Incidences of urban flood and extreme heat waves (due to the urban heat island effect) are expected to increase in New Zealand under future climate change (IPCC 2022; MfE 2020). Increasingly, the mitigation of such events will depend on the resilience of a range Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) used in Sustainable Urban Drainage Schemes (SUDS), or Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) (Jamei and Tapper 2019; Johnson et al 2021). Understanding the impact of changing precipitation and temperature regimes due climate change is therefore critical to the long-term resilience of such urban infrastructure and design. Cuthbert et al (2022) have assessed the trade-offs between the water retention and cooling benefits of different urban greening methods (such as WSUD) relative to global location and climate. Using the Budyko water-energy balance framework (Budyko 1974), they demonstrated that the potential for water infiltration and storage (thus flood mitigation) was greater where potential evaporation is high relative to precipitation. Similarly, they found that the potential for mitigation of drought conditions was greater in cooler environments. Subsequently, Jaramillo et al. (2022) have illustrated the locations worldwide that will deviate from their current Budyko curve characteristic under climate change scenarios, as the relationship between actual evapotranspiration (AET) and potential evapotranspiration (PET) changes relative to precipitation. Using the above approach we assess the impact of future climate change on the urban water-energy balance in three contrasting New Zealand cities (Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Invercargill). The variation in Budyko curve characteristics is then used to describe expected changes in water storage and cooling potential in each urban area as a result of climate change. The implications of the results are then considered with respect to existing WSUD guidelines according to both the current and future climate in each location. It was concluded that calculation of Budyko curve deviation due to climate change could be calculated for any location and land-use type combination in New Zealand and could therefore be used to advance the general understanding of climate change impacts. Moreover, the approach could be used to better define the concept of urban infrastructure resilience and contribute to a better understanding of Budyko curve dynamics under climate change (questions raised by Berghuijs et al 2020)). Whilst this knowledge will assist in implementation of national climate change adaptation (MfE, 2022; UNEP, 2022) and improve climate resilience in urban areas in New Zealand, the approach could be repeated for any global location for which present and future mean precipitation and temperature conditions are known.

In this paper, potential field algorithm was used for path planning in dynamic environment. This algorithm is used to plan a robot path because of its elegant mathematical analysis and simplicity. However, there are some problems. The problems are problem of collision risk, problem of avoidance path, problem of time consumption. In order to solve these problems, we fused potential field with fuzzy system. The input of the fuzzy system is set using relative velocity and location of robot and obstacle. The output of the fuzzy system is set using the weighting factor of repulsive potential function. The potential field algorithm is improved by using fuzzy potential field algorithm and, path planning in various environment has been done.

The role of the library is as a public institution that provides academic information to a variety of people, including students, the general public, and researchers. These days, as the importance of lifelong education is emphasized, libraries are evolving beyond simply storing and lending materials to complex cultural spaces that share knowledge and information through various educational programs and cultural events. One of the problems library user's faces is locating books to borrow. This problem occurs because of errors in the location of borrowed books due to delays in updating library databases related to borrowed books, incorrect labeling, and books temporarily located in different locations. The biggest problem is that it takes a long time for users to search for the books they want to borrow. In this paper, we propose a system that visually displays the location of books in real time using an AI vision sensor and LED. The AI vision sensor-based book location guidance system generates a QR code containing the call number of the borrowed book. When the AI vision sensor recognizes this QR code, the exact location of the book is visually displayed through LED to guide users to find it easily. We believe that the AI vision sensor-based book location guidance system dramatically improves book search and management efficiency, and this technology is expected to have great potential for use not only in libraries and bookstores but also in a variety of other fields.
In this study, we presented a novel method to calculate unknown voltages on the floating electrodes introduced in a unit pixel of TFT-LCDs using three-dimensional molecular director simulation. For the simulation of the potential distribution profiles generated under the influence of the floating electrodes, we used the floating boundary condition on the surface enclosing the floating electrodes. The constraint for the floating boundary condition was derived from the charge neutrality condition about the floating electrodes disconnected from voltage sources. For the pixel with the floating electrodes patterned between the pixel and the data electrodes, we simulated the molecular director and the potential distribution in three-dimension, and then observed the location of the disclination lines around the edge of the pixel electrode. As a result, it was revealed that the floating electrodes significantly affect the electro-optical characteristics such as the location of the disclination line.

