비탈면에 파종된 붉나무(Rhus javanica) 개체군의 생육 및 공간분포 특성 - 용인 대지산 사례지역을 중심으로 - (Growth and Spatial Distribution Characteristics of Rhus javanica Populations Sowed on Cut-Slopes - Focusing on the Dae-Ji Mountain Case Study -)

  • This study was to evaluate the growth and spatial distribution characteristics of Rhus javanica population. The study was conducted between 2015 January and July at the cut-slope revegetation site in Dae-Ji Mountain. Seeds of native species were sowed on the disturbed cut-slope in 2002. There were 119 vascular plant species 55 families and 94 genera on the cut-slope. Compositae, Rosaceae, and Leguminosae plants were dominant species, which are pioneer species in dry and barren site. Canopy of trees covered 44.1% total area, which was 8.3% increase from 2008. Rhus javanica, main species, dominated all DBH classes except DBH >24cm. Albizzia julibrissin showed high frequency in the 6~17cm DBH class and Salix koreensis was abundant at >12cm. Elaeagnus umbellata, Corylus heterophylla var. heterophylla, Alnus sibirica, and Acer pictum were not observed. Rhus javanica population was the most frequently observed on the south facing cut-slope. The average DBH of Rhus javanica was $7.3({\pm}3.7)cm$ and the average height of them was $5.2({\pm}1.7)m$. Annual average DBH growth was 7.9mm/yr and the maximum growth(12.0mm/yr) was the $3^{rd}$ year. It decreased after $6^{th}$ years. Although Rhus javanica population in the Dae-Ji Mountain was a seed originated plantation, the forest had reverse J shape diameter frequency distribution. It indicated that the forest is uneven-aged forest. The Rhus javanica population was expected to sustain.

한라산 구상나무림의 사면별 식생구조와 치수발생 특성 (Vegetation Structure at the Slope Direction and Characteristic of Seedlings of Abies koreana in Hallasan Mountain)

  • This study surveyed Abies koreana to identify the correlation between its vegetation structure according to its slope direction and seedling establishment in a bid to build basic research data on the changes and conservation of the A. koreana in Hallasan Mountain. The findings of its vegetation structure revealed that in both areas, Importance value was given to the A. koreana for its tree layer, the Taxus cuspidata for its shrub layer, and the Sasa quelpaertensis for its herb layer. However, in the Youngsil area with the tree layer, high importance was given to deciduous broad-leaved trees such as Prunus maximowiczii, Quercus mongolica, and the young species of the A. koreana in the shrub layer that can maintain the A. koreana forest's greater importance in the Jindallebat than in the Youngsil. Thus, the A. koreana forest in the Jindallebat is believed to lastlonger. The findings of correlation between the quantity of seedlings and their location by area revealed that in each tiny quadrat, the A. koreana seedling averaged 5.3 in the Youngsil and 2.9 in the Jindallebat. Both areas were all found to have a positive correlation in terms of rock exposure ratio and dead tree ratio as well as a negative correlation with regard to the cover degree of S. quelpaertensis, the canopy gap, the total vegetation, and the herb layer. It was found that the cover degree of the herb layer in the Youngsil and the S. quelpaertensis in the Jindallebat had the largest impact on the A. koreana seedlings.

보호지역 인근 야생동물에 의한 농작물과 임산물 피해액 추정: 구례군 6개 산촌마을의 사례 (Estimating Economic Loss due to Wildlife Damage to Agriculture and Forestry Production Near Protected Areas: Case of Mountain Villages in Gurye-gun, Korea)

  • 최근 멧돼지와 같은 야생동물에 의한 작물 및 시설물 피해가 매우 심각한 사회적 문제로 대두되고 있다. 이 연구는 산악형 국립공원 인근 산촌주민들의 야생동물로 인한 농작물 및 임산물 피해액을 추정하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 2016년 4월과 6월에 지리산 국립공원과 인접한 구례군 토지면에 위치하는 6개 산촌마을을 조사하였고, 84가구로부터 얻은 자료를 토대로 분석하였다. 2015년 기준, 84가구의 야생동물에 의한 농작물 및 임산물 피해 추정액은 총 1억 3,863만원이었고, 가구당 연평균 165만원의 피해를 입었다. 이 중 야생동물에 의한 피해액이 가장 큰 것은 밤, 고사리, 돌배, 복숭아, 감자 등의 순이었으나, 단위면적당 피해액이 가장 큰 것은 고구마, 복숭아, 옥수수, 감자 등의 농작물이었다. 구례군 전체 농작물 및 임산물 생산지의 잠재적인 야생동물 피해액은 연간 약 40억 원으로 추정되었고, 구례군의 야생동물 피해 보상을 위한 연평균 예산액은 피해액의 0.9%에 불과한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 잠재적인 야생동물 피해에 대비하여 피해보상제도의 실효성을 높이기 위해서는 지자체의 재정자립도와 야생동물 피해의 책임을 고려하여 국가가 재정을 지원해야 함을 시사한다. 또한 산촌의 지속가능성을 위한 안정적인 작물 생산을 위해서는 형평성을 고려한 보상정책을 개발하고, 야생동물 피해예방시설의 효과성과 예방 지원 정책을 개선해야 한다.

