The recognition of the environment and its importance have generated various types of parks, such as the ecological put the environmental put and the natural academy. They are considered the connecting media for the creation of space as a new paradigm in design for the 21st century from the late 1990s, environmental designs in space planning have been created from various angles of Perspectives including restoration of the natural ecosystem and introduction of natural circulation systems. Based on the aye facts and through theoretical examination of environmental park models, this research (1) establishes the concept and the significance of environmental parte; and, based on this, classifies the types of industrial sublimity; (2) presents environmental designing principles and standards; and (3) presents the "Chung Ra pro-Environmental Park plan" based on these ideas. The following is the summary of research results: First, while existing city parks are human-oriented, interior-oriented, and shape-centered, an environmental park considers human and nature equally and gives great importance to the relationship between the internal and external of the subject. It is a mark of environmental education that considers the natural ecosystem. Therefore, the environmental park is the 21st Century′s type of an open park for creating new forms of nature, as well as for incorporating culture and values through education. In such an environmental system, nature, culture, and human beings pursue balance, harmony, and security through mutual recognition. Second, in a broad sense, the types of environmental park can be classified into Cultural Restoration, Ecological Conservation, and Environmental Replacement. Third, by selecting Chung na environmental park in Incheon, which is a filtration plant lot, as a research subject, I have presented alternative planning for environmental parte in which culture and nature coexist on the basis of environmental planning principles and standards.
With trend of container ships becoming larger and faster, the environment surrounding ports in North-East Asia is rapidly changing. Korea's largest port of Busan processed more than 10 million 20- feet equivalent containers in 2003, surpassing the 10-million TEU mark for the first time in its three decades of operation. However, the Port of Busan , the world's third-largest port in 2002, was eclipsed by Shanghai since July in 2003. The first massive strike of truckers crippled the Korea's logistics system in May and in September, the Port of Busan suffered from the second strike of truckers and damage by a powerful typhoon. By contrast, the port of Shenzhen in China increased its container-processing volume by 39.9 percent to 10.65 million TEU in 2003, and Shanghai, which passed Busan in terms of container volume in the middle of last year, further consolidated its position as the world's No. 3 port with an annual volume of 11.28 million TEU. After all, Busan recorded an annual container volume of 10.40 million TEU, slipping to fifth in rankings in 2003 and Busan's bid to become a Northeast Asian hub has suffered a further setback as these chinese ports overtook the port of Busan. But the port of Busan is located in the main trunk liking North America, Europe and South-East Asia. Once the project of Busan Newport is accomplished and the railway between South and North Korea is connected to TCR and TSR, the Port of Busan will have the most potential to become the international logistics center as the starting point of the land and sea routes encompassing all over the world.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify the subtypes of idiopathic osteoarthritis of the tarsometatarsal joints based on accompanying hindfoot, midfoot, or foot deformities and their corresponding surgical options and also to evaluate the overall clinical results. Materials and Methods: The study included 59 patients (67 feet) with idiopathic tarsometatarsal joint osteoarthritis. Tarsometatarsal fusion was performed for tarsometatarsal joint and accompanied secondary change was divided into subtypes and various bony reconstruction was carried out. The patients were evaluated with the AOFAS midfoot score and FFI. The average patient age was 60.2 years with 40.6 months follow-up. Fifty-four feet (80.6%) had been treated with realignment fusion. Twenty-six feet had first and second tarsometatarsal joint fusion, and 20 feet had first tarsometatarsal fusion only. Six subtypes were identified based on associated foot deformities: 1) in-situ without deformities (18%), 2) pes planovalgus (45%), 3) rockerbottom (15%), 4) cavus foot (1%), 5) hallux valgus (12%), and 6) hallux valgus with pes planovalgus or rockerbottom (9%). Plantar-medial closing-wedge resection was used in 10 feet to correct rockerbottom. For pes planovalgus, a medial sliding calcaneal osteotomy was done. Lateral column lengthening with medial sliding calcaneal osteotomy was done for severe pes planovalgus, and triple arthrodesis was done for rigid pes planovalgus. Hallux valgus was corrected with the Lapidus procedure (85.7%). Results: AOFAS midfoot scores improved from preoperative 34.1 points to postoperative 83.9 points (p<0.05). The Foot Function Index postoperatively also showed significant improvement (p<0.05), with a high satisfaction rate (86.6%). There were 29 complications, most commonly sesamoid pain. Conclusion: Idiopathic tarsometatarsal OA feet can be classified into six categories. Pes planovalgus feet should be treated with medial sliding calcaneal osteotomy, lateral column lengthening, or triple arthrodesis in addition to tarsometatarsal joint realignment fusion. Rockerbottom and hallux valgus deformities should also be addressed.

