The importance of algorithm education has been emphasized for creative problem-solving capability. Especially, algorithm teaching materials related with mathematics and science are under development to enhance logical thinking. However, there are not enough teaching-learning models applicable in the field of education. Therefore, this paper proposed a teaching-learning model for effective algorithm education. The teaching-learning model reflects two characteristics : an algorithm learning process is spiral, and algorithm education is based on logical thinking. Furthermore, a survey was conducted for students' satisfaction, and the result was a mixed teaching-learning model with PBL, SDL, and peer tutoring. Based on the proposed model, examples of classes for mathematics and science are suggested to show the feasibility of effective algorithm education.

Digital technology brought about many changes which has changed the life of modern people. Adolescents need programming learning to increase a competitiveness what will lead the future. Recently though an interest about programming learning has raised, there are many trouble to take programming learning. In this paper, we planed and implemented a program that elementary students can learn programming using Kodu easily and excitingly. According to comparison of pre-to-post tests about logical thinking using GALT, correlational reasoning and total of experimental group were growing significantly. Also, elementary students had positive cognition in learning interest about programming.

The purpose of this study was to develop a framework for predicting searching performance through an understanding of how cognitive ability relates to searching process and outcome. Specifically, this study examined the relationship between spatial visualization, logical reasoning, integrative reasoning, and information searching process and outcome. Information searching process was assessed by seven search process indicators: (1) search command selection: (2) combination of search commands; (3) application of Boolean logic: (4) application of truncation; (5) use of limit search function; (6) number of search statements; and (7) number of search errors made. Searching outcome was assessed by the number of correct answers to search questions. Subjects first took three standardized cognitive tests that measured cognitive abilities, and performed online catalog searching in response to seven information search questions. The searches were logged using Lotus ScreenCam, and reviewed for the analysis. Factor analysis was used to find underlying structures of the seven search process variables. Multiple regression analysis was applied to examine the predictive power of three cognitive variables on three extracted factors, and search outcome. Results of the data analysis showed that individual differences in logical reasoning could predict information searching process and outcome.

This paper proposes a design technique of a survivable ship backbone network, which describes a near optimal configuration scheme of physical and logical topologies of which the survivable ship backbone network consists. We first analyze and present an efficient architecture of a survivable ship backbone network consisting of redundant links and ship devices with dual communication interfaces. Then, we present an integer linear programming-based configuration scheme of a physical topology with regard to the proposed ship backbone network architecture. Finally, we present a metaheuristic-based configuration scheme of a logical topology, underlying the physical topology.

Existing multipath routing mechanism has much overhead to maintain the state of nodes on the multipath route and does not guarantees completely disjoint multipath construction from source to destination. In this paper, we propose an Explicit Disjoint Multipath (EDM) routing algorithm to enhance energy efficiency through removing the flooding mechanism for route discovery process, minimizing the number of nodes participating in route update and balancing the traffic load for entire network. EDM constructs logical pipelines which can create disjoint multipaths in logical way. Then it physically performs anchor node based geographic routing along the logical pipeline in order to build multipath to the destination. EDM can provide the distribution effect of traffic load over the network, help to balance the energy consumption and therefore extend the network lifetime.

In this study, developed economic and efficient Pavement Management System (PMS) that can produce suitable M/R method through estimation and analysis of pavement condition exactly, to overcome past unscientific pavement management limitations. First on the basis of data of the inside and outside of the country on PMS and pavement condition data of Seoul metropolitan, composed logical algorithm such as pavement condition investigation and analysis, detailed eye investigation whole system estimation etc, and it verified that this algorithm is suitable system through the inside and outside of the county PMS research examples and results of detailed eye investigation. Also, Considering user interface, developed PMS program and GIS program with such logical algorithm.

In this paper, we have improved the speed of gradient operation, which needs to calculate Optical Flow for estimating a moving object, and proposed a method which estimate the contour of a moving object by the logical operationg of Optical Flow and edge in noisy images. The proposed method, which recognize to a moving ogject and traking a moving object, using logical operation of Optical Flow and edge in low-level has a advantage that is simpler than the known method for moving objects estimation. In addition, we have simulated several images using method I and method II on improved Gradient operation speed. When we have compared the average value of total operation time, method I is improved with 12% of operation speed compared with the known method, method II is improved with 38% operation speed.

현대의 전기 통신망은 통신서비스의 단순한 제공 수단에서 국가적인 사회간접자본으로 그 역할이 변화되고 있다. 이와 같은 통신망의 역할 변화와 함께 초고속화, 집중화 되는 통신망의 안정성에 대한 체계적인 연구의 중요성은 매우 중요한 문제이다. 통신망의 안정성은 시스템 설계의 신뢰성 확보, 재난에 대한 예방 대책, 재난 관리 시스템 운용, 재해 복구 대책, 사업자간 제휴 등으로 예방 및 대처가 부분적으로 가능하지만 망 사업자의 입장에서는 가능한 자원을 최적으로 활용하여 외부 재해나 내부 장애에도 강건한 구조의 통신망으로 계획하고 설계함이 가장 기초적인 안정성 대책이 된다. 본 논문은 이와 같은 통신망의 안정성을 체계적으로 계획하고 이에 맞게 통신망을 설계하는 일관된 과정(Integrated Network Design Process)을 위한 통신망 안정성에 대한 계층적 모형을 설명하고, 유사동기식 전송 기술에서 최근의 동기식 전송 기술로 대체되고, 향후 ATM 전달 모드로의 진화되는 추세를 감안할 때 필수적인 새로운 통신망 안정성 모형을 제시한다. 특히 기존에는 Logical Layer와 Transmission System Layer로 나누어 계획되고 설계되는 일련의 과정들이 동기식 장비들의 개선된 interworking과 ATM의 유연한 망구조의 장점 때문에 통합되어 계획/설계되어야 하는 필요성과 장단점을 설명하고 최근의 최적화 기술은 이와 같은 통합된 설계 모형에도 효율적이 해결 방안을 제공함을 보여준다. 이와 같은 제시된 통합 방법론/모형과 함께 한국통신의 기간 전송망의 계획과 설계에 사용된 사례를 제시하고, 향후 국가적으로 중요한 관심 사항인 초고속통신망/BISDN의 구축에 효율적으로 응용되기 위한 추가적인 연구 주제와 기대성과를 논의한다.

In this paper, design of efficient NDB(Network Data Base) for the activation plan of chain information network. The DB structure build up, logical structure, store structure, physical structure, the data express for one's record, and the express using linked in the releation of data. Also express as hierarchical model on the DSD(Data Structure Diagram) from the database with logical structure. Each node has express on record type, the linked in course of connective this type, the infuence have efficent of access or search of data, in the design for connection mutually a device of physical, design for database, and construction a form of store for logical. Also activation of chain information network of efficent, using POS(Point Of Sale) system in OSI(Open Systems Interconnection) environment for network standardization, and build up network a design for system.

Logical thinking and creative thinking. in the elementary school are very important. Even though these have been studied very many, the computer program education has the lack of instruction strategy. In this paper, the instruction strategies of computer program language education in the elementary school to improve them are proposed. These are the principles of the input and output, effectiveness, generalization, simplification, and the principles of abstraction. These five principles are verified by the 20 experts from deep interview. Using the results of this study will contribute a lot of the program language eduction for elementary school teachers.
