FOG를 이용한 디지털 진북추종 방식 (Digital North Finding Method based on Fiber Optic Gyroscope)

  • FOG(fiber optic gyroscope :광섬유 자이로스코프)는 소형 경량화, 신속한 가동, 저 전력 소모 및 저렴한 가격으로 실현 가능하므로 자이로콤파스시스템에서의 선호도가 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 FOG를 기반으로 하며, 자이로콤파스시스템에 적용할 수 있는 디지털 진북추종 방식을 제안한다. FOG의 earth signal의 해석모델을 분석하고, lock-in증폭기를 통과한 earth signal을 모델링 한다. 두 개의 lock-in증폭기 출력신호를 이용한 진북추종 알고리즘을 개발하고, 이 알고리즘에 의한 디지털 진북추종 방식을 제안한다. 제안한 방식의 성능을 증명하기 위해 컴퓨터시뮬레이션 결과를 포함한다.

레이저 관성항법장치 초기정렬 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis on the Initial Alignment of Laser Inertial Navigation System)

  • Laser Inertial Navigation System(LINS) consists of Ring Laser Gyroscopes(RLG) and accelerometers. RLG has a lock-in region in which there is zero output for input angular rates less than about 0.1deg/sec. The lock-in region is generated by the imperfect mirrors in RLG. To avoid the lock-in region, a sinusoidal motion called dither motion is applied on RLG. Therefore this dither motion is measured by RLG/accelerometer even if at a stop state. In this situation, the performance on the initial alignment of LINS can be degraded. In this paper, we analyze the performance on the initial alignment of LINS theoretically and experimentally. Analysis results include how dither motion, the pre-filter and the corner frequency in alignment loop affects the performance on the initial alignment of LINS.

제동압력 제한밸브의 모터싸이클 ABS에의 적용 (Application of a Brake Pressure Restriction Valve to a Motorcylce ABS)

  • This paper presents an of a brake pressure restriction valve to a motorcycle anti-lock brake system(ABS). In the conventional anti-lock brake system of automobiles, slip ratio as a control variable is actively controlled, which requires wheel speed sensors, ECU, and a pressure modulator. In the ABS valve that has been developed for use in motorcycles, however, the brake pressure that is close to the wheel locking pressure is preset by simple exercises and then the valve just allows to pass the wheel locking pressure and cutoff the remaining pressure. Simulation studies with a single wheel braking dynamics and lumped chassis model show that the pressure restriction valve has basic ABS functions as well as some robustness properties for the uncertain load and road conditions as well as various initial braking speeds. Field tests also show that the pressure restriction valve avoids the wheel locking effectively.

Current Limiting Characteristics of a Flux-Lock Type SFCL for a Single-Line-to-Ground Fault

  • We have fabricated an integrated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL, which consists of an YBCO($YB_a2Cu_3O_7$) thin film and a flux-lock reactor wound around an iron core of each phase. In order to apply the SFCL in a real power system, fault analyses for the three-phase system are essential. The short-circuit currents were effectively limited by adjusting the numbers of winding of each secondary coil and their winding directions. The flux flow generated in the iron core cancelled out under the normal operation due to the parallel connection between primary and secondary windings. However, the flux-lock type SFCL with same iron core was operated just after the fault due to the flux generating in the iron core. To analyze the current limiting characteristics, the additive polarity winding was compared with the subtractive one in the flux lock reactor. Whenever a single line-to-ground fault occurred in any phase, the peak value of the line current of the fault phase in the additive polarity winding increased up to about 12.87 times during the first-half cycle. On the other hand, the peak value in the subtractive polarity winding increased up to about 34.07 times under the same conditions. This is because the current flow between the primary and the secondary windings changed to additive or subtractive status according to the winding direction. We confirmed that the current limiting behavior in the additive polarity winding was more effective for a single-line-to-ground fault

기계적 잠금장치의 적용여부에 따른 덕티드팬 클러치의 최적설계 및 분석 (Optimal Design and Analysis of Ducted Fan Clutch With or Without Mechanical Lock-up)

  • 덕티드팬의 동력절환장치인 클러치의 마찰판 사양을 최적설계하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 클러치는 기계적 잠금장치의 적용 여부에 따라 2가지 방식으로 구분하고 각자의 설계 조건 하에 최적화 되었다. 클러치를 최적 설계하기 위한 인자로 전달토크 용량, 마찰재 면압, 마찰면의 온도 및 드래그 토크 등을 계산하였고, 클러치 분리판의 부피와 드래그 토크의 최소화를 최적설계의 목적함수로 활용하였다. 기계적 잠금장치가 포함되지 않은 Type 1의 경우 덕티드팬의 피치각에 상관없이 클러치의 작동이 가능하지만, 기계적 잠금장치가 포함된 Type 2에 비해 마찰면의 외경이 약 2배정도 증가하였고, 부피는 약 5~7배, 드래그 토크는 약 7~12배 정도 증가하였다.

자속구속형 고온초전도 사고전류 제한기의 사고제거 후 회복특성 (Recovery Characteristics of a Flux-lock Type HTSC Fault Current Limiter after Fault Removal)

  • To apply the superconducting fault current limiter(SFCL) into a power system, the analysis for its recovery characteristics as well as the consideration for its cooperation with other protecting machine such as a circuit breaker is required. The recovery characteristics of the flux-lock type SFCL like its current limiting characteristics are dependent on the winding direction of two coils. In this paper, the experiments of the current limiting and the recovery characteristics of the flux-lock type SFCL with YBCO thin film were performed. From the analysis on the experimental results due to the winding direction of two coils, the limited fault current in case of the additive polarity winding was observed to be lower than that for the case of the subtractive polarity winding. In addition, the recovery time was found to be faster in case of the additive polarity winding compared to the subtractive polarity winding.

  • Modern automatic transmissions equip torque converters with lock-up clutches to reduce the energy loss of hydraulic systems. Instead of simply engaging the clutch disks, the new technology of clutch slip has been developed to improve the overall efficiency of power transmission. There are two major problems with the clutch slip system. The first is how to keep the slip between the two disks within a small range and the second is when to start or stop the slip. In this paper, the second problem is discussed in view of the vehicle economy. With a simple vehicle dynamic model, the fuel economy is calculated to determine the lock-up strategy. Then the lock-up strategy is developed for a slip schedule.

진동 유동장에서 유동공진에 의한 실린더 후류의 와류 특성 변화 (Change of Vortex Dynamics in the Cylinder Wake by the Lock-on to Oscillatory Incident Flow)

  • When vortex shedding is locked-on to a single frequency oscillatory flow, the variations of vortex dynamics are investigated using a time-resolved PIV system. Wake regions of recirculation and vortex formation, dynamic behavior of the shed vortices and the Reynolds stress fields are measured in the wake-transition regime at the Reynolds number 360. In the lock-on state, reduction of the wake region occurs and flow energy distributed downstream moves upstream being concentrated near the cylinder base. To observe the dynamic behavior of the shed vortices, the trajectory of the vortex center extended to the inside of the wake bubble is considered, which describes well the formation and evolution processes. The Reynolds stresses and their contributions to overall force balance on the wake bubble manifest the increase of the drag force by the lock-on.

  • In this paper, the power burden of High-TC superconducting (HTSC) module comprising the flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) with two triggering currents during the fault period was analyzed. The short-circuit tests for the simulated power system with the SFCL in the different fault positions, which were expected to affect the amplitude of the fault current, were carried out. Through the comparative analysis on the power burden of the HTSC modules, the proposed flux-lock type SFCL was confirmed to be effective to divide into two power burdens according to the amplitude of the fault currents.
