IoT is collection of different "things" which are associated with open web. As all the things are connected to the Internet, it offers convenience to end users for accessing the resources from "Any Where, Any Time" throughout the globe. At the same time, open nature of IoT provides a fertile ground to an intruder for launching different security related threats. If we can no apply proper security safeguards to the IoT System, then it will be not useful to society. Authentication, Encryption, Trust Management and Secure Routing are different domains to offer security in IoT system. Among them, Authentication is very much important security service as it validates device identity before granting access to system services/ resources. Existing IoT Authentication algorithms are fail to verify device identity in unambiguous way. They are vulnerable to different security threats such as Key Stolen threat, MITM threat and Location Spoofing threat. So, it is a demand of time to design an efficient and secure Multi-factor IoT algorithm which can offer better security and validate device identity in unambiguous way.
In past few years, distributed hash table (DHT)-based P2P systems have been proven to be a promising way to manage decentralized index information and provide efficient lookup services. However, the skewness of users' preferences regarding keywords contained in a multi-keyword query causes a query load imbalance that combines both routing and response load. This imbalance means long file retrieval latency that negatively influences the overall system performance. Although index replication has a great potential for alleviating this problem, existing schemes did not explicitly address it or incurred high cost. To overcome this issue, we propose, in this paper, an integrated solution that consists of three replication schemes to alleviate query load imbalance while minimizing the cost. The first scheme is an active index replication that is used in order to decrease routing load in the system and to distribute response load of an index among peers that store replicas of the index. The second scheme is a proactive pointer replication that places location information of each index to a predetermined number of peers for reducing maintenance cost between the index and its replicas. The third scheme is a passive index replication that guarantees the maximum query load of peers. The result of simulations indicates that the proposed schemes can help alleviate the query load imbalance of peers. Moreover, it was found by comparison that our schemes are more cost-effective on placing replicas than PCache and EAD.

Geographic forwarding algorithms을 사용하는 Georouting protocol에서는 route maintenance을 위해서 고정된 주기마다 beacon message을 이웃노드에 전송하는 fixed periodical beacon based route algorithm을 사용하여 mobile node 정보를 습득한다.

In this paper, we propose a new location service and location-based routing for data dissemination from a source to a mobile group sink in less energy consumption of the sensor node. Unlike the existing protocols, the proposed protocol uses a leader sink instead of a group area as the location information to represent a mobile sink group. The proposed protocol also uses grid leaders on virtual grid structure to support sink mobility in location service. By using a leader sink as a representative and grid leaders for mobility supporting, the proposed protocol can exploit an efficient hierarchical location service and data dissemination method without using flooding. Accordingly, the proposed protocol carries out upper layer location services and data dissemination between a leader sink and a source and lower layer location services and data dissemination between the leader sink and member sinks. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed protocol achieves energy-efficiency.
Geocasting, a variant of the conventional multicasting problem, is one of communication type in which the data packets are delivered to a group of all nodes within a specified geographical region (i.e., the geocasting region) and is called location-based multicasting(LBM)(l). An Ad-hoc network is a dynamically reconfigurable and temporary wireless network where all mobile devices using batteries as energy resources cooperatively maintain network connectivity without central administration or the assistance of base stations. Consequently, the technique to efficiently consume the limited amounts of energy resources is an important problem so that the system lifetime is maximized. In this paper, we propose a LBPA(Location-Based Power Aware) geocasting algorithm that selects energy-aware neighbor to route a packet towards the target region In Ad-hoc network environments. The method Is such that the energy consumption is balanced among the nodes in proportion to their energy reserves. Through the simulations, the proposed LBPA algorithm shows better results, that is, as good as 40% on the average over the conventional LBM algorithm in terms of the network lifetime.

