  • High power impulse magnetron sputtering (HIPIMS), also known as the technology is called peak power density in a short period, you can get high, so high ionization sputtering rate can make. Higher ionization of sputtered species to a variety of coating materials conventional in the field of improving the characteristics and self-assisted ion thin film deposition process, which contributes to a superior being. HIPIMS at the same power, but the deposition speed is slow in comparison with DC disadvantages. Since recently as a replacement for HIPIMS modulated pulse power (MPP) has been developed. This ionization rate of the sputtered species can increase the deposition rate is lowered and at the same time to overcome the problems to be reported. The differences between the MPP and the HIPIMS is a simple single pulse with a HIPIMS whereas, MPP is 3 ms in pulse length is adjustable, with the full set of multi-pulses within the pulse period and the pulse is applied can be micro advantages. In this experiment, $In_2O_3$ : $SnO_2$ composition ratio of 9 : 1 wt% target was used, Ar : $O_2$ flow rate ratio is 4.8 to 13.0% of the rate of deposition was carried out at room temperature. Ar 40 sccm and the flow rate of $O_2$ and then fixed 2 ~ 6 sccm was compared against that. The thickness of the thin film deposition is fixed at 60 nm, when the partial pressure of oxygen at 9.1%, the specific resistance value of $4.565{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}cm$, transmittance 86.6%, mobility $32.29cm^2/Vs$ to obtain the value.

  • Design optimization is a method to find optimum point which minimizes the objective function while satisfying design constraints. The conventional optimization does not consider the uncertainty originated from modeling or manufacturing process, so optimum point often locates on the boundaries of constraints. Reliability based design optimization includes optimization technique and reliability analysis that calculates the reliability of the system. Reliability analysis can be classified into simulation method, fast probability integration method, and moment-based reliability method. In most generally used MPP based reliability analysis, which is one of fast probability integration method, if many MPP points exist, cost and numerical error can increase in the process of transforming constraints into standard normal distribution space. In this paper, multiplicative decomposition method is used as a reliability analysis for RBDO, and sensitivity analysis is performed to apply gradient based optimization algorithm. To illustrate whole process of RBDO mathematical and engineering examples are illustrated.

  • Objectives : This study was designed to investigate the neuroprotective effects of Hominis-Placenta (HP)on dopaminergic neurons. Methods : We examined the effect of invitro administration of HP against 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium( MPP+)-induced dopaminergic cell loss in primary mesencephalic culture and also used behavioral tests and performed analysis in the striatum and the substantia nigra of mouse brain, to confirm the effect of HP on dopaminergic neurons in an invivo 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine(MPTP)-induced PD mouse model. Animals were assigned to four groups: (1) Group 1(vehicle-treatedgroup), (2) Group 2(MPTPonlytreated group), (3) Group 3(MPTP+ saline-treated/$ST_{36}$ group), and (4) Group 4(MPTP+HP-treated/$ST_{36}$ group). HP at $20{\mu}L$ of 48 mg/kg dose was injected at $ST_{36}$ for 4 weeks at 2-day intervals. MPTP in saline was injected intraperitoneally each day for 5 days from the $8_{th}$ treatment of HP. We performed the pole test and rota-rod test on the first and seventh day after the last MPTP injection. To investigate the effect of HP on dopaminergic neurons, we performed analysis in the striatum and the substantia nigra of mouse brain after treatment with HP and/or MPTP. Results : Treatment with HP had no influence on cell proliferation and caused no cell toxicity in $PC_{12}$ and $HT_{22}$ cells. Our study showed that HP significantly prevented cell loss and protected neurites against MPP+ toxicity. Although the invivo treatment of HP herbal acupuncture at $ST_{36}$ showed a tendency to improve movement ability and protected dopaminergic cells and fibers in the substantia nigra and the striatum, it did not show significant changes compared with the MPTP treated group. Conclusions : These data suggest that HP could be a potential treatment strategy in neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease.