We present preliminary results from a series of observations toward G108.8-00.8, which is one of Planck Cold Clumps and a promising candidate of massive prestellar cores. In the integrated intensity map of SCUBA 850 micron dust continuum emission, highly fragmented structures appear. These are distributed along one long filamentary structure seen in the CO 1-0 and 13CO 1-0 integrated intensity maps obtained with the PMO 13.7 m telescope. The northern part of the filament is divided into two parts, as seen in the CO 2-1, 13CO 2-1, and C18O 2-1 integrated intensity maps obtained with the CSO 10 m telescope. The observations of HCO+ 1-0, N2H+ 1-0, and HCN 1-0 with the IRAM 30 m telescope focus on the northern part of the CSO maps, which show a head-tail structure. NH3 (1,1) also shows similar distribution with IRAM maps. The depletion factors, derived by the comparison between the dust continuum and C18O 2-1 emission, varies from 1.5 to 6 over the region, suggesting different evolutionary status of each component. To study the chemical and physical environments of G108.8-00.8, more detailed analysis is in progress.
Riboflavin synthase from Escherichia coli is a homotrimer of 23.4 kDa subunits and catalyzes the formation of one molecule each of riboflavin and 5-amino-6-ribitylamino- 2,4(1H,3H)-pyrimidinedione by the transfer of a 4-carbon moiety between two molecules of the substrate, 6,7- dimethyl-8-ribityllumazine. Each subunit comprises two closely similar folding domains. Recombinant expression of the N-terminal domain is known to provide a $C_2$-symmetric homodimer. In this study, the binding properties of wild type as well as two mutated proteins of N-terminal domain of riboflavin synthase with various ligands were tested. The replacement of the amino acid residue A43, located in the second shell of riboflavin synthase active center, in the recombinant N-terminal domain dimer reduces the affinity for 6,7-dimethyl-8-ribityllumazine. The mutation of the amino acid residue C48 forming part of activity cavity of the enzyme causes significant $^{19}F$ NMR chemical shift modulation of trifluoromethyl derivatives of 6,7-dimethyl-8-ribityllumazine in complex with the protein, while substitution of A43 results in smaller chemical shift changes.

Fatigue tests by axial loading (R=0.1) were carried out to investigate fatigue crack growth properties of small surface cracks in mild steel at room temperature, 250.deg. C and 400.deg. C, by using flat specimens with a small artificial pit. All the data of the fatigue crack growth rate obtained in the present tests are determined as a function of the stress intensity factor range, so that the applicability of liner fracture mechanics to the fatigue crack growth of surface cracks at elevated temperatures is investigated and discussed in comparison with the data of type 304 stainless steel at room temperature and elevated temperature. The obtained results are as follows: 1) Relations of both surface fatigue crack length and its depth to cycle ratio fall within a narrow scatter band in spite of different stress levels. 2) The .DELTA. .sigma. .root. .pi. a-da/dN relation of surface fatigue crack growth at room temperature is independent of the stress level and can be plotted as a straight line at log-log diagram, but the relation at 400.deg. C depends partly on the stress level. 3) Relations of the fatigue crack growth into depth d(2b)/dN and is stress intensity factor range .DELTA. $K_{I}$, accounted for the aspect ratio variation, fall within a narrow scatter band for wide range of the applied stress levels. And .DELTA. $K_{I}$E-d(2b)/dN relations of mild steel at different stress level coincide relatively well with the data of type 304 stainless steel. 4) The value of aspect ratio obtained by a beach mark method and a temper coloring method approaches about 0.9 in common with crack growth and it is independent of stress level and temperatures. 5) The equi-crack length curve is parallel to S-N$_{f}$ curve at elevated temperatures.s.s.s.
