피스톤 형상이 유압 피스톤 펌프에 미치는 영향

  • 고압하에서 고속으로 작동하는 유압 피스톤 펌프(hydraulic piston pump) 또는 모터(motor) 등의 유압기계(hydrostatic machine)에서 피스톤과 실린더 사이의 간극(clearance)을 흐르는 유압유(hydraulic oil)의 유동에 관한 연구는 이러한 유압기계의 피스톤부 설계에서 특히 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 원통형 피스톤이 원통부와 테이퍼가 진 부분으로 나누어져 있는 복합(composite)형상의 피스톤에 대한 이론해석을 수행하여 피스톤의 형상이 유압 피스톤 펌프의 윤활성능에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자 한다.

  • The major cause of compressor failure is the decrease of oil viscosity due to floodback. In most previous researches on the compressor reliability, the relationship between oil circulation rate and performance or oil viscosity has been studied. Another research topic is flow visualization by using a sight glass on the bottom of a compressor sump area and accumulator. Both oil film thickness and oil level through the sight glass should be assessed for compressor reliability if the oil content of the mixture is small and low viscosity raise poor lubrication of pump bearing. In this study, the compressor reliability was assessed by measuring the viscosity of the mixture and calculating oil film thickness. The analysis of the relationship between bottom shell super heat and oil film thickness at heating operation was peformed. It is concluded that bottom shell superheat does not perfectly stand for the mixture's behavior for a low ambient heating operation and oil film thickness can give more detailed and direct criteria for compressor reliability.

압축기 습동부 윤활 특성 향상을 위한 나노유체 특성(열전도도, 분산성, 점도변화, 마찰거동) (Characteristics of Nano-Fluid Improvement of Lubrication for Compressor Friction Parts)

  • The performance of refrigerant oil at the thrust bearing and at the journal bearing of a scroll compressor is a significant factor. This paper presents the friction and anti-wear characteristics of nano-fluid with a mixture of a refrigerant oil and nano powders. The particle size distribution and oxidation stability of nano powders prepared by the electrical explosion method were analyzed by TEM and BET. It was found that the nanoparticles showed a spherical morphology with sizes ranging of 40-60 nm and were covered with graphite layers of 2-4 nm. The thermal conductivity of POE oil was 0.1-0.5W/mk higher than that of POE oil. The coefficient of friction of Cu-POE was found to be 0.1 higher than that of Al2O3. The cooling capacity of the heat pump with nanofluid increased to 3.67%, and the performance was improved by 5.83%.

사판식 액시얼 피스톤 펌프 가변용량 시스템의 윤활특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Lubrication Characteristics of a Compensator System for Swash Plate Type Axial Piston Pump)

  • 본 연구에서는 가변용량형 사판식 액시얼 피스톤 펌프의 가변용량 시스템에 있어서 actuator piston의 가공정도와 실린더사이의 간극의 변화에 따른 응답성 및 누설용량에 끼치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 가변용량형 사판식 액시얼 피스톤 펌프는 사판의 각도를 조절함으로써 유량을 조절하게 된다. 사판의 각도조절은 actuator piston에 의해 행해지며, 가변용량부의 어느 설정압력에 도달하면, 이 actuator piston이 사판을 밀어 사판의 각도를 변화 시키게 된다. 지배방정식으로는 spool과 사판의 운동방정식과 각 chamber의 누설 유량이 있다. 이들 방정식을 \ulcorner으로써 각 부분의 운동을 해석할 수 있게 된다. 여기에서 해석이 어려운 부분은 각 계수들의 결정이며 simulation을 할 때는 이로한 계수들을 이론적으로 결정을 하게 되고, 실험을 통해 검증하도록 한다. 즉, 각 운동뷰의 감쇠계수와 각 오리피스를 통한 유량계수, 그리고 감쇠계수 등은 실험을 통해 검토한다. 실험을 통한 측정에서는 각 chamber의 압력은 각 chamber에 연결된 압력센서 3개에 의해 행해지며, 사판의 각도는 angle 센서에 의해 측정하게 된다. 그리고 actuator piston과 블럭 사이의 간극을 조절하여 누설계수를 변화시키며, 그 영향을 살펴보았다.

