촉매성 산화물 전극 (DSA, Dimensionally Stable Anode)의 가속수명 테스트 방법과 장치에 관한 기초 연구 (A Basic Study on Accelerated Life Test Method and Device of DSA (Dimensionally Stable Anode) Electrode)

  • The lifetime of the electrode is one of the most important factors on the stability of the electrode. Since the lifetime of the DSA (Dimensionally stable anode) electrode is long, an accelerated lifetime test is required to reduce the test time. Beacuse there is no basis or standard method for accelerated lifetime testing, many researchers use different methods. Therefore, there is a need for basis and methods for accelerated lifetime testing that other researchers can follow. We designed a reactor system for accelerated lifetime testing and planned specific methods. Reactor system was circulating batch reactor. Reactor volume and cooling water tank were 12.5 L and 100 L, respectively. Electrode size was $2cm{\times}3cm$ (real electrolysis area, $5cm^2$). In order to maintain the harsh conditions, accelerated lifetime test was carried out in a high current density ($0.6A/cm^2$) and low electrolyte concentration (NaCl, 0.068 mol/L). Maintaining a constant temperature was an important operation parameter for exact accelerated lifetime test. As the accelerated lifetime test progressed, the active component of electrode surface was consumed and desorption occurred. At the point of 5 V rise, corrosion of the surface of the base material(titanium) also started.

리튬 2차 전지의 저장 수명에 관한 연구 (A Study of Shelf Life about Li-ion Battery)

  • 국방 분야에서 유도무기와 같은 일회성 무기체계는 제작 후 오랜 기간 보관되어지기 때문에 수명 예측이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 유도무기에 사용되는 리튬 2차 전지에 대해 수명을 확인하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 연구를 위해 5년 이상 무기체계에 탑재되어 사용된 리튬 2차 전지를 확보하였으며, 비기능 검사를 수행하여 외적인 변화나 고장이 발생하였는지 확인하였다. 비기능 검사가 끝난 후 리튬 2차 전지의 성능 측정을 위한 방전 시험을 실시하였으며, 방전 시험 시 전지를 규격에 맞추어 충전한 후 방전 시험을 실시하였다. 방전 시험을 통해 초기 충전 전압, 방전 시간, 전지 온도 등을 측정하였으며, 이를 기존에 측정된 데이터와 비교하여 성능 변화 경향을 확인하였다. F-검정과 일원분산분석(One-way ANOVA, Analysis of Variance), 회귀 분석을 통해 노화가 발생하였는지 확인하였으며, 회귀 분석을 통해 측정된 근사식을 통해 리튬 전지의 수명을 추정하였다. 분산분석 결과 p-value 값이 기준값 0.05보다 작은 것을 알 수 있었으며, 일정 시간이 경과하였을 때에 전지의 성능이 15% 이상 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 성능 변화는 리튬 폴리머 셀의 물성 변화로 인해 일어나는 것으로 추정된다.

배기 브레이크용 솔레노이드 밸브의 특성 해석 (Characteristics Analysis of the Solenoid Valve for Exhaust Brake)

  • An exhaust brake system is composed of a gate valve, a pneumatic cylinder and an on-off solenoid valve. An on-off solenoid valve which is a key component of the exhaust brake system ought to have characteristics such as high reliability and long life for reducing the foot brake and tires damage, and for driver's fatigue relief of middle/large size vehicles running a long distance. In this paper, an on-off solenoid valve which is used for vehicle brake system was studied. For the performance evaluation of the on-off solenoid, electromagnetic characteristics and dynamic characteristics are analyzed. On the basic study for the performance improvement of exhaust brake system, pneumatic circuit and pneumatic valve of on-off solenoid type were suggested and the performance of pneumatic valve through the test procedure was evaluated.

  • In this paper, we introduced Silicon Oxynitride films deposited by Laser CVD, and evaluated the electrical breakdown of these films by TZDB(Time Zero Dielectric Breakdown) and TDDB(Time Dependent Dielectric Breakdown) test. In addition, high frequency C-V test was done in order to calculate hysterisis and flatband voltage(before and after electric field stress). Failure times against eletric field are examined and electric field accelation factor $\beta$ are obtained, and long term reliability was also described by extrapolating into life time in the operating voltage(5V). In this experiments, the deposited films with increased temperature represented small flatband voltage, hysterisis and favorable breakdown characteristics, this is why the hydrogen in the film was decreased and the film was densified, long term reliability was good in the laser CVD SiON films.

장시간 시효처리가 316 스트인리스 강의 고온 기계적 성질에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Long Term Thermal Aging on High Temperature Mechanical Properties in STS316)

  • At elevated temperature, very complex precipitations occur in STS316. To investigate the effect of the precipitation on mechanical properties in SIS316, tensile tests and fatigue crack growth tests were carried out at $650^{\circ}C$ using artificially degraded materials. The material degradation was simulated by aging for up to 20000 hrs. at $750^{\circ}C$, which is equal to 179000hrs (about 20yrs) of service life at $650^{\circ}C$, after conducting solution treatment for 20 min. at $11300^{\circ}C$. The result of the hardness test and the tensile test showed that both properties are closely related to the mean free distance of carbides. Also, from the results of fracture tests at $650^{\circ}C$, ${\triangle}K_{th}$, after values were found to decrease as aging time and microstructure, as the volume fraction of $\sigma$ phase increased.

