NIST SP 800-90B의 최소 엔트로피 추정 알고리즘에 대한 고속 구현 및 효율적인 메모리 사용 기법 (High-Speed Implementation and Efficient Memory Usage of Min-Entropy Estimation Algorithms in NIST SP 800-90B)

  • 최근 NIST에서는 암호학적 난수발생기의 핵심 요소인 엔트로피 소스의 안전성을 평가하기 위한 방법을 다루고 있는 SP 800-90B 문서의 두 번째 수정안과 이를 Python으로 구현한 코드를 제공하였다. SP 800-90B에서의 엔트로피 소스에 대한 안전성 평가는 엔트로피 소스의 출력 표본 수열로부터 도출한 여러 가지 추정량(estimator)에 기반 하여 최소 엔트로피를 추정하는 과정이다. 최소 엔트로피 추정 과정은 IID 트랙과 non-IID 트랙으로 대별되어 진행된다. IID 트랙의 경우 MCV 추정량만을 사용하여 속도 측면에서 무리가 없다. 반면 non-IID 트랙에서는 MCV를 포함한 총 10 가지의 추정량을 적용해 최소 엔트로피를 추정하게 된다. NIST의 코드에서 non-IID 트랙의 1 회 구동 시간은 약 20 분이 소요되고, 사용되는 메모리는 5.5 GB를 넘긴다. 이는 다양한 잡음원으로 반복적인 평가를 수행해야 하는 평가 기관 또는 여러 환경에서 실험을 수행해야 하는 개발자나 연구자 입장에서는 NIST에서 제공한 Python 코드를 이용하는 것이 불편할 수 있으며, 환경에 따라 실행이 불가할 수도 있다. 본 논문에서는 SP 800-90B의 최소 엔트로피 추정 방법에 대한 고속 구현과 효율적인 메모리 사용 기법을 제시한다. 주요 연구 결과로 MultiMCW 추정 방법에 C++ 코드의 장점을 적용한 고속화 방법, MultiMMC 추정 방법의 데이터 저장 방식을 재구성하여 메모리 사용량을 현저하게 감소시킴과 동시에 고속화한 방법, LZ78Y 추정 방법에 데이터 저장 방식의 재구성을 통한 고속화 기법 등을 제안한다. 우리의 개선된 방법이 종합적으로 적용된 C++ 코드는 NIST에서 제공한 기존의 Python 코드와 비교할 때, 속도는 14 배 빠르고 메모리 사용량은 1/13로 감소하는 효과를 보인다.

  • 본 연구는 돼지의 발정동기화에 의한 과배란 유기시 돼지 난소의 배란상태(황체수)와 혈액내 혈액성분(WBC, RBC Hb, HCT, MCV, MCH, MCHC, Platelet)과의 비교분석을 통하여 다배란에 따른 표지(Marker) 혈액성분을 구명하기 위하여 실시하였다. 돼지 난소의 배란상태를 구명하기 위하여 30두의 성축 암컷을 이용하였으며, 발정 동기화는 PG 600(PMSG 400 IU, HCG 200IU)을 주사한 후 10일 후에 Regumate porcine을 6일간 급여한 후에 PMSG 주사하고 2일 후에 hCG주사한 다음날 자연종부를 실시하여 수정에 이르게 하였다. 봉약침을 이용한 전염성 연속종의 임상 치험례 보고 (Clincal Report on Treating Molluscum Contagiosum using Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture)

  • Objectives This study observed the efficacy of bee venom pharmacopuncture on the treatment of Molluscum Contagiosum commonly manifesting in children. Methods 104 patients admitted for Molluscum Contagiosum at Love Blossoming Oriental medicine clinic from August 2005 to August 2006 were administered with Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture and measured and analyzed changes in symptoms. Results 1. Regardless of age or duration of Molluscum Contagiosum, all 104 patients showed improvement. 2. Recurrence of Molluscum Contagiosum was not noticeable when treated with Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture, and the duration of treatment was significantly shorter than treating with conventional allopathic ointment. 3. Regardless of size or location of Molluscum Contagiosum, most cases improved with one or two treatments. Conclusion Based on above findings, we can deduce Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture has superior anti-viral effects on the pox virus of molluscum contagiosum (MCV1,2).

김치의 섭취가 성인 남성의 철분영양상태 지표에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Kimchi Consumption on Iron Status in Adult Male Volunteers)

  • The aim of this was to investigate whether the regular consumption of kimchi influences the iron status (RBC , Hb, Ht, MCH, MCV, MCHC, transferrin , serum iron, and ferritin) in volunteers. Healthy male adults(n=12) took part in the study subdivided into the control Ⅰ-phase(for 2weeks), kimchi-phase (for 4 weeks), and control Ⅱ-phase(for 2 weeks). In addition to their normal diet, participant consumed 300g of lactic acid fermented Chinese cabbage kimchi daily for four weeks. In the control Ⅰ and control Ⅱ phases, the participants kept up their normal diets without consuming any fermented foods. Dietary intakes were recorded for 3 consecutive days in each phase, with the aid of household measures. Every two weeks. blood specimens were analysed. Significant differences(p<0.05) between the phases were found in MCHC, and transferrin in blood were not significantly changed during kimchi consumption. However, serum iron and ferritin levels were significantly increased(p<0.05) during kimchi consumption, achieving the highest levels in the fourth week of the kimchi components(ascrobic acid, sulfer compound, organic acid, capsaicin, gingerol , allicin). Because of lacticacid fermented kimchi's potential to prevent anemia , the consumption of this food can be recommended.

