Several estimation methods used in the range measurement based wireless localization area have individual problems. These problems may not occur according to certain application areas. However, these problems may give rise to serious problems in particular applications. In this paper, three methods, ILS (Iterative Least Squares), DS (Direct Solution), and DSRM (Difference of Squared Range Measurements) methods are considered. Problems that can occur in these methods are defined and a simple hybrid solution is presented to solve them. The ILS method is the most frequently used method in wireless localization and has local minimum problems and a large computational burden compared with closed-form solutions. The DS method requires less processing time than the ILS method. However, a solution for this method may include a complex number caused by the relations between the location of reference nodes and range measurement errors. In the near-field region of the complex solution, large estimation errors occur. In the DSRM method, large measurement errors occur when the mobile node is far from the reference nodes due to the combination of range measurement error and range data. This creates the problem of large localization errors. In this paper, these problems are defined and a hybrid localization method is presented to avoid them by integrating the DS and DSRM methods. The defined problems are confirmed and the performance of the presented method is verified by a Monte-Carlo simulation.
The crevice corrosion of local corrosion occur when the gap exist on metal surface. This crevice corrosion happen to region such as flange of pipe, contact part of casing, under gasket and packing, between valve disk and seat of pump etc. Especially The crevice corrosion of mild steel(SS 400) get serious. This paper was studied on the crevice corrosion of SS 400 in fluid environment. In $0\%,\;2\%,\;3.5\%,\;5\% NaCl$ solution, the aspect of the crevice corrosion and polarization behavior under the crevice corrosion was investigated. And Weight loss rate of SS 400 with crevice and non-crevice was measured according to the NaCl concentration. The main results obtained are as follows : 1) Under crevice corrosion, the corrosion potential become less noble as the concentration of NaCl solution increased. 2) The current density under open circuit potential was high drained as concentration of NaCl solution increased by $3.5\%$ but the concentration increased over $3.5\%$, the current density was low drained. 3) The weight loss rate of SS 400 was increased as concentration of NaCl solution Increased by $3.5\%$, but the concentration increased over $3.5\%$, that of SS 400 was decreased. 4) Effect of oxygen for crevice corrosion in the concentration of $3.5\%$ NaCl solution become sensitive than that $0\%$ NaCl solution.
This investigation deals with the spin-up flows in a circular container of aspect ratio, 2.0. Shear front is generated in the transient spin-up process and propagating from the side wall to the central axis in a rotating container. Propagation of the shear front to the axis in a rotating container means the region acquires an angular momentum transfer from the solid walls. Propagating speed of the shear front depends on the apparent viscosity of polymer solution. Two kinds of polymer solutions are considered as a working fluid: one is CMC and the other is CTAB solution. CMC solution has larger apparent viscosity than that of water, and CTAB shows varying apparent viscosities depending on the applied shear rates. Transient and spatial variations of the apparent viscosities of the present polymer solutions (CTAB and CMC) cause different speeds of the propagating shear front. In practice, CMC solution that has larger values of apparent viscosity than that of water always shows rapid approach to the steady state in comparison of the behavior of the flows with water. However, for the CTAB solution, the speed of the propagating of the shear front changes with the local magnitude of its apparent viscosity. Consequently, the prediction of Wedemeyer's model quantitatively agrees with the present experimental results.

In this paper is presented the solution method for three-dimensional problem of transversely isotropic body's elastoplastic deformation by the finite element method (FEM). The process of problem solution consists of: determining the effective parameters of a transversely isotropic medium; construction of the finite element mesh of the body configuration, including the determination of the local minimum value of the tape width of non-zero coefficients of equation systems by using of front method; constructing of the stiffness matrix coefficients and load vector node components of the equation for an individual finite element's state according to the theory of small elastoplastic deformations for a transversely isotropic medium; the formation of a resolving symmetric-tape system of equations by summing of all state equations coefficients summing of all finite elements; solution of the system of symmetric-tape equations systems by means of the square root method; calculation of the body's elastoplastic stress-strain state by performing the iterative process of the initial stress method. For each problem solution stage, effective computational algorithms have been developed that reduce computational operations number by modifying existing solution methods and taking into account the matrix coefficients structure. As an example it is given, the problem solution of fibrous composite straining in the form of a rectangle with a system of circular holes.
