The objective of this research is to empirically study public servant knowledge sharing intention by implementing the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The researcher proposes an extended TPB combined with a perceived environmental concern variable as a determinant of behavioral intention. A total of 150 questionnaires were distributed among civil society and the public sector at the district level in the Central Kalimantan Province of Indonesia. Collectively, 126 inquiries were received. A Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis was applied to analyze and test the research model and hypothesis. The results show that all of the components of the TPB significantly influenced perceived SDG realization. The findings also partially show that knowledge sharing intention mediated the effect of attitude, perceived behavioral control, and perceived environmental concern on SDG realization. This study confirms that perspectives that affect knowledge sharing intention among public sectors could be approached based on the offered model. Hence, the local government can implement the suggestion offered in this research. The originality of this paper lies in the fact that this study discloses factors affecting knowledge sharing among public servants.

Thailand's tourism industry contributed to over three trillion baht in 2019. Tourist attractions across Thailand attract tourists around the world with their natural scenery, lifestyles, and cultures, especially in those called "second-tier cities". Community enterprises play a vital role to drive the tourism industry to local areas. However, most community enterprises lack professional accounting knowledge. This research aims to provide guidelines for ecotourism cost management of community enterprises in Thailand. Participatory Action Research (PAR) was employed to investigate the current circumstances of the Banlaem enterprise by using in-depth interviews to identify problems in cost management. Then, the focus and small group meetings were organized to monitor and evaluate solutions. The results reveal that the cost of VIP-Two Days trip was generating the highest net profit and margin, followed by VIP-One Day trip, but net losses were detected on the Students-One Day trip, even though income was greater than the variable costs, revenues didn't cover fixed costs. Thus, accounting knowledge could be a major concern of these enterprises. They should systematically record revenues and expenses, set appropriate labor costs, reduce production costs by using seasonal seafood and make use of vegetables in their gardens, and price products according to their production costs.

This paper investigates the impact of the domestic and global outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the trading size of the Malaysian stock (MS) market. The theoretical model posits that stock markets are affected by their response to disasters and events that arise in the international or local environments, as well as to several financial factors such as stock volatility and spread bid-ask prices. Using daily time-series data from 27 January to 12 May 2020, this paper utilizes the traditional Augmented Dickey and Fuller (ADF) technique and Zivot and Andrews with structural break' procedures for a stationarity test analysis, while the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) method is applied according to the trading size of the MS market model. The analysis considered almost all 789 listed companies investing in the main stock market of Malaysia. The results confirmed our hypotheses that both the daily growth in the active domestic and global cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) has significant negative effects on the daily trading size of the stock market in Malaysia. Although the COVID-19 has a negative effect on the Malaysian stock market, the findings of this study suggest that the COVID-19 pandemic may have an asymmetric effect on the market.

This study investigates the relationship between cultural distance and entry mode choice, where the foreign investor firm and the host country are both from emergent economies. Within this framework, research is limited and the issue is whether companies, regardless of their specific situations, have the same strategy when they meet a high degree of uncertainty in the host environment. In this study, we focused on the influence of informal institutional factors: cultural distance, that has been extensively analyzed in international business, measured by Kogut and Singh index and defined according to Hofstede, Globe Project and Schwartz approaches. The general trend derived from prior research proves that when a company from a developed country is involved; overall more enthusiasm is shown for wholly-owned subsidiaries rather than joint venture. This result still stands validated for corporations from this emergent economy area. Our analysis of a sample of 163 FDI in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) using logistic binary regression model reveals that the foreign firms prefer to establish wholly-owned subsidiaries in the host country over entering into a joint venture with a local firm, taking into consideration the large cultural distance.
Purpose: The goal of this study is to comprehensively grasp the current status of ecommerce and to use as basic data for information-related policies. In this work, we understand recent ecommerce utilization, purchasing business by main factors, and look over the association between business type on sales orders (BTSO) and three variables: region, occupation and group type. Research design, data and methodology: The resource of this research is obtained by Ministry of Science and Technology Information and Communication in 2017, and investigated about 14,000 national business samples. Two statistical methods are used to analyze the association between the three variables: chi-square test and correspondence analysis. Results: The findings show that BTSO is pairwise associated with thee categorical variables, and the association between the categories of the two variables can be visually examined on two dimensional plane. Conclusions: This study suggests 'household & individual consumers' among BTSO are closely connected with 'Chungbuk' and 'Kyungnam' for region, 'others', 'finance & insurance' and 'association, repairing & other personal service' for occupation, and 'national & local government' for group type. Additionally, 'other companies' among BTSO are, particularly, related to 'Chunnam' for region, 'manufacturing industry' for occupation, and 'company corporations' for group type.

