Numerical study on the walking load based on inverted-pendulum model

  • In this paper, an inverted-pendulum model consisting of a point supported by spring limbs with roller feet is adopted to simulate human walking load. To establish the kinematic motion of first and second single and double support phases, the Lagrangian variation method was used. Given a set of model parameters, desired walking speed and initial states, the Newmark-${\beta}$ method was used to solve the above kinematic motion for studying the effects of roller radius, stiffness, impact angle, walking speed, and step length on the ground reaction force, energy transfer, and height of center of mass transfer. The numerical simulation results show that the inverted-pendulum model for walking is conservative as there is no change in total energy and the duration time of double support phase is 50-70% of total time. Based on the numerical analysis, a dynamic load factor ${\alpha}_{wi}$ is proposed for the traditional walking load model.

  • In this paper, the vibrations of floor systems of which buildings are under construction are studied by experimental and analysis method. The first step is to measure the operational response data and FRF at the supporting points of the utility and the second step is to calculate the dynamic load by TPA Method which provided by LMS VirtualLab System Analysis Module. The dynamics we used to identify is expressed by below equation; $$\{F_{oper}\}=[H]^{-1}\;{\cdot}\;\{{.. \atop x_{oper}}\}$$ Where, H(Transfer function between position of the force and response) and x(response) are measured by vibration test.

  • This paper presents the analysis result of load-transfer mechanism and pile movements associated with the development of frictional resistance to understand the engineering characteristics of micropile behavior. An field load tests were performed for two different types of micropiles and they are (i) thread bar reinforcement with D=50mm and (ii) hollow steel pipe reinforcement with $D_{out}$=82.5mm and $D_{in}$=60.5mm and wrapped with woven geotextile for post-grouting. The load test results indicated that micropiling with pressured grouting provided better load-transfer characteristics than micropiling with gravity grouting under both compressive and tensile loading conditions in that unit skin frictional resistance is well distributed along installation depth. The unit weight and unconfined compressive strength of cured grout were obtained for each piling method. The strength and unit weight of micropile with pressured grouting was higher than those with gravity grouting. The fact that load bearing quality with pressured grouting is better than that of gravity grouting could be attributed to the dense mutual adhesion between surrounding ground and pile due to pressurized grouting method and better grout quality.

  • 본 연구에서는 지반 및 구조물의 문제점을 이상화 하는데 필요한 응용기술을 개발하기 위해 공개되어 있는 소프트웨어 즉 도스용 프로그램을 윈도우상에서 OpenSees 말뚝의 정적 지지지력과 침하를 분석할 수 있도록 하여 윈도우상에서 사용자가 편리하게 전 처리와 후 처리 및 경제조건 처리가 가능하도록 OpenSees프로그램을 개선하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 지지력 분석은 유한요소 해석과 합성된 하중전이함수에 근거한 수치해석방법이다. 본 연구에서는 흙-말뚝의 상호작용에 의한 마찰력과 선단 지지력을 각각 모델링하기 위해 경험적인 비선형 T-z과 Q-z곡선에 의한 하중전이법을 이용하여 하중재하에 따른 침하조건에서의 흙-말뚝의 반응을 나타내었다. 본 연구에서 예측한 정적 지지력과 침하량은 문헌에 의한 정적재하시험 결과와 잘 일치하는 것으로 나타나 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • Sand compaction pile (SCP) method is composed of compacted sand pile inserted into the soft clay deposit by displacement method. SCP-reinforced ground is composite soil which consists of the SCP and the surrounding soft soil. When a surcharge load is applied on composite ground, time-dependent behavior occurs in the soft soil due to consolidation according to radial flow toward SCP and stress transfer also takes place between the SCP and the soft soil. This paper presents the numerical results of cylindrical composite ground that was conducted to investigate consolidation characteristics and the stress transfer mechanism of SCP-reinforced composite ground. The results show that the consolidation of soft clay has a significant effect on the stress transfer mechanism and stress concentration ratio of composite ground

Soil Nail로 보강된 현장타설말뚝의 하중전이 분석 (Load Transfer Analysis of Drilled Shafts Reinforced by Soil Nails)

