In this paper, we propose the fault-tolerant network-based mobility management scheme for supporting multimedia services of broadcasting & communications convergence in fixed mobile convergence (FMC) networks. The proposed scheme is based on AIMS (Access Independent Mobility Service) which is developed for the mobility support among heterogeneous access networks. To support stable location management and handover control for a MN, the proposed scheme supports stable management of binding information by sensing network attachment and detachment of a mobile node (MN). In addition, the proposed fault-tolerant (FT) AIMS supports a function of message retransmission for the support of handover control message and a function of heartbeat message transmission for the support of stable access network environments to a mobile node. We evaluate and analyze the performance of the proposed scheme through the implementation of AIMS system test-bed.
The Zr-0.2Sn-0.8Nb-X(X = 0~200ppm Si, 0~0.4wt.% Mo and Mn respectively) ingots for test specimens were manufactured by a vacuum arc re-melting method to find out the effect of Si, Mo, and Mn on the corrosion characteristics of the Zr-0.2Sn-0.8Nb alloy. After being heat-treated and rolled repeatedly out to be flat materials, they were finally heat-treated at 51$0^{\circ}C$ for three hours and used as the specimens for corrosion tests. The corrosion behavior of the specimens was studied in both 40$0^{\circ}C$ steam for 200 days and in aqueous 70 ppm LiOH solution at 36$0^{\circ}C$ for 90 days. From the study it was found that Si from 80 to 200 ppm contributed to increasing the corrosion resistance of Zr-0.2Sn-0.8Nb alloy in both steam and LiOH solution. This study also showed that Mn from 0.1 to 0.4% caused to go up the corrosion resistance, whereas Mo played a apart in improving the corrosion resistance only between 0.05 and 0.2 wt.%.
Mass production-capable $Li_2MnSiO_4$ powder was synthesized for use as cathode material in state-of-the-art lithium-ion batteries. These batteries are main powder sources for high tech-end digital electronic equipments and electric vehicles in the near future and they must possess high specific capacity and durable charge-discharge characteristics. Amorphous silicone was quite superior to crystalline one as starting material to fabricate silicone oxide with high reactivity between precursors of sol-gel type reaction intermediates. The amorphous silicone starting material also has beneficial effect of efficiently controlling secondary phases, most notably $Li_xSiO_x$. Lastly, carbon was coated on $Li_2MnSiO_4$ powders by using sucrose to afford some improved electrical conductivity. The carbon-coated $Li_2MnSiO_4$ cathode material was further characterized using SEM, XRD, and galvanostatic charge/discharge test method for morphological and electrochemical examinations. Coin cell was subject to 1.5-4.8 V at C/20, where 74 mAh/g was observed during primary discharge cycle.

We studied relation of X-ray diffraction and charge/discharge capacity of LiMn$_2$O$_4$ cathode. LiMn$_2$O$_4$ is prepared by reacting stoichiometric mixture of LiOH.$H_2O$ and MnO$_2$ (mole ratio 1 : 2) and heating at $700^{\circ}C$, 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 24hr, 36hr, 48hr, 60hr and 72hr. Through X-ray diffraction pattern, it is analyzed that crystal structure and lattice parameter and peak ratio so on. We obtained X-ray diffraction pattern that varied lattice parameter and peak intensity by function of calcining temperature and time. Cathode active materials calcined at 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 36hr shown that (111)/(311) Peak ratio at X-ray diffraction pattern was 0.37. It means that crystal structure is formed very well in this temperature and time. In the result of charge/discharge test, cathode active material calcined at 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 36hr displayed excellent charge/discharge properties than that of cathode active materials calcined at other temperature and title. In this study, we certified that spinel structure basied cubic is formed very well at 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 36hr. In this case, (111)/(311) peak ratio at X-ray diffraction is 0.37, and charge/discharge properties is excellent than others.
The high temperature deformation behavior of microalloyed hot forging steels has been examined as a function of the temperature, the strain rate, and the alloying element by using high temperature compression test. The high temperature deformation mechanism, which was obtained by analyzing the flow stress-strain curve and microstructure, could be considered to dynamic recrystallization. The peak stress of Nb-V-Mo steel was more increased and the dynamic recrystallization of Nb-V-Mo steel was faster than those of Nb-V steel. The peak stress of 1.2Mn-0.09Nb steel was more increased and the dynamic recrystallization of 1.2Mn-0.09Nb was delayed a little bit than those of 1.0Mn-0.05Nb. The peak stress of C-Nb-V steel was more increased and the dynamic recrystallization of C-Nb-V steel was delayed than those of C-steel. The constitutive equation of high temperature deformation had a power law type. The grain size of dynamic recrystallization was refined as the Zener-Hollomon parameter was increased. The relation of the dynamic recrystallization grain size and Zener-Hollomon parameter could be quantified to power law.
Application of a stronger and more durable material for reactor pressure vessels (RPVs) might be an effective way to insure the integrity and increase the efficiency of nuclear power plants. A series of research projects to apply the SA508 Gr.4 steel in ASME code to RPVs are in progress because of its excellent strength and durability compared to commercial RPV steel (SA508 Gr.3 steel). In this study, the microstructural characteristics and mechanical properties of SA508 Gr.3 Mn-Mo-Ni low alloy steel and SA508 Gr.4N Ni-Mo-Cr low alloy steel were investigated. The differences in the stable phases between these two low alloy steels were evaluated by means of a thermodynamic calculation using ThermoCalc. They were then compared to microstructural features and correlated with mechanical properties. Mn-Mo-Ni low alloy steel shows the upper bainite structure that has coarse cementite in the lath boundaries. However, Ni-Mo-Cr low alloy steel shows the mixture of lower bainite and tempered martensite structure that homogeneously precipitates the small carbides such as $M_{23}C_6$ and $M_7C_3$ due to an increase of hardenability and Cr addition. In the mechanical properties, Ni-Mo-Cr low alloy steel has higher strength and toughness than Mn-Mo-Ni low alloy steel. Ni and Cr additions increase the strength by solid solution hardening. In addition, microstructural changes from upper bainite to tempered martensite improve the strength of the low alloy steel by grain refining effect, and the changes in the precipitation behavior by Cr addition improve the ductile-brittle transition behavior along with a toughening effect of Ni addition.
