  • It often happen water leakage that roof membrane have a poor condition such as direct exposed to rain, ultraviolet lays, temperature change compare with other part of waterproofing. There are difficult to maintain the quality of waterproofing and durability due to use only few waterproofing materials in practical in spite of development and use the various waterproofing material as solution of these poor condition. Therefore, in this thesis, I would like to know the property to apply field and suggest other method to develop for this waterproofing method to adopt various field condition for roof tops, as searching exposed and complex waterproofing technology for roof tops which is reinforced sheet using rising system have a regular pitch, depth, space.

  • The quality of the supply water which is supplied to consumer is not the thing of water after filtrating but the thing of water from faucet through pipe. As a result, heavy metals and microorganism, that is the major materials, which cause the distrust of the supply water is generated by supply process. Especially, the heavy metal is generated by the corrosion of waterworks. Besides, rupture by corrosion of pipe becomes the factor of supply water's pollution in waterworks and the factor of pollution of the soil and environment in drain pipe. Therefore, this research examined the weight reduction electric potential measure to measure the corrosion degree of piping materials after testing the corrosion of piping materials(Copper Pipe, Galvanized Steel Pipe, Stainless Steel Pipe) which is generally used at the moment in various corrosion environments(subterranean water, supply water, 3.5% NaCl, 3.5% $HNO_3$). And let me show basic design data about problem occurrence such as leakage water, rust water, inside and outside corrosion from this.

  • 본 논문에서는 재생냉각형 연소기를 채용한 가스발생기 사이클 로켓엔진의 연소시험 중 연소기의 내피 손상을 진단하는 방안을 제시하였다. 이는 연소기 내피 손상 발생 시 연료가 유실되면서 두가지 방식의 연소기 연료유입량 예측값 차이에 변화가 발생하는 것에 착안한 방법으로 로켓엔진 시험 중 연소기 내피손상을 조기에 파악하여 추가 손상 방지에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • The floating ring seal which is used in the high pressure turbo pump is frequently used in the oxidizer pump and the fuel pump of the turbo pump of the liquid propulsion rocket, because it is able to minimize clearance to decrease the leakage flow rate. Compared with contact seal, the floating ring seal has advantage of minimizing clearance without rubbing phenomenon. But, the floating ring seal has a tendency to increase instability in operating condition in the high speed region. In this research, we devised floating ring seal which is inserted bump in the outer surface in order to improve the stability in the high speed region. Through this work, we expect to improve stability of floating ring seal with increasing the direct damping coefficient of seal and decreasing the eccentricity ratio.

  • 본 논문에서는 부분 흡입형 초음속 터빈의 로터 블레이드에 ${\pm}15^{\circ}$의 스윕 각도를 적용하여 그에 의한 효과와 공력 특성을 살펴보기 위해 정상상태 유동해석과 비정상상태 유동해석을 동시에 수행하고 그 결과를 비교해 보았다. 3차원 Navier-Stokes 유동해석에는 상용 코드인 FLUENT 6.3 Parallel을 사용하였다. 모든 계산 케이스들에서 정상상태 유동해석에 비해 비정상상태의 경우가 손실이 더욱 크게 나오는 결과를 나타내었다. 후방스윕(BSW)모델은 기준모델(NSW)에 비해 팁 간극으로 빠져나가는 누설 손실량을 줄이는데 큰 효과가 있었고 비정상상태 유동 해석에서는 로터 출구면 정효율의 증가현상이 더욱 뚜렷하게 나타났다.

Seismic Fragility of Steel Piping System Based on Pipe Size, Coupling Type, and Wall Thickness

  • In this study, a probabilistic framework of the damage assessment of pipelines subjected to extreme hazard scenario was developed to mitigate the risk and enhance design reliability. Nonlinear 3D finite element models of T-joint systems were developed based on experimental tests with respect to leakage detection of black iron piping systems, and a damage assessment analysis of the vulnerability of their components according to nominal pipe size, coupling type, and wall thickness under seismic wave propagations was performed. The analysis results showed the 2-inch schedule 40 threaded T-joint system to be more fragile than the others with respect to the nominal pipe sizes. As for the coupling types, the data indicated that the probability of failure of the threaded T-joint coupling was significantly higher than that of the grooved type. Finally, the seismic capacity of the schedule 40 wall thickness was weaker than that of schedule 10 in the 4-inch grooved coupling, due to the difference in the prohibition of energy dissipation. Therefore, this assessment can contribute to the damage detection and financial losses due to failure of the joint piping system in a liquid pipeline, prior to the decision-making.

