세계 물류산업의 효율성에 관한 연구 (An Analysis of the Efficiency of the Global Logistics Industry with Data Envelopment Analysis and a Tobit Model)

  • 세계화를 통해 글로벌 공급사슬은 더욱 복잡해지고, 고객들은 모든 물류서비스를 통합적으로 제공받을 수 있는 기업에 대한 의존도가 높아짐에 따라 고객들은 물류 기업에 대해서 가격뿐만 아니라 운영적인 측면에서 높은 효율성을 요구하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 자료포락분석(Data Envelopment Analysis)을 중심으로 전세계 물류산업의 효율성의 추이와 비효율성에 영향을 미치는 요소들에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면, 5개년간 세계의 물류산업의 효율성은 높아지는 추세를 보이고 있었으며, 비효율성은 규모에 의한 비효율성보다는 순수기술효율성에 의해 나타난 비효율성에 의해서 나타나고 있었다. 비효율성에 영향을 미치는 외부적인 요소를 살펴보면, 우선 세계화는 비효율성에 영향을 주고 있다. 세계화의 요소 중에서는 경제적인 요소보다는 전반적인 세계화 정도가 더 영향을 미쳤으며, 인프라와 관련되어서는 인력, 금융적 지원, 기반 등 소프트웨어적 측면의 영향력이 더 유의했으며 법제도적인 측면에서는 집행의 투명성, 법제도의 효과가 유의하게 영향을 미치는 것을 밝혀냈다.

  • Emerging as a strategic domain of the service industry, the drone logistics industry is evolving into a zero effort industry, which realizes smart device service ranging from corporate services to daily customer services. The role of the drone industry is becoming increasingly important in strengthening national competitiveness, as well as corporate competitiveness, beyond the strengthening of product competitiveness. Although drones have various strengths and weaknesses for industries, there are plenty of possibilities for diverse disputes and conflicts due to lack of related laws, regulations, and institutional norms, as well as unsolved problems related to technologies and operations; that is, there are still policy tasks and problems to be solved such as unauthorized seizure of drones, hacking, protection of personal privacy, safety concerns, regulation and limitation of flying areas, damage relief, and dispute settlements. Thus, in order to vitalize the drone industry as a future growth engine while responding to the changes in the environment of the drone industry in Korea and overseas and to strengthen national and corporate competitiveness by harmonizing with advanced management innovations, it is necessary to conduct in-depth discussions and review policy issues related to the vitalization of the drone industry. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to review the domestic and overseas realities and statuses of the drone logistics industry and application cases, analyze policies regarding the drone logistics industry of each country, review general theories on the solution of disputes arising out of the transactions in the drone logistics industry, and, as a conclusion, suggest desirable policy issues for the vitalization of the drone logistics industry in Korea.

인천항의 물류네트워크 경쟁력 분석에 관한 연구 (A study on Competitiveness Analysis of Incheon Port Logistics Network)

  • 본 연구는 선행연구와 전문가 인터뷰를 통하여 항만물류네트워크가 제공하는 서비스 경쟁력의 주요속성들을 추출하고, 이 속성들을 토대로 인천항의 경쟁력 변화에 따른 파급효과를 분석하였다. 연구결과 항만물류네트워크가 제공하는 서비스는 시설편의, 접근편의, 결정편의로 구분됨을 확인하였고, 항만간 물류네트워크 경쟁력 통합평가치의 결과에서는 부산항>청도항>천진항>대련항>인천항 순으로 경쟁력 차이를 보였다. 특히 시나리오 분석 결과 인천항의 물류네트워크 경쟁력은 대련항에도 크게 못 미치는 결과를 보여 전반적인 물류네트워크 서비스 증대가 불가피한 것으로 나타났다. 퍼지역평가를 통해 분석한 결과 인천항은 물류네트워크가 제공하는 서비스 수준을 시설편의 25%, 접근편의 8%, 결정편의 1%를 상승시킴으로써 대련항과 대등한 경쟁력 수준을 유지할 수 있었다.

  • This study deals with a Logistics Information System(LIS) in recording industry. Many companies developed a LIS to minimize logistics cost and improve customer services. However, due to the diversity of distribution structure and the complexity of logistics process, developing an LIS in recording industry is complicated. This paper analyses the current situation in domestic recording industry and presents a framework of LIS. This system is composed of the front office related to the logistics processes and the back office related to the rest of the processes. This system can be used to develop an LIS in logistics industry. Some examples are given and discussed to validate the proposed LIS.