Strategic management of universities is crucial for the regional competitiveness due to the high impact of universities on the economic growth of regions through entrepreneurial training and support. The study aimed to investigate the HEInnovate self-assessment tool, valuable in building entrepreneurship-oriented strategy, by considering the case of Turan University. The tool can be used to study entrepreneurial capabilities of the university and make strong management decisions. The self-assessment allows getting feedback from all stakeholders, including external ones, which helps to make institutional changes to influence the regional economic growth. The framework of the research is based on the theories of strategic management and regional competitiveness, which can be deployed with the HEInnovate self-assessment recommendations and findings. The research methodology comprises objective and functional approaches to system analysis. HEInnovate self-assessment by Turan university revealed some weaknesses in the university strategy and helped make some recommendations, namely, the university's entrepreneurial ecosystem must act as part of a regional business support ecosystem to provide input into local economic development, attract more international faculty and faculty with more practical experience, create an entrepreneurial culture across staff of the university, address a lack of internal structures to support staff, and improve university-business cooperation.
Capital inflows have a strong presence that influences destination countries' development of institutions, which can in turn help resuscitate a stopped economy and re-attract capital that was lost during crises such as the recent public health crisis. While the previous literature emphasizes the mechanism that foreign investors press or even threaten the local government for change, this paper explores empirically whether institutional improvement can be achieved through the channel that host countries voluntarily reform institutions in anticipation of potential investments predicted by the exogenous geographical and cultural characteristics of the recipient countries. Given that countries with better institutional quality can accumulate larger FDI stocks, we still find that the need for more FDI, in contrast to FPI and debt, gives higher incentives to host countries to strategically improve their institutions before seeking capital overseas. Moreover, the predicted FDI exerts more prominent impacts on institutions on constraining elite than those involved in launching a business, enforcing contracts, and protecting properties. The results imply that a long-run plan for upgrading elite constraint institutions is crucial for a post-pandemic FDI reboot.

The goal of this research is to see how closely accounting programs in Saudi Arabian colleges comply with the International Accounting Education Standards (IESs). Further, it aims to assess the level of awareness and knowledge of IESs among accounting academics and to examine the possible explanatory factors for their variation. A structured questionnaire was sent to accounting faculty members at 37 Saudi universities. Out of 541 distributed questionnaires, a total of 102 usable responses were received from 26 universities. The findings show that accounting programs in Saudi universities are partially compliant with the guidelines of IESs and accounting academics in those universities are moderately aware of IESs. High variation in the level of academics' knowledge of IESs was detected and was significantly influenced by industry work experience, academic ranks, and professional qualification. The findings of this study suggest that Saudi Universities should work closely with the local and international accounting professional bodies, i.e. the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) and the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) to improve accounting programs based on the guidelines of IESs to cope with the recent changes in the capital market of the kingdom and the adoption of the International Financial Reporting Standards.

The study aimed to determine the impact of societal participation on the customer loyalty of Saudi banks and identify the statistical differences in customer loyalty according to sex, age, education level, and occupation type. The independent variable is corporate societal participation, and the dependent represents customer loyalty. Corporate societal programs have two dimensions: social participation and philanthropic participation. The research population consists of Saudi workers in three sectors: government, military, and private reached 3.58 million people in 2021. The unit of analysis is the Saudi employee in one formal industry and dealing with the Saudi banks that offered corporate societal participation programs. The research used the appropriate stratified sampling method, and the recommended sample size reached 387 respondents. A fully structured questionnaire is used. The study concluded that corporate social programs have not impacted customer loyalty, while corporate philanthropy programs strongly affected customer loyalty. On the other hand, there are no differences in customer loyalty according to demographics (sex, age, education, and occupation type). Finally, the study presents a set of recommendations in the field of corporate social responsibility and develops the local communities.

This study aims to analyze the economies of scale of the cottage industry for coconut sugar production in Banyumas, Indonesia. This study applies a survey method to coconut sugar craftsmen. Data analysis was performed by regression analysis based on the Cobb-Douglas production function approach. The findings indicated that decreasing returns to scale was a problem for the domestic production of coconut sugar. These findings show that the production of coconut sugar is not very productive. Labor and financial capital inputs have a significant positive share but the resulting increase in output is less proportional than the increase in the two inputs. Social capital, experience, and education do not affect industrial performance. To increase input productivity and production efficiency, it is necessary to apply more effective production techniques and technologies to produce quality products so that the selling price can be higher. Additionally, it is required to enhance the sap's quality through its extraction methods and the regrowth of high-yielding coconut tree varieties. From the institutional aspect, the development of this industry requires stronger partnerships with related parties such as local governments, exporting companies, cooperatives, and universities through research and development.
