. The aim of this paper is to evaluate die casting processes of the Aluminium oil pan and in parallel to apply new Mg alloy for die casting the oil pan. Temperature distributions of the die and flow pattern of the alloys in cavity were simulated to diecast a new Mg alloy by the flow simulation software. Dies have to be modified according to material characteristics because melting temperature and heat capacity are different. We changed the shape and position of runner, gate, vent hole and overflow by the simulation results. After several trial and error, oil pans of AE44 and MRI153M Mg alloys are produced successfully without defect. Sleeve filling ratio, cavity filling time and shot speed of die casting machine are important parameter to minimize the defect for die casting Magnesium alloy.

  • 덕티드 로켓의 가스발생기에 사용되는 추진제는 연료과농 추진제로서, 일반적인 고체 로켓 추진제에 비하여 과량의 금속연료와 소량의 산화제를 포함한다. 본 논문에서는 연료과농 추진제를 제조하기 위하여 보론 분말과 MgAl(Magnesium-Aluminium Alloy)를 적용하였다. 이 금속연료를 적용한 추진제의 특성을 분석하였고, 이를 통하여 최적의 조성을 연구하였다. 추진제의 연소생성물 분석을 통하여 보론 비드가 아닌 미립의 보론 분말로도 가스발생기용 연료과농 추진제가 가능함을 확인하였다.

  • Magnesium alloys have given high attention to the industry of light-weigh as automobile and electronics with aluminium, titanium and composite alloys due to their high strength, low specific density and good damping characteristics. But the magnesium contained structures under high temperature have the problems related to creep deformation and rupture life, which is a reason of developing the new material against creep deformation to use them safely. The purpose of this study is to predict the creep deformation mechanism and rupture time of AZ31 magnesium alloy. For this, creep tests of AZ31 magnesium alloy were done under constant creep load and temperature with the equipment including automatic temperature controller with acquisition computer. The apparent activation energy Qc, the applied stress exponent n and rupture life have been determined over the temperature range below 0.5Tm and stress range of 109~187MPa, respectively, in order to investigate the creep behavior. AZ31 Magnesium alloy identify the activation energy for creep deformation and the stress dependence to creep rate at below 0.5Tm, and then investigate the mechanism for creep deformation and creep rupture life of AZ31 Magnesium alloy.

  • Magnesium is the lightest of all the structural metals having density of 1.74. It is approximately 2/3 lighter than aluminium, l/4 lighter than titanium alloy and 1/5 lighter than iron. Among the light-weight alloys, magnesium and its alloys show a good possibility for high performance aerospace and automotive applications, however the widespread use of magnesium alloys has been limited mainly by its poor oxidation and corrosion resistance. In this work, corrosion-resistive thin films were prepared onto the magnesium alloy substrate(AZ91D) by environmental friendly coating technique, ion plating method. And their corrosion protection mechanism were analyzed.

고내식성 용융합금도금강판 적용 교량난간의 충돌성능 평가 (Crashworthiness Evaluation of Bridge Barriers Built with Hot-dip Zinc-aluminium-magnesium Alloy-coated Steel)

  • 본 논문은 도로안전시설물의 공용중 부식 발생으로 인한 기능 손실을 줄일 수 있는 방안으로 고내식성 용융합금도금 강판을 적용한 도로안전시설물을 제안한다. 고내식성 용융합금도금강판을 적용한 도로안전시설물 제품에 대한 신뢰성 있는 충돌성능 평가 기초자료를 제공할 목적으로 고내식강이 적용된 교량난간 제품에 대한 충돌 시뮬레이션 및 실물 차량 충돌시험 연구를 수행한다. 시뮬레이션 및 실차충돌 시험 결과, 변형률 속도 의존성을 고려할 수 있는 정교한 동특성 재료모델을 도입한 충돌 시뮬레이션을 통해 얻어지는 충돌 거동과 실물 차량 충돌 시험 결과가 매우 유사한 것으로 도출되었다. 본 논문에서 제안된 고내식성 용융합금도금 강판을 적용한 교량난간은 실물 차량 충돌 시험의 충돌성능 평가 기준을 모두 충족시켜 현장 적용을 앞두고 있다.

사형 주조 마그네슘 합금의 인장 특성에 미치는 합금 원소와 결정립 미세화의 영향 (Effects of Alloying Element and Grain Refinement on the Tensile Properties of Mg-Alloy Casted with Sand Mold)

  • The effects of alloying element and grain refinement on the tensile properties of magnesium alloy poured into sand mold were investigated. The strength of magnesium alloy was greatly increased by the addition of aluminium and that was increased with the increased aluminum content added up to 8.10 wt% and decreased beyond that. Even though the strength of Mg-8.10 wt%Al alloy was rather decreased by the addition of zinc, that was increased with increased zinc content added up to 0.50 wt% and decreased with the increased one beyond that. The maximum tensile strength was obtained with 0.50 wt%Mn added. The strength and elongation were simultaneously increased with grain refinement and the optimum amount of strontium addition for this was 0.30 wt%. The optimum chemical composition was obtained and the yield strength, tensile strength and elongation of the alloy with this composition were 90.2, 176.3MPa and 4.43%, respectively.

고규소(高珪素)-AI합금(合金)의 고온강도(高溫强度)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Strength of High-Silicon Aluminium Alloys at Elevated Temperatures)

  • In this study, the variations of tensile strength and yield strength of Al-20% Si alloy were studied. Copper, magnesium and nickel as alloying elements added from 1% to 3% respectively. The temperature range was from room temperature to $350^{\circ}C$. The refinement of primary silicon crystal was treated with phosphorous addition. The results obtained are as follows: 1. Tensile strnegth and yield strength showed more increased strength in refining treated alloy than that of in nonrefining alloy at elevated temperature. 2. Tensile strength and yield strength were increased with the contents of copper. Tensile strength showed the maximum at $150^{\circ}C$, but yield strength was decreased with increasing temperature. 3. The effect of magnesium addition on tensile strength and yield strength showed the maximum at 1% addition and $150^{\circ}C$. 4. Tensile strength and yield strength showed a slight increase with the content changes of nickel and they were decreased with increasing temperature.