서울 강북 도시화지역 서양등골나물군락 분포특성 (Distribution Characteristics of Ageratina altissima Community in Gangbuk Area, Seoul)

  • 본 연구는 서울 강북지역 중 중구, 용산구, 성동구, 서대문구, 마포구의 5개구. 총면적 90.15$\textrm{km}^2$를 대상으로 우리나라 도시지역에서 번성하는 귀화종인 서양등골나물(Ageratina altissima)군락 분포현황 및 특성을 규명하고자 수행하였다. 연구대상지내 서양등골나물군락의 총 분포면적은 1,860,805$m^2$이었으며 남산을 포함하고 있는 용산구(23.7%)와 중구(13.7%)에 가장 넓게 분포하고 있었다. 현존식생유형별 분포현황을 살펴보면 서양등골나물군락은 아까시나무림 하부에 주로 분포하였으나 남산만은 소나무림에서 분포면적이 넓은 것이 특징이었다. 단위면적 당 분포비율은 전체지역에서는 잣나무림이 가장 높았으나 남산을 제외하면 아까시나무림과 조경수식재지가 대부분을 차지하고 있었다. 수관피복율에 따른 분포경향은 교목층과 아교목층은 수관피복률이 높아질수록 분포비율이 높았고 특히 수관피복률 50% 이상인 지역에서 분포 비율이 높았다. 경사향과의 관계에서는 전반적으로 서향에서 넓게 분포하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 서양등골나물군락은 수관형성이 양호한 서사면 아까시나무림의 하부에서 주로 분포하고 있는 것으로 분석되었고 단층구조 소나무림으로의 식생관리지역에서는 서양등골나물군락이 확산되는 것으로 분석되었다. 추후 서양등골나물군락의 생육을 억제하기 위해서는 장기적으로 아까시나무림을 자생의 다층구조 낙엽활엽수군락으로 개선하는 시도가 이루어져야 할 것으로 판단되었다.

Allometric Equation for Biomass Determination in Chuqala Natural Forest, Ethiopia: Implication for Climate Change Mitigation

  • Biomass determination of species-specific in forest ecosystem by semi-destructive measures requires the development of allometric equations; predict aboveground biomass observable independent variables such as, Diameter at Breast Height, Height, and Volume are crucial role. There has not been equation of this type in mountain Chuqala natural forest. In this study two species namely, Hypericum revolutum Vahl. & Maesa lanceoleta Forssk. with tree diameter classes (15-20, 20.5-25, and 25.5-35 cm), with the purpose of conducting allometric equations were characterized. Each species assumed considered individually. For the linear model fit the two observed variable DBH, H and V were preferred for the prediction of above ground biomass. The best fitted model choose among the two formed model were identified using Akaike Information Criterion (AIC), and $R^2$ and adjacent $R^2$. Based on this the best fit model for Hypericum revolutum Vahl. was AGB=-681.015+4,494.06 (DBH), and for Maesa lanceoleta Forrsk. was. AGB=-936.96+5,268.92 (DBH).

경사진 산림지형에서의 자연유동에 대한 수치해석 (Numerical Simulation of the Flow Patterns with Sloping Forest Canopies)

  • Diurnal variation of the flow over a forest canopy on a mountain slope is simulated numerically. In the daytime, the earth surface is heated by the solar radiation and the flow goes up the mountain due to the buoyancy force, and during the night, the air is drained downward along the slope owing to the cooling of the surface by radiation. In this flow process the forest canopy that consists of leaf region and the trunk region plays a dominant role as a momentum sink to the flow, thus the modeling of the leaf area region and trunk region is critical to the successful flow simulation. In the present study, a field measurement in an experimental forest in the State of Oregon in the United States is numerically analyzed. The resistance to the flow in the leaf region is directly related to the leaf area density (LAD), and the trunk is modeled as a cylinder.

  • This study attempted to derive regional characteristics from forest areas in Fukuoka Prefecture, which are traditional forestry areas in Japan, but have reached a time when new conversions are needed due to a decrease in wood prices and loss of motivation due to natural disasters such as typhoons. As a result, most of them are distributed to areas that include urbanization, rural areas, and mountain villages, and production areas of remote materials, which have the potential for forestry, but need to change policies to revitalize them due to low mountain utilization. Therefore, forest management and forestry production activities by multiple municipalities were judged to be efficient in these regions due to the promotion of forestry infrastructure, such as the expansion of forestry networks and the creation of mechanized forestry.

