잔골재의 입도분포가 SSPM의 침투성능에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Fine Aggregate Size on Penetration Performances of SSPM)

  • 본 연구는 콘크리트 내부 공극 및 계면 사이에 깊게 침투가 가능한 실란복합화합물을 기반으로한 표면보호재 (Silane Surface Protection Material, SSPM)를 사용한 기존 콘크리트 내구성 향상 방안 도출을 위해 실시되었다. SSPM을 적용한 모르타르의 미세구조 평가, 잔골재의 입도 분포에 따른 침투깊이 및 공극량을 측정하였다. 그 결과 모르타르 내부에 액상 및 크림형질의 SSPM이 침투된 것으로 나타났으며, 공극량 평가결과 잔골재의 입도분포에 관계없이 SSPM을 적용하였을 때 공극량이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 침투깊이 평가결과 잔골재의 입도분포에 관계없이 SSPM 도포량이 증가함에 따라 침투깊이가 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 공극량이 상대적으로 많은 일반잔골재(Type 2)로 제작한 모르타르의 침투깊이가 적게 나타났다. 콘크리트에 적용할 경우 침투깊이는 다소 감소할 것으로 판단되나, 콘크리트 표면에 침투하여 내구성을 향상 시길 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • Tests on Liquid Penetrant products normally utilized in the temperature range $10^{\circ}C\;to\;40^{\circ}C$ have shown that the required sensibility can not be obtained at temperatures lower than $10^{\circ}C$ with the penetration and development time usually specified in the operating procedures. It is thus confirmed that $10^{\circ}C$ is the lowest allowable temperature for use of these products. The results obtained with a penetrant and develope. specially formulated for low temperatures (SHERWIN B 305+D100) are satisfactory between $0^{\circ}C\;and\;15^{\circ}C$.

  • The author attempted to study the role of liners as a barrier against the penetration of the acids released from the liquid of dental cements. Six different kinds of liners were used in this study and the depth of penetration of the acids of phosphate and silicate cements were measured ands following conclusions were obtained. 1. All the liners successfully prevented penetration of the acids released from phosphate and silicate cements. 2. When silicate cements were placed into the cavity without any liners, free acids were liberated continuously and thus may give injuries to the pulp tissue.

분무 상호 충돌에 의한 미립화 특성 (Atomization Characteristics by Impigement of Spray)

  • This experimental study describes atomization characteristics of spray-spray impingement. Effect of the impingement location and angle on the penetration and the sauter mean diameter of the impinged spray were investigated. Experiment were performed under ranging from 50kPa to 250kPa spray pressure, ranging $30^{\circ}C$ to $135^{\circ}C$ angle on the penetration and free spray. In the case of this experimental, sauter mean diameter $D_{32}$ tends to decrease and duration of film disintegration $t_f$ to decrease, when spray pressure and angle on the penetration is increased. Sauter mean diameter $D_{32}$ were about 20% to be smaller compared with a free spray to jet-jet impingement and 30% to be smaller compared with a free spray to spray-spray impingement.

Spray Characteristics in CI Engines Fuelled with Vegetable Oils and Its Derivatives

  • In this article, spray characteristics in CI engines fuelled with vegetable oils and its derivatives will be reviewed. Of edible vegetable oils, soybean oil and rapeseed oil were mainly investigated. Of inedible vegetable oils, jatropha oil and used frying oil were main concern on the research on the spray characteristics in CI engine. Spray angle and spray penetration were mainly examined among the macroscopic spray characteristics and Sauter mean diameter was only investigated among the microscopic spray characteristics. There exist six different definitions of spray angle which should be examined. Neat vegetable oil and biodiesel fuels show smaller spray angle than diesel fuel. Biodiesel fuel and vegetable oils and its blend have a longer spray penetration than diesel fuel. However, biodiesel blends with diesel shows the similar spray penetration with diesel fuel. SMDs in the biodiesel spray, vegetable oils and its blends spray are higher than that in the diesel spray.

  • Important characteristics of impinging sprays intersected by a strongly convective gaseous cross flows were experimentally investigated. The breakup processes due to different Weber and Reynolds numbers of liquid and gas streams were visually examined with quantitative measurements of breakup lengths, penetration heights, and droplet sizes. Snapshot images and spay data evidenced that, at lower jet Reynolds number the breakup processes portrays the atomization profiles similar to typical column breakup of single orifice jet. At higher jet Reynolds numbers, disintegration of jet stream is significantly expedited by strong momentum transported from strongly convective gaseous stream. The breakup length and penetration height decreased as the convective flow increase. From the bottom the wall up, the SMD measured the centerline increase. The maximum SMD appeared the top of the SMD distribution

직접분사식 가솔린 선회분사기 개발에 관한 연구 III (Development of Gasoline Direct Swirl Injector III)

  • The Gasoline Direct Injection(GDI) system has been highlighted due to the improvement of fuel consumption and the control of exhaust emission from gasoline engines. Main purpose of the present study is to measure spray characteristics of GDSI for real engine application. We have investigated experimentally spray tip penetration, spray angle, tip velocity and spatial spray distribution. Counter-rotating vortex grown on the spray surface plays an important role in the spray characteristics. Accordingly the spray tip penetration and tip velocity do not excess 50mm, 20m/s respectively, under 0.6MPa ambient pressure. the spray cone angle of GDSI have a same tendency to a simplex swirl atomizer.

Spray Characteristics of Hydrotreated Biodiesel Blended Fuels

  • Hydrotreated biodiesel (HBD) would be one of the promising alternative fuels instead of current biodiesel. In this study, spray characteristics in terms of spray penetration and spray angle were conducted experimentally including calculated SMDs as well. The ambient pressures of 1, 3, and 5 MPa and injection pressures of 30, 80, and 130 MPa were introduced and the fuels employed were petro-diesel, and 2, 10, 20, 30, and 50% for hydrotreated biodiesel, respectively. The result of this study found that the more HBD blended diesels have the slightly shorter spray tip penetration lengths especially on the lowest injection pressure and at the highest ambient pressure, but have the larger spray angles and SMDs than petro-diesel. Consequently, this study found that HBD has a little bit merits and demerits of macro- and micro- spray patterns compared to petro-diesel.

  • In this paper, experimental study on the wan impingement spray of the common-rail diesel injector is performed. To examine the effect of various factors on the development of spray impinging on the wall, experiments were conducted at the various injection pressures. ambient pressures, wan distances from the injector tip, wall temperatures, and angles of wall inclination. The behaviors of the impingement spray ate visualized by using laser sheet methods and a ICCD camera. It is shown that the spray path penetration of the wall impingement spray increases with the increase of injection pressure, wall distance. wall temperature, wall angle. On the other hand the spray path penetration of the wan impingement spray decreases with the increase of ambient pressure.
