HiPi-bus 구조의 다중 프로세서 시스템에서의 잠금장치 (A Lock Mechanism for HiPi-bus Based Multiprocessor Systems)

  • Lock mechanism is essential for synchronization on the multiprocessor systems. Lock mechanism needs to reduce the time for lock operation in low lock contention. Lock mechanism must consider the case of the high lock contention. The conventional lock control scheme in memory results in the increase of bus traffic and memory utilization in lock operation. This paper suggests a lock scheme which stores the lock data in cache and manages it efficiently to reduce the time spent in lock operation when the lock contention is low on a multiprocessor system built on HiPi-bus(Highly Pipelined bus). This paper also presents the design of the HIPi-CLOCK (Highly Pipelined bus Cache LOCK mechanism) which transfere the data from on cache to another when the lock contention is high. The designed simulator compares the conventional lock scheme which controls the lock in memory with the suggested HiPi-CLOCK scheme in terms of the RMW(Read-Modify-Write) operation time using simulated trace. It is shown that the suggested lock control scheme performance is over twice than that of the conventional method in low lock contention. When the lock contention is high, the performance of the suggested scheme increases as the number of the shared lock data increases.

Fault Current Limiting Characteristics of Separated and Integrated Three-Phase Flux-Lock Type SFCLs

  • The fault current limiting characteristics of the separated and the integrated three-phase flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiters (SFCLs) were analyzed. The three-phase flux-lock type SFCL consisted of three flux-lock reactors and three $high-T_c$ superconducting (HTSC) elements. In the integrated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL, three flux-lock reactors are connected on the same iron core. On the other hand, three flux-lock reactors of the separated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL are connected on three separated iron cores. The integrated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL showed the different fault current limiting characteristics from the separated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL that the fault phase could affect the sound phase, which resulted in quench of the HTSC element in the sound phase. Through the computer simulation applying numerical analysis for its three-phase equivalent circuit, the fault current limiting characteristics of the separated and the integrated three-phase flux-lock type SFCLs according to the ground fault types were compared.

  • Vortex lock-on or resonance in the flow behind a circular cylinder is visualized by a time-resolved PIV when a single frequency oscillation is superimposed on the mean incident velocity. Measurements are made of the $K{\'{a}}rm{\'{a}}n$ vortices in the wake-transition regime at the Reynolds number 360. Basically, natural shedding state is observed to compare with lock-on state. Wake motion by the change of the shedding frequency of lock-on state is investigated. When lock-on occurs, the vortex shedding frequency is found to be half the oscillation frequency as expected from previous experiments. The physical flow phenomena of natural shedding and lock-on states are analyzed with physical parameters of recirculation and vortex formation region. Consequently, it is found that the change of wake bubble plays an important role in the flow at the lock-on state. Vortex formation region is also actively changed like recirculation region as the lock-on occurs. Therefore, it is deduced that the recirculation region is closely related with the vortex formation region.

Effect of lock-on frequency on vortex shedding in the cylinder wake

Measurements are made of the $K\acute{a}rm\acute{a}n$ and streamwise vortices in the wake-transition regime at the Reynolds number 360. Streamwise vortices at the lock-on and natural shedding states are observed, as well as the changes in the wake region with the change of the shedding frequency of lock-on state. When lock-on occurs, the vortex shedding frequency is found to be half the oscillation frequency as expected from previous experiments. At the lock-on state, the $K\acute{a}rm\acute{a}n$ vortices are observed to be more disordered by the increased strength and spanwise wavelength of the streamwise vortices, which leads to a strong three-dimensional motion. Recirculation and vortex formation region at the lock-on state is reduced as the oscillating frequency is increased. By comparing the Reynolds stresses at the lock-on and natural shedding states, $\bar{u'u'}\;and \;\bar{u'u'}$ at the lock-on state are concentrated on the shear layer around the cylinder. The $\bar{u'u'}\;at\;f_o/f_n=2.0$ has a large value near the centerline, compared with that of other cases. Considering the traces of maximum of u', in the wake region near the cylinder, wake width at the lock-on state is wider than that at the natural shedding state.

무인항공기의 노즐 형상 변화가 Lock-on Range에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Investigation of the Effects of UAV Nozzle Configurations on Aircraft Lock-on Range)

  • 표적 대상 항공기의 적외선 lock-on range는 항공기의 생존성을 결정하는데 있어 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 무인항공기의 엔진 노즐 형상이 lock-on range에 미치는 영향에 관한 이론적 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 가상 아음속 항공기의 임무 요구조건과 엔진 성능분석을 통한 형상 변형노즐을 고려하였다. 먼저 열유동장과 노즐 표면 온도분포를 해석한 다음, 적외선 신호 해석을 수행하였다. 또한 대기전파 모델인 LOWTRAN 코드를 이용하여 고도와 계절변화에 따른 대기투과율을 계산하였다. IR 유도 미사일의 센서 특성값을 가정하여 여러 노즐형상에 대한 lock-on 및 lethal envelope 계산을 수행하였다. 높은 세장비를 갖는 변형노즐의 경우 최대 55.3%의 lock-on range 감소가 가능한 것으로 나타났다.