  • A gerotor is suitable for miniature manufacturing because it has high discharge per 1 cycle and a simple structure, while also being widely used for lubrication oil of engines and as a hydraulic source of automatic transmission. In the automobile industry, improvements in fuel efficiency and noise reduction have recently come to the fore. It has also been necessary to continuously improve the flow rate and noise of internal gear pumps for better fuel efficiency through optimal gerotor and port shape design. In this study, to develop an optimal gerotor with a new lobe shape, 2-ellipses-combined, the equation of the lobe shape was derived, and CFD analysis results were compared for 2-ellipses with those of the previous gerotors (3-ellipses and ellipse1-involuteellipse2). A performance test for the oil pump with the optimal rotor (2-ellipses) was carried out and showed good agreement with the results obtained from CFD analysis.

  • The industrial revolution in England was based on the manufacturing systems by the power of water mill and rapidly progressed by the innovation of steam engine. It is no exaggeration to say that today's civilization is realized by the development of various types of power machinery, namely fluid machinery and heat engine. The electric energy is converted mainly from thermal energy (mainly steam) of mineral oil, coal and nuclear fuel through generator connected with steam turbine which is a kind of power machinery. There are various types of power machinery as shown in Tables 1a and 1b. They are classified into two types by use. One is absorption type of fluid and/or thermal energy, for examples, windmill and heat engine. The other is provision type of the energies for examples, pump, compressor and propulsion. By flow type, they are also classified by two types, turbo type and positive-displacement type. The turbo type began from water mill and windmill and evolve to steam turbine and finally to gas turbine. The positive-displacement type started from reciprocating water pump and developed into steam engine and changed to reciprocating combustion engine. The pumps and motors used in oil hydraulic system for power control are also positive-displacement type.

In the automobile industry, it has been necessary to continuously improve the flow rate and noise of internal gear pumps for better fuel efficiency through optimal gerotor design. In this study, to obtain an optimal gerotor with an ellipse-elliptical involute-ellipse combined lobe shape, an automatic program was developed for calculating performance parameters and drawing a gerotor profile. An oil pump was assembled with the optimal gerotor together with the port used at the actual field and CFD analysis was performed on this assembly using Ansys-CFX. A performance test for the oil pump was carried out and showed good agreement with the results obtained from the theoretical analysis and the CFD analysis.

  • The 3-phase induction is used for the MCP(main coolant pump) and the pure water is used for lubrication of bearing because of the difficulty of repair. Therefore the type of motor is the canned-motor that is welded by sealed can to prevent the stator and rotor from the lubricating water. A lot of Eddy currents are produced in the can because of the conductivity of material. And these eddy currents in the can are the most important cause that decrease the efficiency of induction motor. Therefore we have to find the method to decrease these eddy currents in the can for the improvement of efficiency of motor. In this paper, we proposed the method of design and analysis of canned-motor using equivalent circuit with consideration of can loss for the improvement of efficiency of motor.

  • Automatic power transmission systems consisted of a torque converter and several planetary gear sets, clutches and brakes are controlled by a hydraulic shift control circuit and an electronic transmission control unit. The hydraulic circuit serves for the operation of the torque converter and lubrication oil supply of the transmission system as well as for the actuation of clutches for the automatic gear shift. The complicated hydraulic control circuit constructed by many spools, solenoids, orifices and flow passages are integrated into one small valve block and it is powered by one hydraulic pump. In this paper, a test equipment was developed to measure the oil consumption of each component at various wide operating conditions. Test data about 730 sets acquired from five test items are analyzed and discussed on the oil capacity of the circuit.

  • In case of bent axis type axial piston hydraulic pump or motor, hydrostatic bearing used to achieve the lubrication effect on the mechanical sliding contact areas between the following pairs ; piston shoe and swash plate, valve plate and cylinder block, piston and cylinder block, etc. In this research, we designed two pairs of spherical ball joint in witch connecting rod piston end. The one is not hydrostatic bearing, the other is designed with spherical hydrostatic bearing in point of view minimum pumping power loss. By varying supply pressure on the piston, we can know that it is possible to reduce the friction torque by using hydrostatic bearing designed one. Finally, by comparing the results of driving torque between the two models, it was verified that the spherical hydrostatic bearing is well designed.