An analytical solution is presented for the conduction-dominated solidification of a binary mixture in a semi-infinite medium. The present approach differs from that of other solution by these four characteristics. (1) Solid fraction is determined from the phase diagram, (2) thermophysical properties in mushy zone are weighted according to the local solid fraction, (3) non-equilibrium solidification can be simulated and (4) the cooling condition of under-eutectic temperature can be simulated. Up to now, almost all analyses are based on the assumption of constant properties in mushy zone and solid fraction linearly with temperature or length. The validation for these assumptions, however, shows that serious error is found except some special cases. The influence of microscopic model on the macroscopic temperature profile is very small and can be ignored. But the solid fraction and average solid concentration which directly influence the quality of materials are drastically changed by the microscopic models. An approximate solution using the method of weighted residuals is also introduced and shows good agreement with the analytical solution. All calculations are performed for NH$_{4}$Cl-H$_{2}$O and Al-Cu system.
This study incorporates a high-fidelity transient analysis solver based on multigroup CMFD in the MOC code STREAM. Transport modeling with heterogeneous geometries of the reactor core increases computational cost in terms of memory and time, whereas the multigroup CMFD reduces the computational cost. The reactor condition does not change at every time step, which is a vital point for the utilization of CMFD. CMFD correction factors are updated from the transport solution whenever the reactor core condition changes, and the simulation continues until the end. The transport solution is adjusted once CMFD achieves the solution. The flux-weighted method is used for rod decusping to update the partially inserted control rod cell material, which maintains the solution's stability. A smaller time-step size is needed to obtain an accurate solution, which increases the computational cost. The adaptive step-size control algorithm is robust for controlling the time step size. This algorithm is based on local errors and has the potential capability to accept or reject the solution. Several numerical problems are selected to analyze the performance and numerical accuracy of parallel computing, rod decusping, and adaptive time step control. Lastly, a typical pressurized LWR was chosen to study the rod-ejection accident.
The construction of settlement house in a permanent rental housing development area started between 1989 and 1992, planning of supplying two hundred fifty thousand residences, settlement house became compulsory as a welfare facilities. As a part of Welfare program for low income families, number of settlement housing increased dramatically, also domiciliary welfare center was beginning to set up as a branch of settlement housing to strengthen its service towards families and local communities, thus numerous social welfare organizations play a crucial part in resolving a welfare problem for low income families while satisfying local community's needs. However, despite of these efforts, the number if institutions cannot handle demand of local community's needs and number of welfare institution programs. as a solution, the alternation of space is being used, however, it did not solve basic problem, even worsen in terms of space efficiency.
The major operations of Evolutionary Computation include crossover, mutation, competition and selection. Although selection does not create new individuals like crossover or mutation, a poor selection mechanism may lead to problems such as taking a long time to reach an optimal solution or even not finding it at all. In view of this, this paper proposes a hybrid Evolutionary Programming (EP) algorithm that exhibits a strong capability to move toward the global optimum even when stuck at a local minimum using a synergistic combination of the following three basic ideas. First, a "local selection" technique is used in conjunction with the normal tournament selection to help escape from a local minimum. Second, the mutation step has been improved with respect to the Fast Evolutionary Programming technique previously developed in our research group. Finally, the crossover and mutation operations of the Genetic Algorithm have been added as a parallel independent branch of the search operation of an EP to enhance search diversity.

This paper presents the theory of similarity transformations applied to the momentum and energy equations for laminar, forced, external boundary layer flow over a horizontal flat plate which leads to a set of non-linear, ordinary differential equations of phase change material slurry(PCM Slurry). The momentum and energy equation set numerically to obtain the non-dimensional velocity and temperature profiles in a laminar boundary layer are solved. The heat transfer characteristics of PCM slurry was numerically investigated with similar method. It is clarified that the similar solution method of Newtonian fluid can be used reasonably this type of PCM slurry which has low concentration. The data of local wall heat flux and convective heat transfer coefficient of PCM slurry are higher than those of water more than 150$\~$200$\%$, approximately.
This Paper is to find out a solution for the full-coverage algorithm requiring the real-time processing such as mobile home service robots and vacuum cleaner robots. Previous methods are used by adopting based grid approach method. They used lots of sensors, a high speed CPU, expensive ranger sensors and huge memory. Besides, most full-coverage algorithms should have a map before obstacle avoidance. However, if a robot able to recognize the tangent vector of obstacles, it is able to bring the same result with less sensors and simplified hardware. Therefore, this study suggests a topological based approach and a local obstacle voidance method using a few of PSD sensors and ultra sonic sensors. The simulation results are presented to prove its applicability.