This study has been performed to investigate some effects of the power density and traverse speed of laser beam on the optical microstructure, hardness and fatigue resistance of gray cast iron treated by laser surface hardening technique. Optical micrograph has shown that the dissolution of graphite flakes and the coarsening of lath martensite tend to increase with a small amount of retained austenite as the power density increases under the condition of a given traverse speed. Hardness measurements have revealed that as the power density increases, hardness values of outermost surface layer increases from Hv=620 to Hv=647 in case of traverse speed of 2.0m/min at gray cast iron. Fatigue test has exhibited that the fatigue strength of laser surface hardened specimen is superier compared to that of untreated specimen, showing that values for the fatigue strength at $N_f=10^7$ of gray cast iron laser-surface-hardened at a low power density of $4076w/cm^2$ and a high power density of $8153w/cm^2$ under the condition of a given traverse speed of 2.0m/min are $15kg_f/mm^2$ and $20kg_f/mm^2$, respectively, whereas the fatigue strength of untreated specimen is $11kg_f/mm^2$. Under high stress-low cycle condition a noraml brittleness fracture appears, whereas a ductile fracture with beach mark is observed in the specimen tested under low stress-high cycle condition.
In the ubiquitous healthcare, automated diagnosis is commonly achieved by an agent system to provide intelligent decision support and fast diagnosis result. Mobile agent technology is used for efficient load distribution by migrating processes to a less loaded node which is considered in our design of a ubiquitous healthcare system. This paper presents a framework for ubiquitous healthcare technologies which mainly focuses on mobile agents that serve the on-demand processes of an automated diagnosis support system. Considering the efficient utilization of resources, a balanced clustering for the load distribution of processes within nodes is proposed. The proposed algorithm selects overloaded nodes to migrate processes to near nodes until the load variance of the system is minimized. Our proposed balanced clustering efficiently distributes processes to all nodes considering message overheads by performing the migration to the near nodes.
Wireless sensor networks are used by various application areas to implement smart data processing and ubiquitous system. In the recent research of parking management system based on wireless sensor networks, adaptive sensing and efficient data processing are not considered. The effectiveness of implementing these distributed computing devices affects the performance of the applications in parking management. This paper proposes an adaptive sensing using fuzzy wireless sensor for the ubiquitous networks of parking management system. The fuzzy inference system is encoded in the sensor for efficient car presence detection. Moreover, a rule base adaptive module is proposed which wirelessly transmit the new values to each sensor for adapting the environment of car park area. The result of experiments shows that the fuzzy wireless sensor provides more throughputs and less time delays compared to a normal method of data gathering by wireless sensors.

It can be classified in various methods to get the geoidal heights. It can be achieved geometric geoidal heights if we do GPS surveying in leveling point. The aims of this paper are calculation of geometric geoidal heights using GPS/leveling data in study area and evaluation of the global and local geoid models in and around Korean peninsula. For this study, study area was selected in the leveling line from Kunsan to Chonju city and GPS surveying was accomplished in the leveling line. And, also spherical harmonic analysis was made on the three global geopotential models, OSU91A, EGM96, EGM96m under same condition. Then the differences were calculated between geometric geoidal heights and geoidal heights of 3 geopotential models, KOGD2002 which was Korean gravimetric geoid model. The results shows that EGM96m is the best model because the differences between geoidal heights of E6M96m and geometric geoidal heights of GPS/Leveling data appear the smallest value among them.