The objectives of the study were 1) to make the reasonable standard, 2) to select the objective and scientific method and process for the location-allocation of a new provincial capital city. The Main standard of location-allocation were suggested as follows ; 1) Integration of province 2) Convenience of Administration service 3) Accomodations of new provincial capital city 4) Balanced development by region. The validity of location-allocation were reviewed the population potentials and nodal accessibilities. The population potential was examined to find the maximum point of administrative demand, and the locationallocation model was examined to find the minimum point of the aggregated travel-cost to a proposed provincial government office. The nodal accessibilities measured in travel-time distance and actual values. Two major concerns in locating public facilities are efficiency and equity.

Unsafe behavior is one of the major causes of construction accidents. Managing the behavior of workers in real-time is difficult and requires huge manpower. In this paper, a new real-time locating framework is proposed to improve safety management by collecting and analyzing data describing the behavior of workers to identify habits that may lead to accidents. The aim of the study is to identify working habits of workers based on their location history. Location data is used to compare with that of other workers and equipment. The results indicate that the reuse of real-time location data can provide extra safety information for safety management and that the proposed system has the potential to prevent struck-by accidents and caught-in between accidents by predicting unwanted interaction between workers and equipment. This adds to current research aimed at automating construction safety to the point where the continuous monitoring, managing and protection of site workers on site is possible.
Studies on the optimal location of retail store have been made in case of no obstacle(Minagawa etal. 1999). This paper deals with the location problem of retail store considering obstacles (e.g. rivers, railways, highways, etc.) and obstacle-overcoming points (e.g. bridges, railway crossings, zebra crossings, overpasses, etc.). We assume that (1) commercial goods dealt here are typically convenience goods, (2) the population is granted as potential demand, (3) the apparent demand is a function of the maximum migration length and the distance from the store to customers, (4) the scale of a store is same in every place and (5) there is no competitor. First, we construct the basic model of customers' behavior considering obstacles and obstacle-overcoming points. Analyzing the two dimensional model, the arbitrary force attracting customers is represented as a height of a cone where the retail store is located on the center. Second, we formulate the total demand of customers and determine the optimal location that maximizes the total demand. Finally, the properties of the optimal location are investigated by simulation.

Process capability indices (PCls) have been widely used in manufacturing industries to provide a quantitative measure of process potential and performance. The previous studies have measured only one location on each part in the case of single variate. To calculate the reliable process capability, a couple of measuring locations on each part are required. In this paper, we propose a new system process capability index $SC_{pm}$ (m) which is the minimum value of the location PCls.

This paper discusses the design of location optimization visualization and feasibility of 3 dimensional visualization techniques. In generic GIS visualization of location analysis, 2 dimensional visualization techniques have been used to map location elements and model solution, such as displaying demand and supply points, drawing connecting lines(e. g. spider line) of optimal locations to their demands, and representing density of location variations. Nevertheless, current GIS and location analysis literatures have little attentions in 3D visualization applications for location optimization problems. Previous research has been neglected 3D visualization of solution performances and its evaluation of solution quality. Consequently, this paper demonstrates potential benefits of 3D visualization techniques and its appropriate GIS applications for location optimization analysis. The visualization effectiveness of 3D approaches is examined in terms of spatial accessibility, and solution performance of optimal location models is evaluated. Finally, this paper proposes extensive 3D visualization perspectives for location analysis and GIS research as a further research agenda.
Purpose: The neural processing of children with overweight/obesity (CWO), may affect their eating behavior. We investigated the visual information processing of CWO under response control condition, by event-related potential (ERP) study, an electrophysiologic study for cognitive mechanism. Methods: Seventeen CWO (mean age: $10.6{\pm}1.9$), and 17 age-matched non-obese children (NOC), participated in the study. Neurocognitive function tests and visual ERP under Go/NoGo conditions, were implemented. Area amplitudes of major ERP components (P1, N1, P2, N2, and P3) from four scalp locations (frontal, central, parietal, and occipital), were analyzed. Results: For Go and NoGo conditions, CWO had significantly greater occipital P1, frontocentral N1, and P2 amplitudes compared with NOC. P2 amplitude was significantly greater in CWO, than in NOC, at the frontal location. N2 amplitude was not significantly different, between CWO and NOC. For CWO and NOC, Go P3 amplitude was highest at the parietal location, and NoGo P3 amplitude was highest at the frontal location. In Go and NoGo conditions, P3 amplitude of CWO was significantly less than in NOC. Conclusion: The greater P1, N1, and P2 suggested hyper-vigilance to visual stimuli of CWO, but the smaller P3 suggested insufficient mental representation of them. Such altered visual processing, may affect the eating behavior of CWO.