  • 본 연구에서는 암반에 근입된 현장타설말뚝의 지지력을 높이기 위해 말뚝 주면에 soil nail을 정착한 타설말뚝의 축하중 해석을 수행하여 그 거동을 파악하였으며, soil nail의 유ㆍ무에 따른 보강효과를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 Beam-Column모델을 이용하여 현장타설말뚝과 지반을 모델링하고 하중전이곡선을 사용하여 말뚝지반의 상호작용을 고려하였다. 무보강 말뚝의 경우, 서해대교 현장재하시험결과 및 범용 프로그램인 Shaft 4.0의 해석결과와 비교ㆍ분석을 수행하였다. 보강형 말뚝의 경우에는 말뚝이 타설되는 지반을 [사질토+풍화암], [사질토+연암], [사질토+경암]으로 나누어 지반조건에 따른 soil nail의 보강효과를 파악하였다. 본 해석결과와 현장 실측치, SHAFT 4.0의 해석결과를 분석한 결과 제안된 주면하중전이함수 중 사질토에서는 Vijayvergiya의 함수, 암반에서는 O'Neill-Hassan의 함수가 암반에 근입된 현장타설말뚝의 거동을 비교적 적절히 예측함을 알 수 있었다. 이를 토대로 예측한 보강형 현장타설말뚝의 보강효과는 soil nail까지 하중전이가 나타나는 풍화암층에서 가장 크고, 암질이 양호한 연암과 경암층에서는 그 효과가 그다지 크지 않음을 알 수 있었다.

2,400 MPa 강연선용 포스트텐션 정착구의 하중전달성능 (The Load Transfer Performance of Post-tension Anchorage with 2,400 MPa Strands)

  • 인장강도가 2,400 MPa인 강연선이 개발되어 콘크리트구조기준 및 KS 규격에 반영되었다. 고강도 프리스트레스트 강연선이 구조물에 적용되기 위해서는 그에 적합한 정착시스템이 함께 사용되어야 한다. 최근에 2,400 MPa 강연선 적용을 위한 포스트텐션 정착구의 개발이 진행되어왔으나, 성능평가에 대한 연구가 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 2,400 MPa 강연선을 적용한 포스트텐션 정착구 중 가장 활용도가 높은 9 가닥, 15 가닥, 19 가닥 정착구에 대하여 PTI의 Anchorage Design Zone에 의한 국소구역 구조검토를 실시하였고, ETAG013 및 KCI-PS101에 의한 하중전달성능평가를 수행하였다. 또한 비선형 수치해석을 통해 시험의 적절성을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 2,400 MPa 정착구는 국소구역의 구조성능을 만족하고, 하중전달성능 조건을 만족하는 것으로 나타났다.

SMC 압축성형의 열 및 유동에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Heat Transfer and Flow in Compression Molding of SMC)

  • An experimental study on heat transfer and flow in compression molding of clss-B and A SMC(Sheet Molding Compounds) in a flat plate and a cross-sectional T-shape was carried out. The temperature was measured with thermocouples at two locations in the 4 layered SMC charge and pressure was measured at the center of the top mold during compression molding. Three different mold speeds, 15, 45, 50 mm/min and two different mold temperature, $130^{\circ}C{\;}and{\;}150^{\circ}C$ were used for compression molding experiments. Experiments with different colored SMC layers were used to study flow patterns at various compression stages. In oder to predict the pressure and load in SMC compression molding, slab method was used. The predicted values of pressure and load from the slab analysis were compared well with the measured data.

Graphical Design Plane Analysis for Series-Compensated Resonant Energy Links of Inductive Wireless Power Transfer Systems

  • In wireless power transfer systems, it is important to design resonant energy links in order to increase the power transfer efficiency and to obtain desired system performances. This paper proposes a method for designing and analyzing the resonant energy links in a series-series configured IPT (inductive power transfer) system using the FOM-rd plane. The proposed FOM-rd graphical design plane can analyze and design the voltage gain and the power efficiency of the energy links while considering changes in the misalignment between the coils and the termination load condition. In addition, the region of the bifurcation phenomena, where voltage gain peaks are split over the frequency, can also be distinctly identified on the graphical plane. An example of the design and analysis of a 100 W inductive power transfer system with the proposed method is illustrated. The proposed method is verified by measuring the voltage gain and power efficiency of implemented hardware.

적외선 검출기용 극저온 챔버에서 복사 차폐막을 고려한 열해석 (Thermal Analysis of a Cryochamber for an Infrared Detector Considering a Radiation Shield)

  • The steady cooling characteristics of a cryochamber for infrared (IR) detector have been investigated analytically, considering radiation shields. The thermal modeling considers the conduction heat transfer through cold finger, the gaseous conduction due to out-gassing, and the radiation heat transfer. The cooling load of the cryochamber is obtained by using a fin equation. The results obtained indicate that the gaseous conduction plays an important role in determining the steady cooling load. The steady cooling load is increased as the gas pressure is increased. It is also found that the cooling load is substantially decreased with a radiation shield. The most thermal load of a cryochamber occurs through the cold finger.
