냉간 압연기용 롤의 배열이 마멸에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Roll Arrangement in the Cold Rolling Mill on the Wear)

  • Work roll wear in the cold rolling of mild steel strip is strongly affected by rolling materials, rolling conditions such as roll arrangement in the cold rolling mill and lubrication. The tests were performed to find the effects of roll arrangement n the cold rolling mill on the work roll wear under the same lubricating conditions. The obtained results are as follows:If the distance of cold rolling is about 60km, the surface roughness of its was reduced by half(Ra 0.49${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) and Pc(peak count) also was decreased to 60 ea/cm.It is easier for CC(Continuous casting) to make a slip on rolling than IC(Ingot casting). It is due to surface mirror in which first residual product appears and iron powder included Al2O3 is sticked. Because bending degree of 4Hi-rolling mill is higher than 6Hi-rolling mill, the first surface mirror was occurred to its center-point which is loaded strongly. 6Hi-rolling mill shape-controlled by intermediate roll doesn't need the initial crown to work roll. Therefore, fatigue and wear would appear a little bit.

식스 시그마 기반 LCD이송장치의 Gripper부 강건설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Six Sigma Robust Design of Gripper Part for LCD Transfer System)

  • This paper presents the robust design of gripper part for a high-speed LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) transfer system. In this paper, the $1^{st}$ DOE(Design of Experiment) is conducted to find out main-effect factors for the design of gripper part. Thirty-six analysis are performed using $ANSYS^{(R)}$ and their results are statistically analyzed using $MINITAB^{(R)}$, which shows that the factors, i.e., First-width, Second-width, Rec-width, and thickness of gripper part, are more important than other factors. The main effect plots shows that the maximum deflection and mass of gripper part are minimized by increasing First-width, Second-width, Rec-width and thickness. The $2^{nd}$ DOE is conducted to obtain RSM(Response Surface Method) equation. The CCD(Central Composite Design) technique with four factors is used. Optimum design is conducted using the RSM equation. Genetic algorithm is used for optimal design. Six sigma robust design is conducted to find out a guideline for control range of design parameter. To obtain six sigma level quality, the standard deviations of design parameters are shown to be controlled within 5% of average design value.

Highly Robust AHHVSCR-Based ESD Protection Circuit

  • In this paper, a new structure for an advanced high holding voltage silicon controlled rectifier (AHHVSCR) is proposed. The proposed new structure specifically for an AHHVSCR-based electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuit can protect integrated circuits from ESD stress. The new structure involves the insertion of a PMOS into an AHHVSCR so as to prevent a state of latch-up from occurring due to a low holding voltage. We use a TACD simulation to conduct a comparative analysis of three types of circuit - (i) an AHHVSCR-based ESD protection circuit having the proposed new structure (that is, a PMOS inserted into the AHHVSCR), (ii) a standard AHHVSCR-based ESD protection circuit, and (iii) a standard HHVSCR-based ESD protection circuit. A circuit having the proposed new structure is fabricated using $0.18{\mu}m$ Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS technology. The fabricated circuit is also evaluated using Transmission-Line Pulse measurements to confirm its electrical characteristics, and human-body model and machine model tests are used to confirm its robustness. The fabricated circuit has a holding voltage of 18.78 V and a second breakdown current of more than 8 A.

Influence of Heat-Treatment on the Adhesive Strength between a Micro-Sized Bonded Component and a Silicon Substrate under Bend and Shear Loading Conditions

  • Adhesive bend and shear tests of micro-sized bonded component have been performed to clarify the relationship between effects of heat-treatment on the adhesive strength and the bonded specimen shape using Weibull analysis. Multiple micro-sized SU-8 columns with four different diameters were fabricated on a Si substrate under the same fabrication condition. Heat-treatment can improve both of the adhesive bend and shear strength. The improvement rate of the adhesive shear strength is much larger than that of the adhesive bend strength, because the residual stress, which must change by heat-treatment, should effect more strongly on the shear loading. In case of bend type test, the adhesive bend strength in the smaller diameters (50 and $75\;{\mu}m$) widely vary, because the critical size of the natural defect (micro-crack) should vary more widely in the smaller diameters. In contrast, in case of shear type test, the adhesive shear strengths in each diameter of the columns little vary. This suggests that the size of the natural defects may not strongly influence on the adhesive shear strength. All the result suggests that both of the adhesive bend and shear strengths should be complicatedly affected by heat-treatment and the bonded columnar diameter.

