Empathic Ability and Communication Ability according to Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(MBTI) Personality Type in Nursing Students (간호대학생의 MBTI 성격유형에 따른 공감능력, 의사소통능력)

  • This study examined the empathic ability and communication ability of nursing students according to Myers-Briggs type indicator(MBTI) personality type. This study was a cross sectional survey and the data was collected from 127 nursing students by means of self-reported questionnaires from October 5 to 30, 2015. The data collected was analyzed on SPSS win 18.0. Fourteen personality types were observed in this study participants. The SF type was the highest with a mean of 3.77 in empathic ability according to 4 functions of MBTI and the NF type was the highest with a mean of 3.81 in communication ability according to 4 functions of MBTI. The SP type and NF type was the highest with a mean of 3.71 in the empathic ability according to the 4 temperaments of MBTI and the NF type was the highest with a mean of 3.81 in the communication ability according to 4 temperaments of MBTI. Significant differences in the communication ability were observed according to 4 functions (F=3.194, p=.026) and 4 temperaments (F=3.004, p=.033) of MBTI. Further study will be needed to identify the effects of a self-understanding program on the empathic ability and communication ability. It is important to understand the nursing students' diversity and reflect it in a school curriculum.

  • 정보통신 기술(ICT)의 발달로 이루어진 4 차 산업혁명으로 '빅데이터'의 시대가 도래하고 있다. 소셜 네트워크 서비스(SNS), 사물인터넷(IOT), 인공지능(AI) 등 다양한 장소에서 다양한 형태로 데이터들이 쌓이고 있다. 그중 MBTI 성격유형 검사를 통한 다양한 분석 시스템이 많아지고 있다. 사람들은 재미를 위해 자신의 성향을 입력하고 정해진 MBTI 검사 기준을 통해 결과를 받는다. 이러한 개개인의 성향 데이터를 모으면 거대한 빅데이터 플랫폼을 만들 수 있을 것이라 기대한다. 이에 본 논문은 구체적인 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • In this study, MBTI personality type test was conducted for high school students in engineering, and then programming class was conducted to analyze students' learning attitudes. To do this, we designed learning based on creative problem solving model and integrated thinking model. Students classify I (introvert) type and O (extrovert) type as a primary and T (thinking type) and P (cognitive type) as secondary. As a result of this study, learning motivation factors according to personality type were found. Therefore, in future research, we want to study the change of learning method according to learner personality type.

  • This study is to verify between Juvenile delinquents and normal juvenile groups using MBTI personality types. This study aims to know personality types on the juvenile delinquents and apply to creative school education administration. The research was performed as below: First, Measuring and descriptive statistical analysis were performed. One hundred and two subjects who were youths disposed of Seoul nambu youth alternative education center. Data were collected from July to October in 2012. Second, Questionaries assessing demographic and MBTI(Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) by Carl Jung were administered. Third, statistical analysis was done by SPSS for Window 12.0. To Verify the reliability of the measures and correlations between questionnaire items, and to find out the difference of the specific personality types, were used frequency analysis and Pearson Chi-Square. The results of this is significant personality types of juvenile delinquents are 'E', 'P', and 'SP'.

  • 이 연구는 사람의 외적인 요소와 마이어스-브릭스가 제안한 16 가지 성격유형을 결부한 연구이다. 기존의 성격유형에 대한 기준을 기반으로 하여, 일반적인 MBTI 판독기와는 다르게 StyleCLIP 을 활용해서 추상적인 단어로 이미지를 변환하고 전이학습 AI 를 이용하여 비교 테스트를 진행한다. 최종적으로 이 연구를 통해 외모와 성격은 연관이 있다는 가설을 증명한다.

  • This study examined the relationship between the MBTI character types and heart rate variability. The subjects were 25 students in the department of emergency medical technology in C city, Chungnam, Korea. The heart rate variability was measured under two conditions: a stable state, and in the second week and fourth week in clinical practice. The period of the heart rate variability measurements was from Jun. 21, 2013 to Jul. 26, 2013.The changes in the HRV at the stable state and during clinical practice depending on the MBTI character types, and the HRV at the stable state and during clinical practice according to the distribution chart of four character types showed a significant difference in the nHF and standard deviation of all R-R intervals (SDNN). In the changes in the HRV at the stable state and during clinical practice depending on the preference distribution chart of each indicator, the T-F group and J-P group in the nLF, T-F group and J-P group in the nHF, S-N group in the standard deviation of all R-R intervals (SDNN) and the J-P group in the mHR showed a significant difference.

