Franciso Ayala's narrative work was published in the collection "Nova novorum" (1926-1929) of Revista de Occidente, founded by $Jos{\acute{e}}$ Ortega y Gasset. The author of Cazador en el alba was well aware of the avant-garde aesthetics and hence he put into practice an artistic rupture of the traditional narrative forms of Realism. The work consists of two short stories: "Cazador en el alba" and "Erika ante el invierno". The use of metaphor, Francisco Ayala's preferred literary device (which Ortega y Gasset already emphasized in The Dehumanization of Art), reveals the influence of $Ram{\acute{o}}n$$G{\acute{o}}mez$ de la Serna's Aphorisms. Through a metaphoric language, "Cazador en el alba" describes the life of Antonio, a soldier and peasant, who visits Madrid and confronts the urban reality of the metropolis. "Erika ante el invierno" portrays with a singular depth the solitude of a woman living in another metropolis, Berlin. The author confessed that he wrote both short stories influenced by the European avant-garde and its use of poetic imagery and metaphor, common practice at that time. However, the main purpose of this article is to reflect upon the society of the first decades of the $20^{th}$ Century: the city, the people and their lives, the societal changes, as well as the innovative perspective of the new art.
The purpose of this study is to derive the future-oriented characteristics Sonia Delaunay presented at the time based on the identity and modernity shown in her works and diverse activity. The scope of study spans from 1907 to the start of World War II and includes both applied and fine arts, with a focus on textiles and fashion. The research method is a literary study that includes old documents, exhibition booklets, and explanations from museum curators. The visual materials are actual works observed at exhibitions and digital images of various exhibitions. As a result of the research, she was a practitioner who expressed her identity in marriage, artwork, textiles, and fashion. In order to embody her design and express modernity, she showed geometric and modern motifs and she incorporated a sense of bright color and modernized light into her work by following the principle of simultaneous contrast in color. Additionally, she applied Hungarian embroidery techniques to simple materials and created geometric abstraction with her simultaneous colors, which contributed to both originality and the mass production of textile design. The future-oriented characteristics she presented are the dynamism of modern rhythm, the expansion of convergence and collaboration, the innovation of new production and exhibition, the media of consumer society, and the femininity of modern life. She recognized the mass consumer society and mass production of the early 20th century and actively utilized various media and genres to evoke a dynamic sense necessary for modern life and presented a design to be seen as a modern woman.
Samuel Eliot Morison (1887-1976) was one of the pre-eminent historians of his generation. He was not only a famous historian at that time, but also was promoted to the rank of Admiral in U.S. Navy Reserve. Fifteen volume History of United States Naval Operations in World War II was published between 1947 and 1962, was not only a comprehensive report on the Navy's projection of power over two oceans, but a classic of historical literature that stands as the definitive treatment of it subject. Although he was fifty-five when war come to America in December 1941. Samuel Eliot Morison was determined to play a role. A professor at Harvard at the time, he joined volunteering for duty in the Navy. An experienced sailor, Professor Morison had earlier sailed that same routes taken by Christopher Columbus while researching his biography, Admiral of the Ocean Sea, which appeared in January 1942 th much acclaim and later got a Pulitzer Prize. Thus Morison plunged into the war, crossing the Atlantic aboard a destroyer. He assumed himself as "Parkman on the sea", tried to follow Parkman's historiographic method, not only participatory history but also literary style. And during writing History of United States Naval Operations in World War II, He emphasized two principles, publicity and objectivity. In terms of publicity, he always worried about who read history and why. In his pamphlet, "History as a Literary Art", he asserted it is useless if readers do not read a history which historians wrote. So he thought historians have forgotten that there is an art of writing of history. Therefore, he built his narratives around brightly rendered visuals and used the present tense to describe actions he witnessed firsthand, he wrote of the U.S. combat in very vividly. But strongly driven by publicity, he sometimes lost his balance in writing the naval history. For instance, the naval history became the focus of criticism for its prejudiced comments about the commanders. Also some reviewers asserted he did not secure the objectivity on writing the naval history. Although he sometimes deliberately torpedoed the objectivity of his work for strengthening publicity, by writing an extensive U.S. naval history, he introduced maritime history and naval history to the public widely. Until in early twentieth century, U.S. historians usually had been focusing their effort to the traditional areas, for example politic, economy, and etc. His intensive effort on the operations of U.S. Navy in World War II aroused a public interest in maritime and naval history. In conclusion, through using literary style and realistic narratives, historian Morison wrote a naval history for all the people which could appealed to the public.