  • In this study, examined the cutting characteristics of alumuminum alloy AC8A-T6 that is used to present car piston materials. And in been holding materials machining empirically escape as result that experiment comparison changing the cutting speed and feed on various condition to choose efficient machining condition. The following results can be summarized from this research. 1. As the cutting speed decreased, principal cutting force and thrust cutting force is increased, and reason that cutting force interacts greatly in the low cutting speed is thought by result by BUE's stabilization. 2. The feed speed and cutting speed increase, friction factor is decrescent and the cause appeared the thrust cutting force is fallen than cutting force relatively because chip flow according to increase of the feed rate is constraint. 3. Though specific cutting resistance grows cutting area and the feed rate are few, the cause was expose that shear angle decreases by rake face of tool gets into negative angle remarkably as wear of a cutting tool or defect part of workpiece is cut. 4. Cutting speed do greatly depth of cut is slow, surface roughness examined closely through an experiment that becomes bad, and know that it can get good surface that process cutting speed because do feed rate by 0.1mm/rev low more than 250m/min to get good surface roughness can.

데이터 시각화 및 탐색적 데이터 분석을 통한 태양광 에너지 예측용 특징벡터 추출 (Feature Vector Extraction for Solar Energy Prediction through Data Visualization and Exploratory Data Analysis)

  • 태양광 발전 시스템에서 전력 생산은 기상 상태에 따라 크게 영향을 받으므로 안정적인 부하 운용을 위해 태양광 에너지에 대한 예측이 필수적이다. 따라서 태양광 에너지 예측을 위한 기계학습 알고리즘의 입력으로 기상 상태에 대한 데이터가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 알고리즘에 대한 입력 데이터로 표면의 3시간 동안 누적된 강수량, 상 하향 장파 복사선 평균, 상 하향 단파 복사선 평균, 지상 2m에서의 3시간 동안 온도, 표면에서의 온도 등 15가지 종류의 기상 데이터를 사용한다. 기상 데이터의 통계적 특성을 파악하고 상관관계를 분석하여 태양광 에너지와 70% 이상의 높은 상관성을 갖는 하향 단파 복사선 평균과 상향 단파 복사선 평균을 특징벡터의 주요 원소로 추출하였다.

  • Laser welding of dissimilar metals has been widely used to improve a wear resistance and a corrosion resistance of the industrial parts. The objective of this research works is to investigate the influence of the process parameters, such as the welding for SM45C and STS304 with CW Nd:YAG lasers. The bead-on-plate welding tests are carried out for several combinations of the experimental conditions. In order to quantitatively examine the characteristics of the dissimilar welding, the welding quality of the cut section, stain-stress behavior and the hardness of the welded part are investigated. From the results of the investigation, it has been shown that the optimal welding condition without defects in the vicinity of the welded area and with a good welding qualify is 1600W of the laser power, 0.85m/min of welding speed and $4{\ell}/min$ of pressure for shielding gas.

  • Many issues arose to use the Pb-free solder as adhesive materials in MEMS ICs and packaging. Then this study for easy and simple sealing method using adhesive materials was carried out to maintain hermetic characteristic in MEMS Package. In this study, Hermetic characteristic using negative PR (XP SU-8 3050 NO-2) as adhesive at the interface of Si test coupon/glass substrate and Si test coupon/LTCC substrate was examined. For experiment, the dispenser pressure was 4 MPa and the $200\;{\mu}m{\Phi}$ syringe nozzle was used. 3.0 mm/sec as speed of dispensing and 0.13 mm as the gap between Si test coupon and nozzle was selected to machine condition. 1 min at $65^{\circ}C$ and 15 min at $95^{\circ}C$ as Soft bake, $200\;mj/cm^2$ expose in 365 nm wavelength as UV expose, 1 min at $65^{\circ}C$ and 6 min at $95^{\circ}C$ as Post expose bake, 60 min at $150^{\circ}C$ as hard bake were selected to activation condition of negative PR. Hermetic sealing was achieved at the Si test coupon/ glass substrate and Si test coupon/LTCC substrate. The leak rate of Si test coupon/glass substrate was $5.9{\times}10^{-8}mbar-l/sec$, and there was no effect by adhesive method. The leak rate of Si test coupon/LTCC substrate was $4.9{\times}10^{-8}mbar-l/sec$, and there was no effect by dispensing cycle. Better leak rate value could be achieved to use modified substrate which prevent PR flow, to increase UV expose energy and to use system that controls gap automatically with vision.