  • We investigate the comparison of fault current characteristics between the separates three-phase flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiter(SFCL) and integrated three-phase flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiter(SFCL). The single-phase flux-lock type SFCL consists of two coils. The primary coil is wound in parallel to the secondary coil on an iron core and superconducting elements are connected to secondary coil in series. Superconducting elements are used by the YBCO coated conductor. The separated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL consists of single-phase flux-phase type SFCL in each phase. But the integrated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL consists of three-phase flux-reactors wound on an iron core. Flux-reactor consists of the same turn's ratio between coil 1 and coil 2 for each single phase. To compare the current limiting characteristics of the separated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL and integrated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL, the short circuit experiments are carried out fault condition such as the single line-to-ground fault. The experimental result shows that fault current limiting characteristic of the separated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL was better than integrated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL. And the integrated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL has an effect on sound phase.

하드웨어 지원의 재시도 없는 잠금기법 (Efficient Hardware Support: The Lock Mechanism without Retry)

  • 잠금기법은 분산 병렬 시스템의 동기화에 필수적이다. 기존의 큐잉 잠금기법은 최초의 잠금 읽기와 잠금 경합발생 시 공유 데이터에 대한 잠금이 해제되었을 때 발생하는 잠금 읽기 재 시도로 두 개의 트래픽을 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 WPV(Waiting Processor Variable) 잠금기법이라 불리는 새로운 잠금기법을 제안한다 새로이 제안하는 기법은 오직 한 개의 잠금 읽기 명령을 사용한다. WPV 기법은 파이프라인 전송방식을 사용하여 최초의 잠금 읽기 단계에서 공유 데이터가 전송될 때까지 대기 한 후 잠금을 실시한다. 데이터에 대한 잠금을 수행중인 프로세서는 대기 상태의 다음 프로세서에 대한 정보를 저장하고 있으므로, 공유 데이터가 캐쉬 대 캐쉬 데이터 전송 기법에 의하여 대기중인 다음 프로세서로 바로 전송된다. 따라서 대기중인 프로세서 에 대한 변수는 연결 리스트 구조를 갖는다. 제안된 기법은 캐쉬 상태의 잠금기법을 사용하여 잠금 오버 헤드를 줄이고 다중 잠금 경합 발생시 FIFO를 유지하게 한다. 또한 본 논문에서는 기존의 메모리 및 캐쉬 큐잉 잠금기법에 대한 WPV 잠금기법의 해석적 모델링을 제시한다. WPV 잠금기법에 대한 시뮬레이션의 결과는 기존의 큐잉 잠금기법에 비하여 50%의 접근 시간의 감소를 보여주었다.

Numerical Analysis of Unsteady Flow around a Transversely Oscillating Circular Cylinder

  • The relationship between the excitation frequency and the vortex shedding frequency is analyzed during the oscillation of the circular cylinder. Two-dimension unsteady Navier-Stoke's equation is calculated by using the Optimized High Order Compact (OHOC) scheme. The flow condition is Mach number 0.3 and Reynold's number 1000. From the results acquired by calculation, it can be inferred that, when the excitation frequency is near the vortex shedding frequency at the fixed cylinder wake, the oscillation frequency of lift and drag coefficients appears to lock-on. The lock-on refers to a phenomenon in which the aerodynamic coefficient appears as one primary oscillation frequency through excitation and its amplitude is amplified. In the non-lock-on zone, the excitation frequency is not in the lock-on mode anymore and beat is formed in which two or more primary oscillation frequencies of the aerodynamic coefficient are mixed together.

Re=360에서 교란유동장에 놓인 원형실린더 후류의 유동공진 현상에 대한 직접수치해석 (Direct Numerical Simulation of the Lock-on Phenomena in the Wake behind a Circular Cylinder in a Perturbed Flow at Re=360)

  • Lock-on phenomenon in the wake of a circular cylinder is investigated at the Reynolds number of 360 using direct numerical simulation (DNS). To induce lock-on, a streamwise velocity perturbation with a frequency of twice the natural shedding frequency is superimposed on the free stream velocity. The Reynolds stress distributions are investigated to analyze the streamwise force balance acting on the recirculation region and the results are compared with the previous experimental result. When the lock-on occurs, the pressure force on the recirculation region is shown to increase mainly due to the reversal of the Reynolds shear stress distribution, which is consistent with our previous results using PIV measurement. It is also shown that, with the lock-on, the strength of the primary vortices increases whereas that of the secondary vortices decreases significantly. Further, under the lock-on condition the wavelength of the secondary vortices increases by as much as 2.5 times.

기계 학습 기반의 자동화된 스머지 공격과 패턴 락 시스템 안전성 분석 (Automated Smudge Attacks Based on Machine Learning and Security Analysis of Pattern Lock Systems)

  • 터치스크린 기반 스마트 기기가 널리 보급 되면서 모바일 환경을 위한 주요 인증 메커니즘으로 그래픽 패스워드 기법 중 하나인 패턴 락 시스템이 등장했다. 사용자가 잠금 해제를 위하여 패턴 락을 사용한 후의 남아있는 패턴 모양의 흔적은 스머지 공격에 취약하다. 이러한 스머지 공격에 대응하기 위하여 TinyLock을 포함한 다양한 패턴 락이 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 스머지 공격이 발생할 수 있는 환경에서 획득한 스머지 패턴 이미지를 이용하여 기계 학습을 통한 자동화된 스머지 공격의 유효성에 대하여 실험하고 안드로이드 패턴 락과 TinyLock의 안전성에 대하여 비교 분석하였다. 자동화된 스머지 공격에서 높은 공격 성공률을 보였으며 기존에 많이 사용되고 있는 안드로이드 패턴 락이 TinyLock보다 더 안전하지 않음을 검증하였다.
