Purpose: Despite the numerous studies on factors impacting pro-environmental behavior, actual studies analyzing a relationship between pro-environmental behavior and eco-friendly channels (e.g., local food market and farmers' market channel) usage behavior (visit and purchasing frequency) are rare. This study investigated the relationship between consumers with positive pro-environmental behavior and eco-friendly channels usage behavior. Research design, data and methodology: The study investigated the relationship between pro-environmental behavior and eco-friendly channels (local food markets and farmers market) visit behavior by analyzing data from the Korea Consumer Agency's 2021 Korea Consumption Life Index, with a focus on the pro-environmental index. Relationship between pro-environmental behavior and whether eco-friendly channels visit or not were analyzed. Demographic variables also influence eco-friendly oriented channels visit. Data analysis used hierarchical regression, firstly inputted pro-environmental behavior, and then demographic variables inputted, and finally pro-environmental behavior and demographics interactions as moderating variables inputted. Results: Consumer's with positive behavior towards pro-environment were indeed more likely to choose local food market and farmers' market compared to other consumers. Demographic variables also effect local food market visit. Some demographic variables moderate this relationship. The results, however, differed by channel type. Conclusions: Pro-environmental behavior is closely related to eco-friendly channels (local food market and farmers; market) visit.

This study was conducted to explore the change in the market issues on HMR (Home Meal Replacements) using local foods after the COVID-19 outbreak. Online text data were collected from internet news, social media posts, and web documents before (from January 2016 to December 2019) and after (from January 2020 to November 2022) the COVID-19 outbreak. TF-IDF analysis showed that 'Trend', 'Market', 'Consumption', and 'Food service industry' were the major keywords before the COVID-19 outbreak, whereas 'Wanju-gun', 'Distribution', 'Development', and 'Meal-kit' were main keywords after the COVID-19 outbreak. The results of topic modeling analysis and categorization showed that after the COVID-19 outbreak, the 'Market' category included 'Non-face-to-face market' instead of 'Event,' and 'Delivery' instead of 'Distribution'. In the 'Product' category, 'Marketing' was included instead of 'Trend'. Additionally, in the 'Support' category, 'Start-up' and 'School food service' appeared as new topics after the COVID-19 outbreak. In conclusion, this study showed that meaningful change had occurred in market issues on HMR using local foods after the COVID-19 outbreak. Therefore, governments should take advantage of such market opportunity by implementing policy and programs to promote the development and marketing of HMR using local foods.

This paper presents improvement of consumer's access and convenience to Farmers Market(Local Food Shop). We analyzed case studies and proposed plans of Local Food Shop and related facilities. The results are described below. Thorough pre-education and public relations with extensive support for agricultural products in the area and external support are necessary. Most importantly, the consuming population was close. These factors were the factors of success. Tourists' visit is effective. Consumer distance should be within 10km. Long distance tourists need a way to attract tourists on weekends. It is an advantage that there are many consumers. And it would be nice to have a market in the vicinity. And it is necessary to develop various activities such as experience activities and programs. Also, a place convenient for cooperation with the government office, public health center, etc. is good. Accessibility is enhanced when ICs of frequent highway and highway are close to cars. As a suggestion of placing a direct sales place, we will set up a place for consumers to collaborate and relax and also consider the convenience of providers. For the convenience of consumers' shopping, including sales outlets, we set up booths for daily necessities and industrial products, and place other agricultural cooperatives (NACF banks), local cafes and farmer restaurants in front. Consider multifunction combined service center for consumers and farmers.

This study also was to analyze the effects of service quality on customers' emotions, behavior intention and local performance in night market, and to provide an effective operation plan. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 16.0 Version, a statistical package program, and various results were discovered. First, all the service quality factors (convenience, food, event program, physical environment) had a positive (+) effect on positive emotion, and the service quality factors except event program had a negative (-) effect on negative emotions. Second, the service quality factors had a partially positive (+) effect on behavior intention and local performance. Third, the positive and negative emotions had a effect on behavior intention, however, the positive emotions had a positive (+) effect on local performance. Consequently, the present study confirmed that service quality in the night market is important factors for emotions, behavior intention, and local performance. Since mid of 1990's Vietnamese food had been advanced in Korea, the franchises and branches of the Vietnam food restaurant remarkably has grown in numbers. It was estimated that the number of Vietnamese food franchise was not less than 30's and the market size of food industry would be around 200 million dollars in Korea. While the interests and study on the globalization of Korean food had been recently increasing, the Southeast Asian food, especially Vietnamese food which had significantly taken place as one kind of food service had few academic approaches to research on the current situation and transition on Vietnamese food in Korea. This study is an experimental attempt to inquire for the Vietnamese food culture and the Vietnamese food in Korea. Through the field research at local(Vietnamese) restaurant, the interviews with the local residents and questionnaire survey on the Vietnamese food from Korean customers, the article examined the 'Southeast Asian Phenomena' in Korea by tracing the origins and pathway how Vietnamese food could be established in Korean food market. In addition, it tries to prove that current growth of Vietnamese food in Korea could be extend and explicated as real 'Vietnamese Phenomena'.
This study was conducted to provide the information necessary for the development of native local foods associated with the "2008 World Insect Festival in Hampyeong" and to contribute to the efforts to market the festival as tourist attraction and increase the income of the local community. To assess the local foods and restaurants, we investigated the principal products, inclination for sightseeing and recognition of the "Butterfly festival" by distributing questionnaires to local restaurant operators, employees and general tourists. The result was as follows: 1. The general tourists chose scenery as the most important factor in a sightseeing tour, followed by food, lodging, and transportation. 2. The tourists enjoyed eating native local foods, and they indicated that the taste was important. 3. Regarding the cost of food, 53.6% of the respondents answer that 10 to 20 thousand won was a resonable price, and they also reported wanting to eat seafood in Hampyeong. Thus the Menu of seafood to be served at the Hampyeong festival needs to be developed first followed by that of the healthy food. This result showed that individuals prefer fish to meat and healthy food to high-calorie foods.
The world's food production systems are becoming an area of great concern for both human and ecological health. Research has identified that one of the greatest threats to sustainability is conventional industrial agricultural systems and the high energy and material cost they require to function. The organic food movement is contributing as promising alternative to the current dominant model. Over the last 50 years it has developed into the most visible brand for a healthier and more environmentally sustainable food system. However, to achieve its full potential there are still a number of hurdles which must be overcome to make organic products a more viable and appealing option for consumers. This paper provides an overview of key research that has been conducted on why consumers are buying organic products, what they are buying and what is preventing them from purchasing more. It concludes that the key challenge is for the organic food movement to convince existing consumers of the superior 'value' of its products. In addition there are a number of methodological issues associated with analysing the market for organic products as well as issues of limited distribution, intermittent availability and high prices that are currently preventing increases in sales. Recognition and management of these barriers could contribute to more effective targeted research into consumer food purchasing motivations and subsequently the development of more sophisticated marketing strategies that assist in maintaining integrity with consumers and fending off challenges from conventional as well as other complementary food systems such as local food movement. And finally to achieve these market growth strategies the organic food movement will need to cope with its diverse constituency - ranging from global corporates through to local production and consumption - and provide attractive opportunities to individuals and business at all stages in supply chain whilst retaining credibility with government to ensure ongoing policy support.
