In this paper, we propose the sensor and the signal duplicator for the automatic building control. Developed duplicator realizes the sensor data collection apparatus and mimics the measured data and, thus, reduces the construction cost by using logical communication layer. Furthermore, the system supports the open protocols and can be associated with HMI(Human Machine Interface) used on the market. Developed duplicator is proved to be functional within the real environment. Measurement error rate, operating temperature, and operating humidity show very good results by the certified testing apparatus and organization.

Motif which is a recurrent feature shared by a significant segments from the proteins belonging to different families can be used to predict functional or structural properties of the protein, or to describe features common to biologically related proteins. Although there are many existed motif databases, they are unstandardized and built up by different methods. so it is difficult to get enough motif information when researches use motif databases for classification, prediction, etc. Using logical integration of biological based on cross-references between these databases is the common solution for information tracking through www. However, the problem such as the motif resource tracking method for making a united motif information page emerges from cross-reference. In this paper we propose the motif resource tracking method based on the existed motif databases for easy and comfortable interface better than in the case of using each motif database. The result which is given by this method is the review of necessary information about any motif in PROSITE database.

In the previous work, we presented HDTS for locating logical errors in Java programs. The HDTS locates an erroneous method at an execution tree using an algorithmic program debugging technique and locates a statement with errors in the erroneous method using a step-wise program debugging. The technique can remove the unnecessary statements and nodes in debugging using a program slicing technique at the execution tree. So HDTS reduces the number of program debugging. In this paper, we design HDTS system for debugging java programs. We define small subset of Java language and design the translator that translates java source codes and the virtual machine that runs java programs. We design GUI(Graphical User Interface) for debugging.

This paper describes the outboard NIU(Network Interface Unit) using microprocessor and the hardware and software of concentrator for constructing star typed LAN(Local Area Network) based on token ring method. The NIU adapter can adapter up to four parallel and serial typed terminals. Because it has PAD function on input output data, any type of terminals can be adapted. Since the concentrator has logical switching circuit which enables data to bypass the faulted NIU adapter, this network prevents communication break. When user transmits and receives data, the concentrator constructs star typed LAN which connct both transmitting and receiving sides. A s result, this network eliminated ring latency time in other NIU exculding transmitting and receiving NIU. So the throughput of this LAN is increased. Because this LAN system consists of several modultes according to it's function, the expansion of function or the modification of method is easy.

This paper has two main purposes, One is a scientific theory for the Hangul writing system. It is a mathematical model which is formulated a logical characteristics involved in the compositionality principle of Hun Min Jung Um[6], and is based on the traditional scientific methodology and theory. The other is an engineering model for the Hangul writing system. It has proven that the model is more theoretical and practical that the conventional models called Hangul automata. This paper also shows the reasons why Korean has a great national pride in Hangul[3]. Consequently, we suggest that Hangul writing system has a potential capability as an ultimate human interface connecting human, computer and information.

This paper describes the design and implementation of system for editing SGML document instance using document structure information of SGML DTD. ATM 포럼에 제시된 LR 기법에서는 위치 등록기를 각 계층별로 물리적으로 배치하고 있어 다수의 데이터베이스가 필요하고, 데이터베이스 액세스 회수가 증가하며 위치 관리를 위한 신호 트래픽이 많고 호 설정 지연이 증가하는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 PNNI(Private Network to Network Interface) 기반의 무선 ATM 망에서 기존 LR 기법에서 사용하는 물리적인 계층 구조에서 각 계층마다 위치 등록기를 둠으로 인한 문제점을 보완하기 위해 PNNI 계층을 적용하여 논리적 계층에 의한 위치 등록기 구조를 제시한다. 논리적 계층 구조에서는 위치 등록기를 논리적인 그룹으로 묶고, 이 그룹들을 다시 그룹으로 묶어서 위치 등록기의 논리적인 트리 헝태로 만들어 상위 레벨의 위치 등록기의 역할을 하위 레벨의 위치 등록기 중 하나가 수행할 수 있도록 한다. 그리고, 위치 관리 비용 측면에서 성능을 비교 평가하여 제안된 논리적 계층 구조가 기존의 물리적 계층 구조에 비해 데이터베이스 수가 줄어들고, 위치 관리 비용을 줄이는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.

Recently, Digital video is one of the important information media delivered on the Internet and playing an increasingly important role in multimedia. This paper proposes a Video Browsing Service(VBS) that provides both the video content retrieval and the video browsing by the real-time user interface on Web, For the scene segmentation and key frame extraction of video sequence, we proposes an efficient scene change detection method that combines the RGB color histogram with the $x^2$(Chi Square) histogram. Resulting key frames are linked by both physical and logical indexing, This system involves the video editing and retrieval function of a VCR's, Three elements that are the date, the field and the subject are used for video browsing. A Video Browsing Service is implemented with MySQL, PHP and JMF under Apache Web Server.

A method of multiple transport-aircraft mission modeling is proposed in order to improve the efficiency of evaluating and optimizing pre-mission plans. To deal with the challenge of multiple transport-aircraft missions, the object-oriented modeling method is utilized. The elements of the mission are decomposed into objects and businesses, And the major mission objects and their important properties are summarized. A complex mission can be broken down into basic business modules such as the ground section and flight section. The business models of loading and fueling services in the ground section are described. The business model of the flight section is composed of an air route and flight profile with the flight equation and the fuel consumption model. The logical relationship of objects and business modules is introduced. The architecture of the simulation system, which includes a database, computation module, graphical user interface (GUI) module, and a result analysis module, is established. A sample case that includes two different plans is provided to verify the model's ability to achieve multi-aircraft composite mission simulation.

This paper describes the design and implementation of ODA document formatter with the capability of interchange for the structured multimedia document information between heterogeneous systems. We designed the formatter generating the specific layout structure by the generic about structure and establishing relationship between specific logical/layout structure by interaction of user. For it, we proposed backtracking mechanism and processing rules of layout directive. Especially, we implemented and interactive method as user interface for ease creation of a document due to show user transparently complicated internal of structure.