To determine if micronucleus (MN) assay could be used to predict the absorbed dose of victims after accidental radiation exposure, we carried out to assess the absorbed dose depending on the numerical changes of MN in human peripheral blood lymphocytes after $^{60}Co\;{\gamma}-rays$ exposure in the range of 0.25 to 1 Gy, respectively. The MNs were observed at very low doses, and the numerical changes according to doses. Satisfactory dose-effect calibration curve is observed after low dose irradiation of human lymphocytes in vitro. When plotting on a linear scale against radiation dose, the line of best fit was $Y=(0.02{\pm}0.0009)+(0.033{\pm}0.010)D+(0.012{\pm}0.012)D^2$. The dose-response curve for MN induction immediately after irradiation was linear-quadratic and has a significant relationship between the frequencies of MN and dose. These data show a trend towards increase of the numbers of MN with increasing dose. The number of MN in lymphocytes that were observed in the control group is $0.1610{\pm}0.0093/cell$. Accordingly, MN assay in human peripheral lymphocytes could be a useful in viva model for studying radio-protective drug sensitivity or screening test, microdosimertic indicator and radiation-induced target organ injury. Since MN assay is simple, rapid and reproducible, it will also be a biodosimetric indicator for individual dose assessment after accidental exposure.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate changes in the mandibular dental arch from presurgical orthodontic treatment and orthognathic surgery, and to evaluate the relationships between the pretreatment records and changes of mandibular dental arch in skeletal Class III malocclusion individuals. Methods: Lateral cephalometric radiographs and mandibular study models of 31 adults with skeletal class III malocclusion were taken and measured. All measurements were evaluated statistically by ANOVA, Scheffe's Post Hoc, and paired t-test, and correlation coefficients were evaluated. Results: No significant difference in Mn-LMMC, Mn-LIE, Mn-MnOcc was detected between pretreatment and presurgical groups. Statistically significant but low correlations were demonstrated between the initial arch length discrepancy (ALD) and change in ICW, IPW1 (r = 0.492, 0.615) and change in arch length (r = 0.641). No association was seen between the initial depth of curve of Spee and change in mandibular incisor angle and arch width or arch length. Regression analysis showed that the amount of change for arch length and IPW1 could be explained by 64.0% and 75.8% of the pretreatment variables respectively. Conclusions: This study suggests that orthognathic surgery results can be predictable by measuring the pretreatment records.
In this study, NMO (Natural Manganese Ore), $MnO_2$, and $Mn_2O_3$ catalysts were used in the selective catalytic reduction process to remove nitrogen oxides (NOx) using $NH_3$ as a reducing agent at low temperatures in the presence of oxygen. In the case of the NMO (Natural Manganese Ore), it was confirmed that the conversion of nitrogen oxides in the stability test did not change even after 100 hours at 423 K. The Kinetics experiments were carried out within the range where heat and mass transfer were not factors. From a steady-state Kinetics study, it was found that the low-temperature SCR reaction was zero order with the respect to $NH_3$ and 0.41 ~ 0.57 order with the respect to NO and 0.13 ~ 0.26 order with the respect to $O_2$. As temperature increases, the reaction order decreases as a result of $NH_3$ and oxygen concentration. It was confirmed that the reaction between the $NH_3$ dissociated and adsorbedon the catalyst surface and the gaseous nitrogen monoxide (E-R model) and the reaction with the adsorbed nitrogen monoxide (L-H model) occur.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the corrosion behaviors of dental implant alloy after microsized surface modification in electrolytes containing Mn ion. Materials and Methods: $Mn-TiO_2$ coatings were prepared on the Ti-6Al-4V alloy for dental implants using a plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) method carried out in electrolytes containing different concentrations of Mn, namely, 0%, 5%, and 20%. Potentiodynamic method was employed to examine the corrosion behaviors, and the alternatingcurrent (AC) impedance behaviors were examined in 0.9% NaCl solution at $36.5^{\circ}C{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$ using a potentiostat and an electrochemical impedance spectroscope. The potentiodynamic test was performed with a scanning rate of $1.667mV\;s^{-1}$ from -1,500 to 2,000 mV. A frequency range of $10^{-1}$ to $10^5Hz$ was used for the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. The amplitude of the AC signal was 10 mV, and 5 points per decade were used. The morphology and structure of the samples were examined using field-emission scanning electron microscopy and thin-film X-ray diffraction. The elemental analysis was performed using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. Result: The PEO-treated surface exhibited an irregular pore shape, and the pore size and number of the pores increased with an increase in the Mn concentration. For the PEO-treated surface, a higher corrosion current density ($I_{corr}$) and a lower corrosion potential ($E_{corr}$) was obtained as compared to that of the bulk surface. However, the current density in the passive regions ($I_{pass}$) was found to be more stable for the PEO-treated surface than that of the bulk surface. As the Mn concentration increased, the capacitance values of the outer porous layer and the barrier layer decreased, and the polarization resistance of the barrier layers increased. In the case of the Mn/Ca-P coatings, the corroded surface was found to be covered with corrosion products. Conclusion: It is confirmed that corrosion resistance and polarization resistance of PEO-treated alloy increased as Mn content increased, and PEO-treated surface showed lower current density in the passive region.
