A Study on Development of a Cognitive Process Simulator Based on Model Human Processor (모델휴먼프로세서를 활용한 인지과정 시뮬레이터 구축에 관한 연구)

  • Though limited, Model Human Processor (MHP) has been used to explain the complex users' behaviors during human-computer interactions in a simplified manner. MHP consists of perceptual, cognitive and motor systems, each with processors and memories interacting with each other in serial or parallel mode. The important parameters of memory include the storage capacity, the decay time, and the code type of a memorized item. The important parameter of a processor is the cycle time. Using these features of the model, this study developed a computerized cognitive process simulator to predict the cognitive process time of a class match task process. An experimental validity test result showed that the mean prediction time for cognitive process of the class match task simulated 50 times by the simulator was consistent with the mean cognitive process time of the same task performed by 37 subjects. Animation of the data flow during the class match task simulation will help understand the invisible human cognitive process.

The aim of the present investigation is to study the relationship of static creep and cyclic creep behavior of pure copper and the formulation of these phenomena with the special attention to the instantaneous strain. strain rate from time and number of cycles have the same inclination Steady state creep rate depend upon maximum stress and can be expressed as linear function according to Power law creep equations Creep rupture time has relation with creep rate. and it make a group represented as the same direct line regardless of max stress, stress ratio and the temperature. Initial strain effect on continuous creep deformation. and have guantitative relationship between elastic and Plastic strain. LMP have similar tendency than OSDP and MHP according to temperature

  • Numerical and experimental studies were performed to examine the characteristics of heat and mass transfer processes for a Micro Heat Pipe(MHP) with a triangular cross-section. Solutions on mass flow rate, pressure variation, and radius of meniscus were obtained using the mathematical model developed by Faghri and Khrustalev. To obtain an increase in capillary limitation, a triangular tube with curved walls was designed and fabricated. The measurement by microscope showed that the radius at corners of the tube was ranging between 0.03-0.05mm. Performance test for MHPs using the triangular tube with curved walls proved a substantial increasement in heat transport limitation, with 4.5W and 2.0W in case of using water and ethanol as a working fluid, respectively. In the previous study by Faghri a limitation of 0.5W was reported for a water MHP with a regular triangular tube.

  • In this paper presents a control algorism for myoelectric hand prosthesis(MHP) with 2 degree of freedom(DOF), which consists of a mechanical hand, a surface myoelectric sensor(SMES) for measuring myoelectric signal, a control system and a charging battery. The actuation for the 2-DOF hand functions such as grasping and wrist rotation was performed by two DC-motors, and controlled by myoelectric signal measured from the residual forearm muscle. The two controllers were made of a RISC-type microprocessor, and its software was executed on a real-time kernel. The experimental results were showed that the proposed a control algorism is feasible for the MHP.