In order to sufficiently utilize the potential effectiveness of ATM networks, systematic and effective network management and control systems must be employed. In addition to network design, planning, and call routing techniques used in traditional circuit-switched networks. ATM networks can provide logical VP(Virtual Path) reconfiguration capabilities which can adapt to changes in the network environment. With a proper application of the VP reconfiguration technique, ATM networks can reduce the overhead of frequent network redesign and the overhead of call routing processing. However, ATM VP reconfiguration is a very complex and difficult problem which consists of many facets of optimization subproblems such as VP routing. VP sizing, VP terminating point location and VC routing. Most previous research on the ATM logical network reconfiguration problem dealt with the subset of the problem. This paper mathematically formulates the ATM network reconfiguration problem completely considering all subproblems. Since it is very difficult to derive the optimal solution of the formulated problem, we develop a heuristic method based on a Max min bandwidth allocation principle. We show the feasibility of the proposed heuristic method with a simple example.

Recently, developments in the field of communication and network technologies induced new paradigm in the defense weapon system. As a consequence, military authorities develop the Tactical Information Communication Network(TICN) system to adapt to the changing paradigm. One of the most important functions of TICN is real-time communication. As a result, TICN system needs to receive real-time information from the battlefield, and the key technology to support these features is MANET(Mobile Ad-Hoc Network) routing protocol. In this paper, we analyze problems of the shortest path scheme in tactical Ad-Hoc networks, which is widely used in common Ad-Hoc networks. We propose efficient routing protocol for tactical MANET by considering the environment of small combat units, such as node position, speed and data size. The proposed algorithm shows reliable data transfer and low latency in battlefield.

In this paper, we propose a Route Stability-based Direction Guided Routing protocol(RSDGR) in mobile ad-hoc wireless networks. The main features and contributions of the proposed routing protocol are as follows. First, it can calculate link stability between two nodes as well as route stability of multi hop quantitatively by using nodes' mobility. And this protocol can establish the most stable path between a source node and a destination node. Second, according to the route stability between a source node and a destination node, it can control and optimize the direction guided region dynamically for route setup. Third, we suggest theoretical model for quantitative calculation of link stability between two nodes and route stability of multi hop path. The performance evaluation of the proposed routing protocol is performed by simulation using OPNET(Optimized Network Engineering Tool) and theoretical analysis. The results of performance evaluation show that the patterns of PDR are similar in simulation and analysis according to route stability. The faster mobile nodes' velocity and the smaller source node's direct guided reigion, the lower route stability and PDR and the higher delay and control overhead related to this.
Conventional topology-based routing protocols are not suitable for inter-vehicular communication, where frequent route updates are necessary due to continuous and abrupt changes in network topology Position-based routing protocols are widely accepted to better serve their purpose in such a scenario as they do not require path discovery or maintenance. However they have to deal with the overhead of the location service and inaccurate position information. This paper proposes the MMFP (Multi-hop MAC Forwarding Protocol) for inter-vehicle communication that relies on reachability information collected from received packets in making a forwarding decision without path discovery. The MMFP is designed as an extension to the IEEE 802.11 MAC layer to ensure accuracy in its time-critical operations. This paper also presents some simulation results that demonstrate the superior performance of the MMFP over AODV in a realistic inter-vehicular communication.
An advanced and proactive response mechanism against diverse attacks on All-IP network should be proposed for enhancing its security and reliability on open network. There are two main research works related to this study. First one is the SPIE system with hash function on Bloom filter and second one is the Sinkhole routing mechanism using BGP protocol for verifying its transmission path. Therefore, advanced traceback and network management mechanism also should be necessary on All-IP network environments against DDoS attacks. In this study, we studied and proposed a new IP traceback mechanism on All-IP network environments based on existing SPIE and Sinkhole routing model when diverse DDoS attacks would be happen. Proposed mechanism has a Manager module for controlling the regional router with using packet monitoring and filtering mechanism to trace and find the attack packet's real transmission path. Proposed mechanism uses simplified and optimized memory for storing and memorizing the packet's hash value on bloom filter, with which we can find and determine the attacker's real location on open network. Additionally, proposed mechanism provides advanced packet aggregation and monitoring/control module based on existing Sinkhole routing method. Therefore, we can provide an optimized one in All-IP network by combining the strength on existing two mechanisms. And the traceback performance also can be enhanced compared with previously suggested mechanism.