An Effect of Personality Type on Cognitive, Behavioral Investment Disposition (성격유형이 인지·행동적 투자성향에 미치는 영향)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the association between MBTI personality types of potential investors and their cognitive behavioral investment disposition. Three questionnaires related with MBTI, cognitive investment disposition, and behavioral one from 400 subjects were collected and analyzed. Based on both cognitive and behavioral investment disposition scores, potential investors having E(Extroversion), S(Sensing), and F(Feeling) types tend to put up with the risk resulting from their investment better than ones who having I(Introversion), N(Intuition), and T(Thinking) types. However, the difference between J(Judging) and P(Perceiving) types was not significant. Also investor group with ENF combination had the most aggressive investment disposition among other groups. On the contrary the group with ISF had an tendency to avoid the investment risk. In addition the correlation between cognitive and behavioral investment dispositions was 0.86. This study is expected to be used as basic data with which investment companies and banks recommend adequate financial instruments to consumers.

  • This study examined the relationship among early childhood educator's MBTI personal tendencies, creativity, and teaching efficacy. 120 kindergarten teachers and 155 day care teachers participated in this study. Several survey questionnaires were used for this study, such as, teaching efficacy scale, MBTI personality tendencies, and a creativity test. The collected data was analyzed with the SPSS program(version 18.0). The findings of this study were as follows: First, there were some differences between an early childhood educator's MBTI personal tendencies and creativity. Secondly, there was a positive correlation among early childhood educator's MBTI personal tendencies, creativity, and teaching efficacy.

A Study on the Relational Analysis between GEOPIA and MBTI Preference Index (한국형도형심리검사 GEOPIA와 MBTI 선호지표간 관계연구)

  • The aim of this study was to provide fundamental information on the validity and credibility of the Korean geometric psychological assessment (GEOPIA) by investigating the degree of relation between the GEOPIA and the MBTI. Data was collected from 331 subjects aged 19 to 70, residing in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, Jeolla Province, or Gyeongsang Province. Participants completed the GEOPIA and the MBTI during the period of May to September 2017. The study calculated Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ to verify the tests' validity and reliability through SPSS. For the relational analysis between the results of the tests, we conducted a one-way analysis of variance on the first group of the GEOPIA's personality types, and the Scheffe Test if significant relationship was found. The study found that the circle type was predisposed to ESFJ, the triangle type to ESTJ, the rectangle type to ISTJ, and S type to INFP. Higher scores of feeling (F) and perceiving (P) corresponded to circle and S types, thinking (T) and judging (J) for triangle and rectangle types, extroversion (E) for circle and triangle types, and introversion (I) for rectangle and S types. These confirmed the substantial relations between the GEOPIA and the MBTI.

Clothing Involvement and Clothing Information Source on Personality Types (MBTI 성격유형에 따른 의복관여와 의복정보원)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate clothing involvement and clothing information source on personality types. Personality types were applied using Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(MBTI). Clothing involvement was measured using 17 questions of 5-point scales. Clothing information source was measured using 16 items of 5-point scales. The data were collected from 275 female using questionnaire. The data analysed with frequence, factor analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan test. The clothing involvement included three factors: Symbolic Expression, Pleasure and Interest, and Fashionability. The clothing information source included four factors: Printed Media, Radio Media, Professional Media and Store Search. Extroversion-introvertion and thinking-feeling index had significant difference in the dimensions of clothing involvement. Extroversion types were significantly evaluated fashionability more than introvertion types(t=2.008, p<.05). Feeling types were significantly evaluated fashionability more than thinking types (t=2.428, p<.05). Extroversion-introvertion index had significant difference in clothing information source. Extroversion types were significantly used printed media more than Introvertion types.
