AE를 이용한 탄소섬유시트 강화 모르타르의 파괴거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Failure Behavior of Carbon Fiber Sheet Reinforced Mortar Using Acoustic Emission Technique)

  • It was well recognized that the damages associated mainly with the aging of civil infrastructures were one of very serious problems for assurance of safety and reliability. Recently carbon fiber sheet(CFS) has been widely used for reinforcement and rehabilitation of damaged concrete beam. However, the fundamental mechanism of load transfer and its load-resistant for carbon fiber sheet reinforced concrete are not fully understood. In this study, three point bending test has been carried out to understand the damage progress and the micro-failure mechanism of CFS reinforced mortars. For this purpose, four different types of specimens are used, that is, mortar, steel bar reinforced mortar, CFS reinforced mortar, and steel bar and CFS reinforced morter. Acoustic Emission(AE) technique was used to evaluate the characteristics of damage progress and the failure mechanism of specimens. in addition, two-dimensional AE source location was also performed to monitor crack initiation and propagation processes for these specimens.

A New Adaptive Load Sharing Mechanism in Homogeneous Distributed Systems Using Genetic Algorithm

  • Load sharing is a critical resource in computer system. In sender-initiated load sharing algorithms, the sender continues to send unnecessary request messages for load transfer until a receiver is found while the system load is heavy. Meanwhile, in the receiver initiated load sharing algorithms, the receiver continues to send an unnecessary request message for load acquisition until a sender is found while the system load is light. These unnecessary request messages result in inefficient communications, low CPU utilization, and low system throughput in distributed systems. To solve these problems, we propose a genetic algorithm based approach for improved sender-initiated and receiver-initiated load sharing in distributed systems. And we expand this algorithm to an adaptive load sharing algorithm. Compared with the conventional sender-initiated and receiver-initiated algorithms, the proposed algorithm decreases the response time and task processing time.

풍화암 지반에 설치된 소구경말뚝의 거동에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Behavior of Miscopiles installed in Weathered Weak Rock)

  • In this study compressive and tensile load tests have been performed to investigate reinforcing effect and load transfer mechanism of small diameter piles installed in the foundation soil for the marine suspension bridge. Load tests were carried out on steel plate with diameters of 50cm, 100cm and 150cm varying loads starting from 39 tons up to 314 tons. Small diameter piles were proved to behavior like as friction piles and loads were not transmitted to the bottom of piles. From pull-out tests, the uplift capacity of small diameter piles was largely influenced by reinforcing materials compared to frictional resistance between piles and adjacent soils. The bearing capacity of small diameter piles appeared to be higher than the ultimate bearing capacity evaluated using static formulae. The load carrying capacity of small diameter piles was superior to the bored piles with a similar size. Thus, ultimate bearing capacity estimated from static formulae can provide conservative designs and thereby resulting in economic disadvantages. A further study to accumulate data regarding various soil conditions is recommended for an improved estimation of bearing capacity of piles with small diameter.

차량용 휠체어 이송수납메커니즘의 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on Development of Wheelchair Transfer-Storage Mechanism for Car)

  • 본 연구에서 제안된 차량용 휠체어 수송메커니즘은 크게 이송메커니즘과 수납메커니즘으로 구성된다. 여기서 휠체어 이송메커니즘은 매니퓰레이터로 구성되며, 차량의 루프에 설치되어 운전석에서 트렁크의 위치까지 휠체어를 이송하는 기능을 한다. 휠체어 수납메커니즘은 리프팅 호이스트로 구성되며, 차량의 트렁크에 설치되어 이송된 휠체어를 트렁크 내부로 수납하고 안전하게 고정하는 기능을 한다. 본 연구에서는 휠체어 이송메커니즘의 조건을 고려한 매니퓰레이터의 방식선정을 위해 수직방식, 수평방식, 텔레스코픽방식 등에 대하여 분석하고 검토하여 하중지지에 강하고 수납보관에 유리한 텔레스코픽방식을 선정하여 적용하였다. 또한 휠체어 수납메커니즘에서는 슬라이드 레일과 리프트와이어에 의한 슬라이드 호이스트방식과 웜기어와 링크로 구성된 회전메커니즘에 의한 회전링크 호이스트방식에 대하여 분석하고 검토하여 트렁크 공간 활용에 유리한 슬라이드 호이스트방식을 선정하여 적용하였다. 본 연구에서 제안된 차량용 휠체어 이송메커니즘은 기존의 휠체어 이용자 이동지원을 위한 차량용 휠체어 이송시스템의 단점을 해소하고 국내 장애인복지차량 구조에 부합하도록 제안하였다.

MATRIX형 세라믹 열교환기 코아의 열전단 및 열응력해석 (The Heat Transfer and Thermal Stress Analysis on the Ceramic Core of the Matrix-type Recuperator)

  • The heat transfer and thermal stress analysis was performed on the ceramic core of the matrix-type recuperator. The efficiency was calculated as 34% to 65%. Triple-pass arrangement provided higher preheated air temperatures, lower thermal stresses and the increase of pressure drops. Higher temperature gradients and maximum peak stresses appeared on the corners of the ceramic core. The effect of boundary conditions was significant and the use of spring-load sealing mechanism could release thermal stresses.