Detection of tension force reduction in a post-tensioning tendon using pulsed-eddy-current measurement

  • Post-tensioning (PT) tendons are commonly used for the assembly of modularized concrete members, and tension is applied to the tendons during construction to facilitate the integrated behavior of the members. However, the tension in a PT tendon decreases over time due to steel corrosion and concrete creep, and consequently, the stress on the anchor head that secures the PT tendon also diminishes. This study proposes an automatic detection system to identify tension reduction in a PT tendon using pulsed-eddy-current (PEC) measurement. An eddy-current sensor is installed on the surface of the steel anchor head. The sensor creates a pulsed excitation to the driving coil and measures the resulting PEC response using the pick-up coil. The basic premise is that the tension reduction of a PT tendon results in stress reduction on the anchor head surface and a change in the PEC intensity measured by the pick-up coil. Thus, PEC measurement is used to detect the reduction of the anchor head stress and consequently the reduction of the PT tendon force below a certain threshold value. The advantages of the proposed PEC-based tension-reduction-detection (PTRD) system are (1) a low-cost (< $ 30), low-power (< 2 Watts) sensor, (2) a short inspection time (< 10 seconds), (3) high reliability and (4) the potential for embedded sensing. A 3.3 m long full-scale monostrand PT tendon was used to evaluate the performance of the proposed PTRD system. The PT tendon was tensioned to 180 kN using a custom universal tensile machine, and the tension was decreased to 0 kN at 20 kN intervals. At each tension, the PEC responses were measured, and tension reduction was successfully detected.

수로의 기계화 시공의 필요성 (The need for mechanization in todays canal building program in korea and overseas)

  • 옛날에는 인력(人力)으로 수로(水路)를 만들었으나 기계(機械)의 발달(發達) 및 임금(賃金)의 상승(上昇)에 따라 기계화(機械化) 시공(施工)이 경제적(經濟的)으로 유리(有利)하게 되었으며 앞으로 이런 현상은 더욱 가속(加速)될 것이다. 수로(水路)의 기계시공(機械施工)은 굴착, 정리(整理), 포장(鋪裝)으로 나누어지며 굴착은 수로(水路)의 단면(斷面)을 대략적인 형태(形態)로 만드는 것이고 정리(整理)는 포장(鋪裝)을 할수 있게 .수로(水路)의 사면(斜面)과 바닥을 정확한 모양으로 다듬는 것이다. 정리(整理)의 정밀도(精密度)에 따라 포장용(鋪裝用) 재료(材料)의 양(量)이 크게 좌우(左右)된다. 자동정리기(自動整理機)는 종래의 것이 $20{\sim}40mm$의 표면(表面) 요철(凹凸)이 생기게 하나 현재(現在)는 ${\pm}6mm$의 정도(程度)까지 가능(可能)하다. 현재(現在)의 자동기계(自動機械)는 1인(人)의 운전원(運轉員)이 1일(日) $1,000{\sim}2,000m^3$까지 굴착 정리(整理)를 할수 있다. 콘크리트 포장(鋪裝)은 인력(人力)비빔으로 할때 1일(日) $2m^3/day$의 양(量)도 어렵고 로타리 믹서를 써도 $20m^3/day$ 정도(程度)이나 콘크리트 뱃치 푸랜트로 하면 $100{\sim}500m^3\day$가 가능하다. 그러나 대형(大型) 포장기(鋪裝機)를 사용(使用)하면 1일(日) 대형(大型) 수로(水路) $300{\sim}1,000m$를 포장(鋪裝)할수 있다. 수로(水路)의 기계시공(機械施工)은 콘크리트 포장(鋪裝) 두께를 균일(均一)하게 하므로써 콘크리트 비용(費用)을 최대(最大)로 절감(節減)하며 포장(鋪裝)의 품질(品質)을 좋게한다. 수로(水路)의 기계시공외(機械施工外)에도 많은 새로운 기계(機械)들이 사용(使用)되고 있으며 이러한 기계(機械)의 활용(活用)이 기술발전(技術發展)에 크게 기여하게 될 것이다.