  • The concept of e-Business has been around for more than two decades but it has not been used widely enough due to high installation and maintenance cost and complexity. In order to solve such problems, two standardization organizations UN/CEFACT and OASIS have developed an open e-Business standard called ebXML that can be easily adopted by industries. Based on the ebXML, we have developed an e-Logistics integrated platform for industries to do business electronically. The e-Logistics integrated platform was applied to B2B postal logistics industry and efficient interoperability between companies with different systems has been achieved.

A Study of the Logistics Development in Hai Phong Port

  • Vietnam is entering an important phase of urbanization that corresponds to the current economic development. Developing logistics of Vietnam in general, and Haiphong particularly, is urgent in order to meet the need for the economic development of Viet Nam in this period of international integration. Hai Phong's development record over the past 20 years is remarkable. In conjunction with the local government's efforts, external factors, such as increasing direct foreign investment, is turning Hai Phong into Vietnam's logistics hub. However, even though Hai Phong accounted for 98% of North Vietnam's throughput, its logistics services are low level, the ports are fragmented, and the port management scale is backward, with the legal system overlapping. This paper has systematically evaluated the development of Haiphong city during recent years, then offers some solutions to develop logistics for Hai Phong ports.

  • Although the specification of packaging box is one of the most important process to be considered before deciding cost in terms of production and logistics, there are no efficient services in our country at this time as such the making decision only through the empirical knowledge. In this research, we have developed the packaging specification design system based on the web online packaging IT service. The developed system was advanced from the existing-inefficient process of deciding the specification of packaging box, and which can decide the specification of packaging box considering the efficiency of logistics through use of IT based tool. Therefore, this study shows applied cases of normalized packaging process through the obtained packaging design simulation program. The packaging specification design system can provide the simulation and user interface. Those could calculate the specification of packaging box(packaging box size, packaging box quantity, packaging box pattern, packaging compressive strength, packaging cost etc.) considering the efficiency of logistics.

  • Recently, the role of container ports is radically changing, These changes are largely driven by the innovation process of Logistics such as Supply Chain Logistics and Global Logistics due to the international expansional of industry. Under this environment, It is required that the container port should act as a integral part of a Supply Logistics Chain especially to provide the customer-oriented logistics service. This paper deals with the development strategy of container ports coping with these changes in the view point of container ports as a Logistics infrastructure to provide customer-response services and necessary to the economic promotion of hinterlands. Strategy is suggested in the phases of the customers desire, the pattern of container cargo, the economic promotion of hinterlands, and interrelation of container ports in north-east Asia and also domestics through the analysis of competiveness of container ports.

An Input-Output Analysis on the Economic Effect of the Korean First Medium-term Logistics Plan (2001-2005)

  • This study introduces the adoption of the logistics industry by the Korean government as a threshold of overcoming economic difficulties. The core contents of the National Logistics Plans (2001-2020) which contain the basic principles of the logistics policies of the Korean government and its aim to be an 'Excellent Nation of Logistics' is introduced. The economic effect of the logistics policies implemented between 2001 and 2005, (the period of the first Medium-term Logistics Plan according to the National Logistics Plans (2001-2020) set up by the Korean government at the end of 2000) is estimated through input-output analysis. The input-output analysis result is as follows: the total output effect is 8,856 billion won of which indirect output effect is 3,982.9 billion won; indirect output effect comes mainly from real estate and business services, non-metal products, metal products, electrical and electronics products, finance and insurance, wholesale and retail, petroleum and coal; the total amount of value-added effect is 3,376 billion won and total import effect is 726 billion won. Employment effect including self-employed and unpaid family supporters with paid laborers is 79,203.7 people of which paid laborers comprise 67,547.7 people.

  • With the advent of the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, various support policies and programs are being introduced as the promotion of startups related to the 4th industry is promoted as a core policy of the government. Based on major technologies such as Artificial Intelligence(AI), Big Data, Internet of Things(IoT), Blockchain, and Automation leading the 4th industrial revolution, logistics and distribution companies are expanding the range of markets and services provided. The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of startups in the logistics field based on major technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution, which are rapidly growing at home and abroad, and suggest implications for revitalizing logistics startups through a policy demand survey. As a result of the study, in order to foster domestic logistics startups, we propose policy support for integration of logistics startups, integrated management of information, provision of physical space, network platform, and practical education and mentoring.