Investigation of shear transfer mechanisms in repaired damaged concrete columns strengthened with RC jackets

  • The study presents the results of an experimental program concerning the shear force transfer between reinforced concrete (RC) jackets and existing columns with damages. In order to investigate the effectiveness of the repair method applied and the contribution of each shear transfer mechanism of the interface. It includes 22 concrete columns (core) (of 24,37MPa concrete strength) with square section (150mm side, 500 mm height and scale 1:2). Ten columns had initial construction damages and twelve were subjected to initial axial load. Sixteen columns have full jacketing at all four faces with 80mm thickness (of 31,7MPa concrete strength) and contain longitudinal bars (of 500MPa nominal strength) and closed stirrups spaced at 25mm, 50mm or 100mm (of 220MPa nominal strength). Fourteen of them contain dowels at the interface between old and new concrete. All columns were subjected to repeated (pseudo-seismic) axial compression with increasing deformation cycles up to failure with or without jacketing. Two load patterns were selected to examine the difference of the behavior of columns. The effects of the initial damages, of the reinforcement of the interface (dowels) and of the confinement generated by the stirrups are investigated through axial- deformation (slip) diagrams and the energy absorbed diagrams. The results indicate that the initial damages affect the total behavior of the column and the capacity of the interface to shear mechanisms and to slip: a) the maximum bearing load of old column is decreased affecting at the same time the loading capacity of the jacketed element, b) suitable repair of initially damaged specimens increases the capacity of the jacketed column to transfer load through the interface.

풍화지반에 근입된 마이크로파일의 하중전이곡선 추정을 위한 경험식 개발 (Development of an Empirical Equation for Estimating Lond Transfer Curve for Micropile in Weathered Soils)

  • 최근 사용이 증가 추세에 있음에도 불구하고 마이크로파일의 하중전이곡선에 관한 연구는 매우 미미한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내지반 및 시공조건이 반영된 실물크기의 시험말뚝에 대한 현장시험을 실시하여 마이크로파일의 주면하중전이곡선을 산정하는 경험식을 제안하였다. 말뚝재하시험 결과로부터 깊이별 하중전이곡선을 구하고, 이를 쌍곡선 함수형태로 전환 시킨 후, 하중전이함수와 지반의 표준관입시험 저항치(N)와의 관계를 정립하였다. 이러한 일련의 과정을 거친 결과를 토대로 유한차분법과 문헌자료를 활용하여 개발된 하중전이함수로부터 풍화토에서 마이크로파일의 주면마찰력을 추정할 수 있음을 평가하였다.

용접 철골 모멘트접합부의 응력전달 메커니즘 재평가 (Re-evaluation of Force Transfer Mechanism of Welded Steel Moment Connections)

  • 용접 철골 모멘트접합부는 일반적으로 평면유지의 가정을 전제한 초등휨이론에 의해 설계되어 왔다. 그러나 1994년 노스리지 지진 이후 보-기둥 접합부의 설계에 초등휨이론을 적용하는 것은 타당치 않음이 몇몇 연구자에 의해 제기된 바가 있다. 본 연구에서는 필자의 최근 해석 및 실험연구를 주 근거로 하여 다양한 형식의 접합부의 응력전달 메커니즘을 재평가하고, 거의 모든 용접 모멘트접합부의 설계에 초등휨이론을 적용하는 것이 부적절함을 보이고자 하였다. 보의 웨브, 수평헌치의 웨브, 리브 등과 같은 수직 플레이트 접합요소는 모두 스트럿 작용에 의해 응력을 전달하는 유사성이 있음을 해석적, 실험적으로 확인하였다. 또한 최근 가장 큰 주목을 받고 있는 고연성 RBS 접합부의 전단력 응력전달 메커니즘은 PN형식 접합부의 그것과 크게 다르지 않음을 확인하였다. 아울러 접합부 설계에 유용하게 활용될 수 있는 단순화된 해석적 응력전달 모형을 소개하였다.

공동이 존재하는 암반에 시공된 말뚝기초의 하중지지 메카니즘에 관한 수치해석 연구 (Numerical Investigation on Load Supporting Mechanism of a Pile Constructed above Underground Cavity)

  • 본 연구에서는 3차원 유한요소해석을 이용하여 석회공동형성 암반에 시공된 말뚝기초의 하중지지 메카니즘 변화를 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 공동의 기하학적 조건을 변화시키며 말뚝기초의 극한지지력, 지반의 항복형태, 말뚝과 공동 주위의 응력분포 및 말뚝기초의 침하와 공동의 변형 등 해석결과를 고찰하여 말뚝기초의 역학적 거동을 검토하였다. 본 연구결과, 말뚝의 하중지지 메카니즘, 지반의 파괴형태 및 말뚝기초의 극한지지력 감소율은 공동의 기하조건에 의해 결정되며 이러한 경향을 토대로 공동의 특정조건에 대한 말뚝의 극한지지력 감소율 그래프를 제시하였다.

Efficiency Enhancement of Wireless Power Transfer with Optimum Coupling Mechanism for Mid-range Operation

  • This paper depicts the design, implementation and analysis of efficient resonant based wireless power transfer (WPT) technique using three magnetic coupled coils. This work is suitable for mid ranged device due to small form factor while minimizing the loading effect. A multi turned loop size resonator is exploited for both the transmitter and receiver for longer distance. In this paper, class-E power amplifier (class-E PA) is introduced with an optimum power tracking mechanism of WPT system to enhance the power capability at mid-range with a flat gain. A robust method of finding optimum distance is derived with an experimental analysis of the designed system. In this method, the load sensitive issue of WPT is resolved by tuning coupling coefficient at considerable distances. Our designed PA with a drain efficiency of 77.8% for a maximum output of 5W is used with adopted tuning technique that improves the overall WPT system performance by 3 dB at various operating points.
