  • The Internet of Things is one of the most important technologies that can realize a super connective society. Efforts are being made to use the Internet in most areas of our society. In this flow, one of the interesting things that we see in our lives is the change in the logistics industry. The key to change is that it is likely to evolve continuously as it pursues unmanned activities. In this study, we examined the change of the logistics industry using the Internet of things. It also describes the necessary processes for efficient operation of the unmanned market

  • In modern marketing environment, we are more interested in logistics as industrial structure is complicated and globalized. Most companies focus on reducing the cost price. So a lot of companies study on cost estimation logistics. However, it Is very difficult to estimate the cost of logistics. Thus they mainly use linear method such as the simple distance of transportation. This study defines the cost of logistics, structure & network of military logistics and proposes the costing estimation model in the logistics. We apply to battle shoes which are the main clothing in the military. In the result, we found some differences on the rate of cost structure between military and civil companies. This study can be used directly to the decision making for optimal military logistics alternatives and contribute to the efficient operation of military budget.

  • In the global competition environment, companies are using international logistics centers located in ports and airports to reduce costs and improve logistics services through the rationalization of logistics networks. By examining how the characteristics of shipper companies affect the utilization of the international logistics center, this study aims to suggest implications for the desirable operation and utilization of the international logistics center. As a result, the factors that utilize the international logistics center were extracted into three main factors of visibility, addition, and responsiveness. The case of addition was found to be the size of the firm and the type of product being handled. The company's characteristics in terms of responsiveness were found to be product type. In addition, the variable affecting the willingness to use the international logistics center was the period of use of the logistics center.

  • The Korean Ship Supply market scale estimated at 5.7 trillion won in 2014. Much activated and related 400 of companies located in Busan, Ulsan near Busan area. But there have many companies had lower average revenue like a 2 billion won, Also the economic slump of world maritime port industry and low priced ship supply manufacture like as China and Other developing countries, those things made a gloomy situation in domestic industry. Therefore, in this study focused on Ship Supply Common Logistics for activation plan of Ship Supply Industry. And also determine which factor is most important to Ship Supply Common Logistics and analyzed AHP and IP analysis on 16 factors based on literature review. The result, most important factor was cost for Ship Supply Common Logistics.

  • This paper analyzed tendency of research of articles published in the Journal of Shipping and Logistics from Vol. 51 to Volume 60. The results of the analysis are as the following: First, the subjects mainly researched in shipping and in logistics are port economics/management and logistics management/operation in the proportion of 35.0% and 13.7%, respectively. Second, university professors carry out research more actively than other research groups. Third, quantitative analyses are more often used than qualitative analyses for research method. Finally, Korean literatures and English literatures are used at the same rate for reference. In conclusion, for the development of the Journal of Shipping and Logistics, the subjects should be diversified, systematic collaboration between educational and industrial circles is required. and cooperation with foreign academies should be continued.

  • Current competition among companies than regional, the time constraints, it is globalization, Tilt the efforts of many to be operated by building the efficient distribution system to reduce logistics costs and improve customer service it is reality's there. Therefore, the need for industrial complexes environmentally friendly can be cost competitive companies perform cavitation region's increased. To build the distribution center these logistics system through a joint of freight and appropriate policy is required. In particular, efficient operation through the system construction of industrial complexes in the logistics system is very important in terms of friendly low-cost urban logistics, the environment. Since the traffic volume which is Jipufa and utilization of network is transported by a more appropriate technicians and means suitable operating model can efficiency is improved. However, despite these advantages, research network design has not been actively conducted due to the complexity of the problem. Therefore, in this study, by analyzing the logistics system, and presents the operating model through a simulation and basic settings for the model of the logistics complex based on the analysis result, the construction of infrastructure of logistics industry complex it is intended to present the article.

