The purpose of this study is to identify the nature and trend of multinational corporations and to examine strategies for survival of local companies in newly-rising markets which stand against huge multinational corporations, through case study. This research has been done by the literature review of the articles, books and the case study. The results were as follow : First, if the pressure for the globalization of a industry is low and the possibility of overseas transfer of the competitive property of corporations are bare, the intensive strategy for the protection of a national market can be used against the invasion of a multinational corporations. Second, if the pressure for the globalization is still low and the retaining property can be transferred to abroad, a company can be expended to several foreign markets in the limited scope, using the success in a national market as a stepping-stone. Third, In case the pressure for the globalization is high and the competitive property of corporations are effective only in a national market, corporations can survive individually and continuously through the reorganization of corporation's property, which is the survival strategy against multinational corporations. Forth, if the pressure for the globalization is high and the property of corporations can be transferred to abroad, it is possible for corporations to compete with the multinational corporations confidently.

Conventional evaluation method for identifying the organic cause of short stature has a low detection rate. If an infant who is small for gestational age manifests postnatal growth deterioration, triangular face, relative macrocephaly, and protruding forehead, a genetic testing of IGF2, H19, GRB10, MEST, CDKN1, CUL7, OBSL1, and CCDC9 should be considered to determine the presence of Silver-Russell syndrome and 3-M syndrome. If a short patient with prenatal growth failure also exhibits postnatal growth failure, microcephaly, low IGF-1 levels, sensorineural deafness, or impaired intellectual development, genetic testing of IGF1 and IGFALS should be conducted. Furthermore, genetic testing of GH1, GHRHR, HESX1, SOX3, PROP1, POU1F1, and LHX3 should be considered if patients with isolated growth hormone deficiency have short stature below -3 standard deviation score, barely detectable serum growth hormone concentration, and other deficiencies of anterior pituitary hormone. In short patients with height SDS <-3 and high growth hormone levels, genetic testing should be considered to identify GHR mutations. Lastly, when severe short patients (height z score <-3) exhibit high levels of prolactin and recurrent pulmonary infection, genetic testing should be conducted to identify STAT5B mutations.

In this paper, design and implementation of frequency down converter based on LC filter technic. Single frequency down converter, designed a low-noise amplifier, mixer, IF amplifier, LC filter was configured. And it is composed of DC block capacitors and RF bypass capacitor. LC filter, replace it with the IC reduced the power and realized low cost. The gain of single down converter is about 10dBm and realized by 18MHz bandwidth at 70MHz band.

Sequential pattern mining has become an essential task with broad applications. Most sequential pattern mining algorithms use a minimum support threshold to prune the combinatorial search space. This strategy provides basic pruning; however, it cannot mine correlated sequential patterns with similar support and/or weight levels. If the minimum support is low, many spurious patterns having items with different support levels are found; if the minimum support is high, meaningful sequential patterns with low support levels may be missed. We present a new algorithm, weighted interesting sequential (WIS) pattern mining based on a pattern growth method in which new measures, sequential s-confidence and w-confidence, are suggested. Using these measures, weighted interesting sequential patterns with similar levels of support and/or weight are mined. The WIS algorithm gives a balance between the measures of support and weight, and considers correlation between items within sequential patterns. A performance analysis shows that WIS is efficient and scalable in weighted sequential pattern mining.

The Charpy V impact test on subsize was performed on narrow laser welds of low carbon steel sheets, joined by using a continuous wave 3kW CO$_2$ laser. Under certain conditions, a bimodal fracture behaviour has been experienced in Charpy V impact test of narrow laser beam welds. Deviation of the fracture path from the fusion zone into the base metal was dominated at high test temperature. It can be seen that the deviation always occurred after ductile initiation. If the deviation occurs on a small testing specimen, the same trend would happen on the actual laser welded structure. Fracture will then propagate through the base material even if the weld metal has low toughness.

Effects of a change in dietary Ca content and an alteration in dietary lipid type on lipid metabolism have been investigated in male Sprague-Dawley rats. The results obtained were summarized as follows ; 1) There was no comparable changes in food consumption and body weight gain among all 9 groups. 2) Serum total lipids and cholesterol were lowest when high Ca-corn all diet was fed, and highest when low Ca-butter diet was fed. 3) The contents of total lipids and cholesterol per g liver and total liver showed no consistent tendency with the dietary treatment. 4) Addition of Ca to the diet caused the significant increase in the dry fecal matter and fecal Ca. And fecal total lipids and fecal cholesterol were much greater if the high-Ca diet was fed than if control and low-Ca diet were fed. It is concluded that Ca and polyunsaturated acids have tendency of hypocholesterolemic effect.

This paper describes an adaptive signal processing of digital receiver with DDC(Digital Down Convertor), DDC is implemented by using NCO(Numerically Controlled Oscillator), digital low pass filter. for the passband sampling, we present the results of digital receiver simulation with DDC. We confirm that the low IP signal is converted to zero IF by DDC. DOA(Direction Of Arrival) estimation technique using MUSIC(Multiple SIgnal Classification) algorithm with high resolution is presented. We Cow that an accurate resolution of DOA depends on the input sampling number.

Mobile network applications are growing and this requires a fast and efficient transport method between the BS(Base Station) and the MSC(Mobile Switching Center). One possible solution is to use ATM and a voice CODEC standard which compresses 64kbps voice data to less than 8kbps. The low bit tate and small-sized packets made by the voice CODEC imply that significant amount of link bandwidth would be wasted, if this small-sized packet is carried by one ATM cell. The cell assembly delay increases if one ATM cell is fully filled with the small-sized packets. For the bandwidth-efficient transmission of low-rate, short, and variable length packets in delay sensitive applications, AAL-2 was standardized. This paper evaluates performance of AAL-2 by using voice CODEC standard.

The paper analyzes a copyright owning firm's incentive to enforce its copyright in the presence of file-sharing networks. I devise a two-period model where a copyright owner sells two different versions of a creator's information good, and show that the firm's overall profits are enhanced by a strategy of differential inter-temporal enforcement of the copyright protection, compared to strategies of no enforcement or full enforcement in both periods. If the firm enforces no copyright protection in the first period, the low-valuation consumers may make and consume copies that are imperfect substitutes for the original information good. If there is a significant increase in the willingness-to-pay of some low-valuation consumers after they experience the information good, the firm can extract the increased consumer surplus by enforcing a positive level of copyright protection in the second period. Social welfare, however, is maximized in the case of no enforcement.

A low cost batch type solar heaters (capacity 200 litres) comprising horizontal tanks, which performs the dual function of absorbing heat and storing the heated water, have been designed and fabricated for the purpose of side-by-side testing. Experimental results have indicated that the sufficient hot water can be obtained in the early morning if the glazing is aided by a reflector/insulation cover. The water heater with best thermal performance such as type B supplied water at a maximum mean temperature of $46-49^{\circ}C$ in the summer afternoon and the temperature of $36-39^{\circ}C$ can be obtained in the early morning if insulation cover is used during night time. The equation has been developed for the prediction of hourly variation of the water temperature in the tank.