RapidEye 위성영상과 구글 어스를 활용한 북한 DMZ의 산림현황 및 산림황폐지 변화 분석 (The Analysis of Changes in Forest Status and Deforestation of North Korea's DMZ Using RapidEye Satellite Imagery and Google Earth)

  • 본 연구는 위성영상을 바탕으로 북한 DMZ의 산림현황을 분석하고 산림황폐지의 변화를 분석하기 위해 수행되었다. 생육기·비생육기 RapidEye 위성영상을 활용하여 북한 DMZ의 토지피복을 분류하였다. 토지피복을 입목지(침엽수림, 활엽수림, 혼효림), 산림황폐지(산간나지, 개간산지, 무립목지), 비산림지로 분류하고 산림 및 산림황폐지 면적을 생태지리구획에 따라 집계하였다. 연안-배천지구, 법동-평강지구, 회양-금강지구, 통천-고성지구의 산림황폐율은 14.24%, 16.75%, 5.98%, 16.63%로 각각 산출되었으며, 북한 DMZ 내 산림황폐화 주요 원인은 산불과 산지전용으로 판단되었다. 또한, 구글 어스 영상을 통해 산림황폐지 변화를 분석하였으며, 산림황폐지 면적은 감소하고 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 향후 본 연구 결과는 북한 DMZ의 산림공간정보를 제공함으로 써 남북접경지역의 산림협력 전략 수립을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 가산지역(架山地域) 삼림식생(森林植生)을 식물사회학적(植物社會學的) 방법(方法)으로 분석(分析)하였던바 다음과 같은 결과(結果)를 얻었다. 1) 이 지역(地域) 삼림식생(森林植生)은 산지림(山地林)(소나무-물오리나무군락(群落))과 고원분지림(高原盆地林)(병꽃나무-뱀고사리군락(群落))으로 구분(區分)할 수 있었다. 2) 산지림(山地林)(I. 소나무-물오리나무군락(群落))은 I-A. 서어나무군(群), I-B. 고로쇠나무군(群)으로 구분(區分)되었고, I-A. 서어나무군(群)은 I-A-1. 쪽동백나무소군(小群), I-A-2. 비목나무소군(小群), I-A-3. 전형소군(典型小群), I-A-4. 산초나무소군(小群)으로 구분(區分)되었다. 3) 고원분지림(高原盆地林)(II. 병꽃나무-뱀고사리군락(群落))은 II-A. 서어나무군(群), II-B. 까치박달-다래군(群), II-C. 전형군(典型群)으로 구분(區分)되었고, II-A. 서어나무군(群)은 II-A-1. 노린재나무소군(小群), II-A-2. 전형소군(典型小群), II-A-3. 고로쇠나무소군(小群)으로 구분(區分)되었다. 소산식물상(所產植物相)은 105과(科), 350속(屬), 515종(種), 2아종(亞種), 12품종(品種), 87변종(變種)인 총(總) 616 종류(種類)가 분포(分布)하고 있었다.

한라산 구상나무 치수의 10년간 생장 변화 (Growth Changes in Abies koreana Seedlings of the Hallasan Mountain Over a 10-year Period)

  • This study was conducted to monitor the growth and development of Abies koreana seedlings in the Hallasan Mountain. Accordingly, the obtained results indicate that the number of A. koreana seedlings increased by 2.6 and 4.8 times in the Yeongsil and Jindallaebat areas, respectively, over the 10-year period. Most of these seedlings were found to be growing on moss-covered rocks. The average tree height over the last 10 years was obtained as 20.4 cm in the Yeongsil area and 3.6 cm in Jindallaebat with growths of 4.1 cm and 1.4 cm, respectively over the last 2 years. Of all the mature trees that were surviving in 2009, 6 died in Yeongsil in 2014 (with an additional 4 in 2018) and 13 in Jindallaebat in 2016. Over the 10-year period, the diameter at breast height of the trees in Yeongsil and Jindallaebat has increased by an average of 0.6 cm and 4.2 cm. Similarly, an average of 6.8 cones was found in the Yeongsil area in 2014 and 26.3 in Jindallaebat in 2016. However, in 2018, no additional cones were found in the former, although an average of 1.4 cones was observed in the latter. With respect to the average temperature and relative humidity, no significant difference could be observed between two monitored areas from 2016 to 2018. However, in July 2017 and February 2018, the average temperature was higher in the Jindallaebat area, while relative humidity was higher in Yeongsil, there by possibly affecting cone growth and flowering between areas. These results indicate the survival and growth of A. koreana seedlings in the Hallasan Mountain is sensitive to the environments of each area. Hence, continuous monitoring of the environment changes and in-depth studies on the flowering and fruiting of A. koreana seedlings needs to be carried out in order to analyze the relationship between their survival rates and changes in weather conditions.