Greenhouse Gas Emission Analysis by LNG Fuel Tank Size through Life Cycle

  • As greenhouse gas emissions from maritime transport are increasing, the International Maritime Organization is continuously working to strengthen emission regulations. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel is less advantageous as a point of CO2 reduction due to the methane leakage that occurs during the bunkering and operation of marine engines. In this study, greenhouse gas emissions from an LNG-fueled ship were analyzed from the perspective of the life cycle. The amount ofmethane emission during the bunkering and operation procedures with various boil-off gas (BOG) treatment methods and gas engine specifications was analyzed by dynamic simulation. The results were also compared with those of other liquid fuel engines. As a result, small LNG-fueled ships without a BOG treatment facility emitted 32% more greenhouse gas than ships utilizing marine gas oil or heavy fuel oil. To achieve a greenhouse gas reduction via a BOG treatment method, a gas combustion unit or re-liquefaction system must be mounted, which results in a greenhouse gas reduction effect of about 25% and 30%. As a result of comparing the amount of greenhouse gas generated according to the BOG treatment method used with each tank size from the perspective of the operating cycle with the amounts from using existing marine fuels, the BOG treatment method showed superior effects of greenhouse gas reduction.

ZnO-Co3O4-Cr2O3-La2O3 세라믹스의 결함과 입계 특성에 미치는 CaCO3의 영향 (Effects of CaCO3 on the Defects and Grain Boundary Properties of ZnO-Co3O4-Cr2O3-La2O3 Ceramics)

  • Liquid phases in ZnO varistors cause more complex phase development and microstructure, which makes the control of electrical properties and reliability more difficult. Therefore, we have investigated 2 mol% $CaCO_3$ doped $ZnO-Co_3O_4-Cr_2O_3-La_2O_3$ (ZCCLCa) bulk ceramics as one of the compositions without liquid phase sintering additive. The results were as follows: when $CaCO_3$ is added to ZCCLCa ($644{\Omega}cm$) acting as a simple ohmic resistor, CaO does not form a secondary phase with ZnO but is mostly distributed in the grain boundary and has excellent varistor characteristics (high nonlinear coefficient ${\alpha}=78$, low leakage current of $0.06{\mu}A/cm^2$, and high insulation resistance of $1{\times}10^{11}{\Omega}cm$). The main defects $Zn_i^{{\cdot}{\cdot}}$ (AS: 0.16 eV, IS & MS: 0.20 eV) and $V_o^{\bullet}$ (AS: 0.29 eV, IS & MS: 0.37 eV) were found, and the grain boundaries had 1.1 eV with electrically single grain boundary. The resistance of each defect and grain boundary decreases exponentially with increasing the measurement temperature. However, the capacitance (0.2 nF) of the grain boundary was ~1/10 lower than that of the two defects (~3.8 nF, ~2.2 nF) and showed a tendency to decrease as the measurement temperature increased. Therefore, ZCCLCa varistors have high sintering temperature of $1,200^{\circ}C$ due to lack of liquid phase additives, but excellent varistor characteristics are exhibited, which means ZCCLCa is a good candidate for realizing chip type or disc type commercial varistor products with excellent performance.

소성온도에 따른 ZnO계 적층형 칩 바리스터의 미세구조와 전기적 특성의 변화 (Effect of Firing Temperature on Microstructure and the Electrical Properties of a ZnO-based Multilayered Chip Type Varistor(MLV))

  • 소성온도에 따른 ZnO계 적층형 세라믹 칩 바리스터(약칭 MLV)의 미세구조와 전기적 특성의 변화를 조사하였다. 소성온도 1100$^{\circ}$C에서 Ag/Pd(7:3) 내부전극층의 두께가 불균일하게 변화하면서 부분적인 공극이 발생하기 시작하고, 1150$^{\circ}$C에서는 상당한 전극 패턴의 소멸과 박리가 관찰되었다. 950$^{\circ}$C로 소성한 MLV의 경우 누설전류의 열화가 특히 컸는데 이는 미반응의 pyrochlore상이 잔류하여 액상과 천이원소의 균일한 분포가 일어나지 않았기 때문이라 사료된다. 1100$^{\circ}$C 이상의 온도로 소성한 경우에는 바리스터 특성 및 그 재현성의 저하가 관찰되었는데, 이는 내부전극의 소멸, 전극물질과 소체의 반응, 그리고 $Bi_2O_3$의 휘발에 기인한 것으로 보인다. 한편, 950∼1100$^{\circ}$C의 전 소성온도 범위에 걸쳐 온도가 증가할수록 정전용량과 누설전류는 증가하고 항복전압과 피크전류는 감소하였으나, 비선형계수와 클램핑 비는 각각 ∼30 및 1.4로 거의 일정한 값을 유지하였다. 특히 1000∼1050$^{\circ}$C 소성체의 경우 칩 바리스터에 적합한 바리스터 특성이 재현성 있게 나타났다. 결과적으로 Ag/Pd(7:3) 합금은 1050$^{\circ}$C의 동시 소성 온도이하에서는 $Bi_2O_3$를 함유한 대부분의 ZnO계 MLV의 내부전극으로 충분히 사용가능한 것으로 판단된다.