  • This paper describes a battery charger using photovoltaic energy harvesting with MPPT control. The proposed circuit harvests maximum power from a PV(photovoltaic) cell by employing MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) control and charges an external battery with the harvested energy. The charging state of the battery is controlled according to the signals from a battery management circuit. The MPPT control is implemented using linear relationship between the open-circuit voltage of a PV cell and its MPP voltage such that a pilot PV cell can track the MPP of a main PV cell in real time. The proposed circuit is designed in a $0.35{\mu}m$ CMOS process technology and its functionality has been verified through extensive simulations. The maximum efficiency of the designed entire system is 86.2% and the chip area including pads is $1.35mm{\times}1.2mm$.

  • Purpose: It is thought that Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection is more prevalent and causes more severe pneumonia in school-age children and young adults than in preschool children; however, recent studies suggest that the infection may be underdiagnosed and more severe in preschool children. This study investigated the clinical characteristics of Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP) and the risk factors of refractory MPP (RMPP) by age. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 353 children admitted due to MPP from January 2015 to December 2016. Demographics, clinical information, laboratory data and radiological findings were collected from all patients in this study. The patients were divided into 2 groups by the age of 6 years. Also, both preschool (< 6 years old) and school-age (${\geq}6$ years old) children were divided into RMPP and non-RMPP patients. Results: Total febrile days, febrile days before admission and the duration of macrolide antibiotic therapy were significantly longer in school-age children than in preschool children. School-age children had significantly greater risk of lobar consolidation (P=0.036), pleural effusion (P=0.001) and extrapulmonary complications (P=0.019). Necrotizing pneumonia and bronchiolitis obliterans tended to occur more frequently in preschool children than in school-age children. In both preschool and school-age children, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels were significantly higher in RMPP patients than in non-RMPP patients. In preschool children, LDH > 722 IU/L (odds ratio [OR], 3.02; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.44-6.50) and ferritin > 177 ng/mL (OR, 5.38; 95% CI, 1.61-19.49) were significant risk factors for RMPP, while LDH > 645 IU/L (OR, 4.12; 95% CI, 1.64-10.97) and ferritin > 166 ng/mL (OR, 5.51; 95% CI, 1.59-22.32) were so in school-age children. Conclusion: Clinical features of MPP were significantly different between preschool and school-age children. LDH and ferritin may be significant factors of RMPP in preschool and school-age children.

  • The proposed scheme is based on the modified perturb and observe (P&O) algorithm combined with the sliding mode technique. A modified P&O algorithm based sliding mode controller is developed to study the effects of partial shade, temperature, and insolation on the performance of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) used in photovoltaic (PV) systems. Under partially shaded conditions and temperature, the energy conversion efficiency of a PV array is very low, leading to significant power losses. Consequently, increasing efficiency by means of MPPT is particularly important. Conventional techniques are easy to implement but produce oscillations at MPP. The proposed method is applied to a model to simulate the performance of the PV system for solar energy usage, which is compared to the conventional methods under non-uniform insolation improving the PV system utilization efficiency and allowing optimization of the system performance. The modified perturb and observe sliding mode controller successfully overcomes the issues presented by non-uniform conditions and tracks the global MPP. Compared to MPPT techniques, the proposed technique is more efficient; it produces less oscillation at MPP in the steady state, and provides more precise tracking.

  • This paper proposes the optimal current detect(OCD) maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control of photovoltaic(PV) system for robust with environment changing. The output characteristics of the solar cell is a nonlinear and affected by a temperature, the solar radiation and temperature. Conventional MPPT control methods are tracked the maximum power point by constant incremental value. So these methods are slow the response speed and generated the vibration in steady state and cannot track the MPP in environment condition changing. And power loss is generated because of the self-excitation vibration in MPP region. To solve this problem, this paper proposes the novel control algorithm. Proposed algorithm is detected the optimal current in two control region using the output power and current curve. Detected current is used the converter switching for tracking the MPP. Proposed algorithm is compared output power error to conventional algorithm with radiation and temperature changing. In addition, the validity of the algorithm is proved through the output error response characteristics.