소변 검체 분석물질의 냉/해동 과정 안정성 평가 연구 (A Study on Stability evaluation in the freezing/thawing process of urine specimen analytes)

  • 소변검사 전 냉/해동 반복과 해동 과정에 따라 대표적인 임상 화학검사 측정값의 변화를 확인함으로써 소변검사의 안정성과 품질 개선방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 조사 대상자는 모두 건강한 남성 10명이었으며 이들의 소변 검체를 이용하여 냉/해동 안정성(freeze and thaw stability) 실험을 진행하였다. Micro-albumin과 Amylase의 경우 시간이 경과 됨에 따라 37℃에서는 통계적 유의성은 없었으나, 42℃와 60℃에서는 시간의 경과에 따른 결과가 통계적으로 유의한 변동이 있었고, BUN, Creatinine, Uric acid와 Glucose에서는 통계적으로 유의한 변동이 있었다. Long term의 안정성 결과, 7일이 지난 후에는 Glucose의 변이는 증가하였고, 60℃에서는 Amylase가 감소하는 양상을 보였다. Glucose와 Amylase의 경우 시간의 경과에 따른 결과가 통계적으로 유의한 변동이 있었다. 신뢰성 있는 검사결과를 얻기 위해서는 소변 시료의 채취, 보관 및 저장 등을 비롯한 요검사의 정확한 표준화가 필요하며 생체 물질별 안정성 확보를 위한 조건들의 체계적 연구가 필요하다.

Fatigue Indicator Sensor의 형상에 따른 균열진전 특성의 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Crack Propagation Characteristics According to the Pre-Notch Shapes of Fatigue Indicator Sensor)

  • It is difficult to predict the accurate fatigue life of the ship structure because of load uncertainty and load redistribution at the ship structure members. As one of studies for accurate evaluation and prediction of fatigue life, it is a promising way to detect the crack previously by attaching the Fatigue Indicator Sensor (FIS) at the crack prediction region. In order to predict the fatigue life of the ship structure by using FIS, it is required to know previously the crack propagation characteristics according to pre-notch shapes. In this study, we obtained the stress distribution phase, stress concentration factors and stress intensity factor of various pre-notch shapes through FEA. Additionally, we conducted the fatigue test and obtained the characteristics of crack propagation according to the pre-notch shapes through comparison between the fatigue test and the FEA. Consequently, we classified the pre-notch shape into 3 categories: Long, Medium, and Short life type. On the basis of the numerical and experimental results, the FIS can be developed.

Comparative Analysis of Anticancer and Antibacterial Activities among Seven Trametes Species

  • Species in the genus Trametes (Basidiomycota, Polyporales) have been used in natural medicine for a long time. Many studies reported that mycelia or fruiting bodies of Trametes spp. exhibited effects of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and antimicrobial activities. However, comparative analysis in this genus is scarce due to limitation of morphological identification and the sample number. In this study, the 19 strains of seven Trametes species were chosen to generate a five-gene-based phylogeny with the 31 global references. In addition, 39 culture extracts were prepared for 13 strains to test for anticancer and antibacterial activities. Strong anticancer activities were found in several extracts from T. hirsuta and T. suaveolens. Anticancer activities of T. suaveolens, T. cf. junipericola and T. trogii were first described here. The antibacterial ability of T. versicolor and T. hirsuta extracts has been confirmed. The antibacterial activities of T. suaveolens have been reported at the first time in this study. These results suggest an efficient application of the genus Trametes as the drug resources especially for anticancer agents.

피로에 따른 PSC거더의 동적특성 변화 (Dynamic characteristic change of a PSC girder due to fatigue)

  • The dynamic characteristics such as resonant frequencies and dampings have been utilized as important parameters in dynamic behavior and inverse analyses. In general, the dynamic parameters have been determined based on design and experimental data, but experimental studies on the time-dependent changes of the dynamic parameters during service have rarely been conducted. Especially, unlike highway bridges, it is much easier for railroad bridges to estimate accumulated amount of fatigue because of the controlled train operation, and the study of dynamic characteristic change due to fatigue is useful, since it can enhance the accuracy of dynamic analysis. In this paper, the dynamic characteristic change due to fatigue is measured via the modal test on the PSC girder during a fatigue test. The test specimen utilized in the test is the IT girder which enhances the sectional capacity of the conventional PSC girders. The test specimen is designed 10m long and the modal tests are conducted during the application of fatigue load two million times. The test result shows that considerable changes in the measured dynamic parameters are observed as the fatigue accumulates, and these changes during the service life should be considered in designing railroad bridges.

건축용 비내력 경량벽체의 정적 수평하중저항성 시험방법의 표준화 (Standardization of Stiffness Test Method of Non-bearing Lightweight Wall for building)

  • The use of non-bearing lightweight wall has increased recently due to the increase of high-rise buildings and supply of long-life housing. Lightweight wall has advantages such as reducing the self-weight of the building, convenience in installation, and shortening construction period, however, must have a sufficient strength to external force. This study standardized the stiffness (static horizontal load resistance) test method for lightweight walls by using the actual impact load obtained through the load analysis test conducted in the previous studies. The size of specimen was set up as height 2.4m and width 3.0m. Test apparatus and test methods were referred to BS 5234-2:1992. However, the loading level applied to the specimen was divided into 3 steps (3000N, 1000N, 500N) that can be applied selectively depending on the purpose of the wall. The deformation characteristics according to the same loading level were vary depending on the specimen's type, and the evaluation criteria for functional damage may vary depending on the material, method of construction, and purpose of wall. Therefore, we did not suggest unified evaluation criteria of the stiffness to the test results.