농축 미나리 추출물의 투여가 개의 혈액상에 미치는 영향 (Hematological Changes in Dogs Administrated Excessive Amount of Water Celery Concentrated extract)

  • The water celery, Oenanthe javanica DC., is widely distributed in Korea and the other South East Asian countries. From ancient times, the water celery has widely been used for food or medicine. In herbal medicine, the water celery has a medical actions which are defervescence, diuresis, hypotensor, appetizer. Recently, studies on the water celery are briskly being conducted. For example, studies on the morphologic property and classifications of origin of the water celery, studies on the chemical constituents of the Water celery, studies on the bio activities of the water celery which contains flavonoids. However, there is not studies of hematological changes in dogs administrated the water celery until now. Consicontly, this study was conducted to observe the hematological changes in dogs administrated excessive amount of the water celery concentrated extract for a long period. In this studies, all dogs showed significantly decrease of the RBC, PCV, Hb and MCHC, and increase of the WBC, MCV, GSH and reticulocytes, but did not significantly change in the Met-Hb.

과량의 마늘투여로 인한 개의 혈액학적 변화 (Hematological Changes in Dogs Administrated Excessive Garlic-extracts)

  • 마늘은 백합과 식물로서 인류의 식생활에서 중요한 역할을 할 뿐 아니라 최근에는 항암작용을 가진 것으로도 알려져 세계적으로 많은 연구가 수행되고 있다. 그러나 같은 백합과 식물인 양파의 경우 과량 섭취시 개에서 용혈성 빈혈이 유발된다는 것은 잘 알려진 사실이지만 마늘의 경우 이러한 부작용에 관한 보고는 전혀 없는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 체중 25 kg 이상의 성견을 대상으로 마늘 추출액을 투여한 결과 다음과 같은 성적을 얻었다. 총적혈구수(RBC), 헤모글로빈(Hb)함량, 혈구용적(PCV), 평균적혈구용적(MCV), 평균적혈구혈색소농도(MCHC)는 실험기간 중 유의한(P<0.05) 감소경향을 나타내었다. GSH 함량은 6일째 유의한(P<0.01)증가를 나타내었다. 본 실험 성적의 결과 과량의 마늘 투여시에도 양파에서와 동일한 용혈성 빈혈이 발생되는 것으로 생각된다.

MCV 자기구에서의 선방출 (LINE EMISSION FROM THE MAGNETOSPHERE OF MAGNETIC CATACLYSMIC VARIABLES)

  • A magnetic cataclysmic variable has a rotating magnetic white dwarf which accretes matter from its late type companion. Kim & Beuermann (1995) presented a phenomenological model of the accretion from its surrounding structure e.g., a disk into the magnetosphere of the white dwarf, and presented results for the spin modulated X-ray spectrum and light curves. Using this model, we calculate the optical continuum and line emission which result from reprocessing of X-rays in the accretion stream within the magnetosphere. Penning (1985) suggested the observed spin-modulated radial-velocity variations might result from reprocession of X-rays in the disk. We, however, find the radiation can be originated from the magnetosphere accretion stream. We use the same geometrical model to calculate the optical and the X-ray behaviour. The results from the two wavelength bands are internally consistent. We conclude that this approach will increase the diagnostic accuracies of the results.

Acute Variation of Hematological Parameters during 622 km Ultra-Marathon

  • To investigate the effects of strenuous physical exercise on commonly used hematological markers in subjects the intensive long running. Blood samples were obtained from nineteen participants in a 622 km ultra-marathon race before, 300 km and immediately after completion of the 622 km ultra-marathon. Samples were analyzed for total white cell count (WBC) and differential, total red cell count (RBC), hemoglobin, hematocrit, mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), red cell distribution width (RDW), platelets, mean platelets volume (MPV), platelets distribution width (PDW). Significant increases were found in WBC, neutrophil and platelets at 622 km compared to the pre-race. RBC, hemoglobin and hematocrit decreased statistically significantly the race at 300 km and 622 km compared to pre-race. A wide range of hematological perturbations occur during 622 km ultra-marathon running but it was physiological changes within a reference range. The 622 km ultra-marathon is less likely to cause clinically significant hematologic changes in athletes.

Pb acetate의 13주 반복투여가 랫드의 조혈기능, 정소 및 신장에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Repeated Exposure to Pb Acetate on Hematopoietic Function, Testis and Kidney in Male Rats)

  • Male Sprague Dawley rats were exposed to 0, 0.04, 0.2, and 0.8% Pb acetate in drinking water for 13 weeks and fed a commercial diet. Dose-related adverse effects observed at the end of the Pb acetate exposure in the drinking water were as follows: decrease in body weight gain, decrease in hemoglobin, hematocrit(HCT), mean corpuscular volume (MCV) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), increase in serum glucose, decrease in serum testosterone, increase in lead accumulation and $\delta$-ALA release in urine, and decrease in $\delta$-ALAD activities DNA content and histopathlogy (intranuclear inclusion body in kidney proximal tubule cell). Taken together, repeated exposure of lead acetate induced toxicities in hematopoietic system, especially testis and kidney.

  • The physiological responses caused by exposure of high- and low-level lead exhibit different phase. Low-level lead continuous hypertension, but high-level lead can in the development of hypertension. In this study it was tested which difference can be caused as lead levels and, if it can be caused, whether hematological changes are related with the hypertensive effects induced by different levels of lead exposure was tested. Lead intoxication in male SD rats was induced by exposure through drinking water containing 50, 200 and 1000 ppm lead (as lead acetate). The animals of control group was supplied drinking water containing sodium acetate ad libitum. The number of each animal group was 10. Systolic blood pressures were measured in the unanesthetized state by the tail-cuff technique at 0, 3, 7 and 16 weeks. RBC, WBC, MCV, hemoglobin, hematocrit and whole blood viscosity levels were examined.
