  • This paper describes a system which enables a fast 3-dimensional measuring of a human head using a slit-ray projection method . One feature of our system is that almost all calculations are executed using a look-up table, so that, forty thousands of sample point scan be processed in a few seconds. The feasibility of our system for practical applications is demonstrated measuring a human head.

  • In order to develop an efficient algorithm for S-to-M mapping in CMCA, characteristics of CMCA mappings is studied and conceptual mapping procedure is physically described. Then, careful observations on the mapping procedure and experience reveal a simple algorithm of the S-to-M mapping. The algorithm is described and compared with other procedures for S-to-M mapping. It is found very efficient in terms of computational operations and processing time.

  • 전력 증폭기의 3차나 5차 비선형성은 인접 통신 채널에 직접적인 영향을 미치므로 선형화 기법을 이용하여 출력단의 혼변조 신호를 감쇄시켜야 한다. 본 논문에서는 전력 증폭기의 입력 신호를 기저대역에서 왜곡시켜 전력 증폭기를 선형화 시키는 디지털 사전 왜곡기를 구현하였다. 측정에 앞서, 모의실험을 통하여 시스템 변수에 따른 선형화기의 성능을 예측하고, 1차원 참조표(look-up table)를 사용한 사전 왜곡기의 측정 결과, 약 9 dB의 ACPR 개선 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • Control convergence of Horizontal-Moving stereoscopic camera is demonstrated with object distance. To acquire object distance calculated vergence angle is needed. Compare calculated vergence angle with look up table, processing time of auto control is reduce.

  • The fuzzy logic controller was used effectively for the controlling of unmeasured parameter and inaccurate mathematical modeling was designed. In this paper, we proposed that the method of reducing the vibration at the target point on calculating the membership degree about input value without a look-up table was proposed. And its effectiveness in the inverted pendulum was acquired.

The Minimum PAPR Code for OFDM Systems

  • In this letter, a block code that minimizes the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals is proposed. It is shown that peak envelope power is invariant to cyclic shift and codeword inversion. The systematic encoding rule for the proposed code is composed of searching for a seed codeword, shifting the register elements, and determining codeword inversion. This eliminates the look-up table for one-to-one correspondence between the source and the coded data. Computer simulation confirms that OFDM systems with the proposed code always have the minimum PAPR.

  • In order to eliminate position errors existing at the steady state in the motion control of robotic maniprlators, a new fuzzy control algorithm is proposed using three variables, position error, velocity error and integral of position errors as input variables of the fuzzy controller, This controller is applied to the tracking control of robotic manipulators in Cartesian space. Three dimensional look-up table is used to reduce the computational time in rel-time control. Simulation and experimental studies are conducted to evaluate the control performance for the two axis direct drive SCARA robot system.

  • In this paper, we designed the speed controller with high accuracy and speedy steady-state response, in Induction motor control system, Fuzzy P-1 controller of Induction motor using Microprocessor have an appropriate fuzzy rule matrix (which is 2-separate Look-up Table) The usefulness of proposed fuzzy P-1 controller will be confirmed by experiments which we compare with conventional P-1 controller.

  • 본 논문에서는 영상의 인증과 무결성을 위한 새로운 블록 연성 워터마킹을 제안한다. 원 영상의 인증과 무결성을 확인하기 위하여 이진로고 영상을 워터마크로 사용한다. 원 영상의 각 픽셀의 정보뿐만 아니라 해당 블록의 정보로 binary look-up table을 선택하여 워터마크 비츠를 삽입한다. 기존 방식의 문제점으로 제시된 공격[6,7]을 효율적으로 막으면서도 시각적으로 변조유무 및 픽셀단위 또는 블록단위로 변조위치를 감지할 수 있음을 보인다.

  • In this paper, we propose a simple scaling algorithm for CDMA mobile communications where a voice traffic signals are transmitted by individual one of several data rates at every frames. The traditional method is based on using look-up table called SMT(symbol metric table), but the proposed algorithm is real-time direct scaling method through simple bit manipulations without lookup table. The bit error rate performance is calculated by computer simulation over AWGN and Rayleigh fading channels. From the results, it is shown that the proposed algorithm outperforms the traditional SMT method on Rayleigh channel by 0.3∼0.8dB, while achieving the less H/W complexity.