In this study, we attempted to understand the cultural characteristics of Korean food based on a traditional understanding of a Korean novel. To achieve this, food characteristics related to "Gaesung's foods" were analyzed in the representative Korean literary work Mimang. Mimang is a novel, from the latter era of the Chosun Dynasty to the Korean War in the Gaesung area. From that novel, it was discovered that first daily foods in the Gaesung area of the 19th century were various stored fermented foods. The second was the devotion of Gaesung food's cooking process and formal attire. The third was reflected in the economic abundance and the splendor of Gaesung food courts. The fourth was a modern public restaurant in Gaesung, an economic and commercial city. Another historically significant food found in Mimang was Gaesung ginseng.
In a literary work may reflect the socio-enviromental situations of the time. Lee Injae wrote "Sujingyeongheomsinbang" in early $20^{th}$ century, in a time when japanese colonization began and with which the influence of so called modern medicine, western medicine, were increasing. Though this trend was ever increasing the system for education and propagation was not enough and the practice of TKM was still predominant in public. This book reflect the concern of the author about this transitional time. He stat ing that TKM has a strong point in internal medicine while western medicine in external or surgical diseases tries to consolidate both medicines. This opinion is still valid today or at least serve as a reference as this problem still remains us to solve.

And every time we read this work repeatedly, the sadness is amplified. This amplification of sadness plays a role in healing the human body. This white hair motif of Gosijo covers the death motif and become energy to support life. In the future, if we study the literary physiological functions of Gosijo in the future, it seems that literature will give us a more healing life.
The purpose of this paper is to investigate seasonal customs of "Hae-Dong-Jug-Ji". Cheo Yeong-hyeon was a literary man who passed away when Joseon Dynasty ruined after great change of dynasty. As the interest in the customs had also, there appeared a lot of books on common customs in each seasons. As a result, Chinese poems on the seasonal common customs turned up a great deal. Among these, "Hae-Dong-Jug-Ji" written by Cheo Yeong-hyeon is one of the representative poems which described the seasonal customs at that time. As the details of customs and lives in every work is described deliberately, the poem is very clear and realistic. This is the very achievement of the poet.
This essay addresses the missing conversation in Keats studies by showing how an enduring mystery of Romantic writing—the medium of poetic process and the physical conditions of enunciation—remains a central question in the Hyperion fragments. It is my argument that the tropes of material textuality prevalent in the Hyperions represent a bold cultural statement in which Keats reacts to the major premises underlying the Romantic culture's notion of poetry as abstraction: the Romantic notion of literary (re)production as a product of the activity of a mind. Keats's self-conscious, symbolic representation of the mechanics of poetry-making can be read as an investigation of the ways in which the Romantics were aware of and even eager to articulate the instabilities of their position on the relations between words and things. This essay does not focus exclusively on the physical embodiment of Keats's work as such, so much as the second-generation Romantic poet's contribution to the Romantics' self-conscious and critical understanding of the depiction, perception and ideologies of their poetry and its mediation.

This study deals with the precedents regarding music works among 'The suits to claim an infringement of copyright' and 'Suits to claim indemnification for damage' that have been filed in Korea up so far in order to establish clear criteria to judge plagiarism based on the ground of legal judgment and judge the similarity of two works that have been in controversy previously. The study has been performed through literature review and also precedents. According to the study result, 'criteria to judge music works on plagiarism' are largely classified into (1) creativity, (2) access, and (3) substantial similarity. It is almost the same to judge creativity and substantial similarity. With the components of music works, say, melody, harmony, and rhythm, comparative analysis is conducted. About creativity, the original composer's song is analyzed with another object to be compared whereas about substantial similarity, two songs in controversy get to be analyzed. Regarding the current criteria to judge creativity, it is needed to set the number of objects to be compared which have been regarded similar. And access has limitations in setting up objective criteria for it. Lastly, we should develop digitized criteria for substantial similarity based on the preliminary review system of the Committee on Performance Ethics in the past.