An Analysis on Optimal Port Operation for New International Passenger Terminal Using Conjoint Analysis: Focusing on Incheon Port (컨조인트분석을 활용한 신국제여객터미널 최적 항만운영 방안에 관한 연구-인천항을 중심으로)

  • This study uses Conjoint Analysis to study optimal port operations at the newly built International P assenger Terminal (IPT) at Inchon Port, Korea. The perceptions of users, operators, and the Incheon Port Authority are compared and analyzed. The results of user Conjoint Analysis showed that rent calculation method was the most important factor in the NIPT operation plan, followed by establishing automation and the size of the site area. For the Incheon Port Authority and operators, the rent calculation method turned out to be the most important factor for NIPT operation plans. It was followed by establishing automation and the site area. Utility results showed the "investment cost preservation method" to have the highest rent calculation utility, "yard automation" as the priority, and "43,000 pyeong-48,000 pyeong" as the optimal site area.

  • Controlling industrial vehicle operated by human in warehouse was not simple since the information transfer for controlling the vehicle was not easy. However, as the technology for the WMS (Warehouse Management System) has been advanced and the PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) has come into wide use in a workplace, the control of man-operated vehicle became less difficult as do to AGVS (Automated Guided Vehicle System). This study examines the ways to improve the efficiency of warehouse operation through introducing rule of task assignment for the vehicles, particularly forklift. This study, basically, refer to AGV operation policy because a great number of studies for AGV dispatching rule have been done and the mechanism for the controlling vehicles is very similar. The workers in field prefer to simple dispatching rules such as Shortest Retrieval Time First (SRTF), Shortest Travel Time First (STTF), and Longest Waiting Time First (LWTF). However, these rules have potential disadvantage. Thus, several rules made up by combining rules mentioned above are introduced and these new rules use threshold value or evaluation formula. The effectiveness of these new rules are tested by simulation and the results are compared. This study proposes favorable dispatching rules for forklift in warehouse for the efficiency of the vehicle operation and stability of service level.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the method of calculating the usage fee, rent, and lease rights of public goods necessary for the operation and management of the underground shopping mall, and to suggest systematic improvement points for the operation of the underground shopping mall. Data and Methodology: First, ordinances and regulations related to common property were investigated. Second, previous studies were analyzed. A survey was conducted with five questions that conflict with the interests of underground shopping mall merchants among the ordinances and operating systems related to the current underground shopping malls' common property. Results: Underpass merchants wanted monthly payment for the use of common property, and merchant organizations wanted to limit the increase rate with the right to use. They asked for the property value due to donation to be excluded from the loan fee, they wanted to revise the Common Property Act on the transfer of lease rights, and they wanted to revise the loan contract renewal period. Conclusion: There is a need to improve the laws and systems for underground shopping malls, and it will have to be negotiated according to the opinions of the merchants gathered among them, and it will have to be implemented in stages in the long term.

  • The business process of global third party logistics company is defined as a network of logistics activities which involves the products that are manufactured in the developing countries, such as Vietnam, China and so on, and delivered to North or South American countries via intermediate stopover sites. The third party logistics company usually uses proprietary logistics information system to support the related logistics activities. However, each consignor sometimes may require different business process based on the customer type or characteristics of their products. Therefore, the third party logistics company need to modify their business process to reflect customer's requirements, resulting in the modification of logistic information systems and additional costs. Therefore, a flexible mechanism is required to efficiently support the various types of requirements by the owners of the products. In this paper, first, we figured out various business rules related to third party global logistics activities. Second, we grouped the identified business rules into business processes, objects, relations, dependency, policy, representations, execution, and resources and further into precondition, postcondition, and invariant based on checking point in time. Furthermore, the categorized rules are classified into inter-activity and intra-activity rules based on the execution range. Third, we proposed a rule syntax to describe the defined rules into scripts which are understood by user and information system together. When each activity is executed, the rule manager checks whether there are rules related with the activity execution. Finally, we developed a prototype rule management system to show the feasibility of our proposed methodology and to validate it with an example.
