매립장 사면에 설치된 토목섬유의 설계 인장강도 산정 (Design Forces Acting on Geosynthetics in Landfills)

  • This paper presents measured deformation of geomembrane installed on slopes of a landfill. The layout of geosynthetics installed on landfill slopes as required by regulations is composed of, in typical, geocomposite, geomembrane, geosynthetic clay liner in turn from the slope. An effort was made to better understand the sources of external forces acting on geosynthetics and their interactions. The results of a field observation indicated that tensile stresses induced on geomebrane were far less in magnitude than predicted by the design method employing mass equilibrium of waste. This was mainly because external forces acting on slopes were not transferred from geocomposite to underlying geomembrane. A simple, but rather rational method for assessing the stability of geosynthetics against tensile stresses was proposed. This method is based on a hypothesis that external forces acting on geosynthetics are the results of downdrag of waste during waste compaction.

  • In this paper, algorithm for increment of ATC is proposed. ATC of the power transfer system is determined by the smallest ATC among transmission lines' in the power transfer system. So power flow of that transmission line shall be decreased to increase ATC, using the redistribution of each generation power with liner programing method. By the studying example case, $10\sim20%$ increment of ATC is confirmed in the power transfer system.

  • Maxwell displacement current (MDC) measurement has been employed to study the dielectric property of Langmuir-films. A method for determining the dielectric relaxation time $\tau$ of floating monolayers on water surface is presented. WC flowing across monolayers is analyzed using a rod-like molecular model. It is revealed that the dielectric relaxation time $\tau$ of monolayers in the isotropic polar orientational phase is determined using a liner relationship between the monolayer compression speed ${\alpha}$ and the molecular area Am. Compression speed ${\alpha}$ was about 30, 40, 50mm/min.

  • In short primary, short secondary Single-sided Liner Induction Motor (SLIM), the thrust calculation is difficult when the overlapped area changes between the primary and the secondary. To solve this problem, we construct neural network that its inputs are the secondary displacement and the slip, and predict the thrust.

  • In this paper we developed flip-chip bonder using XY stage, liner-rotary actuator and vision system. We depicted the major parts of the developed flip-chip bonder. Then we discussed several problems and their solutions such as vision and motion control, pick-up module position accuracy, separation of chip from the blue taped hoop, etc. We used a post guide to improve the horizontal positional accuracy against the long arm. Also, we used an ejector module and synchronization technique for easy chip separation from the blue tape.

  • Lubricational characteristics at the interface between the piston ring and the cylinder liner are considered in this paper. To verify that surface shape and operating conditions of the engine can affect the state of lubrication, the changes of the minimum film thickness and friction force are calculated with various conditions. Oil starvation and open-end boundary condition are used to determine computational boundaries as reported on previous paper for lubrication analysis for the piston ring. From this analysis, it can be found that lubricational characteristics are seriously affected by degree of oil starvation, surface shape and operating conditions.

  • The distribution of oil film thickness in piston were measured by induced fluorescence method. A Xe lamp was used as light source. Coumarine-6 was mixed with oil as the fluorescent dye. Fluorescent signal which is proportional to the oil film thickness was acquired by CCD camera and transmitted to the personal computer as video signal. In order to solve the problem of measurement system, irregular distribution and unstability of light intensity, as well as to know the relationship between the oil film thickness and output signal, three different calibration techniques were used. Motoring and firing tests were performed in a single cylinder research engine with transparent liner. By analyzing the oil film thickness converted from the photographed image, it was observed that each of three piston rings scrapes the oil both upward and downward and oil film thickness is not uniform horizontally at a given piston land. The amount of oil in each land was considerably affected by the engine load. It is thought that the blow-by gas blows the oil down to the crankcase.

  • Self-piercing riveting(SPR) is becoming an important joining technique for automotive application of various material sheets and shapes. Fatigue behavior of SPR conections needs to be investigated experimentally and numerically to predict SPR fatigue lives. The simulations of various SPR specimens (Coach-Peel specimen, Cross-Tension specimen, Tensile-Shear specimen, Pure-Shear specimen) are performed to predict the fatigue life of SPR connections under different material combinations. Finite element models of various SPR specimens are developed using a FEMFAT SPOT SPR pre-processor. The fatigue lives of SPR specimens are predicted using a FEMFAT 4.4e based on the liner finite element analysis.

  • 쓰레기 매립장의 오수 침출 방지를 목적으로 그간 차수층이 시공되었으나 기존의 차수재는 그 성능상 많은 문제점을 내포하고 있었다. 이게 본 고에서는 '자가 형성' 및 '자가 치유'기능을 가진 SS/SH 차수층에 관하여 실내 시험 및 수도권 매립지(3공구)를 대상으로 현장 시험시공을 실시한 결과에 관해서 기술하였다. 두 시험을 통하여 SS/SH 차수층은 쓰레기 매립장 차수재로써 필요한 기준강도를 충족시키는가 하면 투수계수도 기준치를 만족시키는 낮은 수치를 나타내는 등 우수한 기능성을 충분하게 입증하였다. 무엇보다, 쓰레기 매립장에서 일반적으로 발생하는 차수층 손상에 대한 '탁월한 치유기능'을 가지고 있음으로 차수층 보수비가 전혀 필요없다는 점에서 대단히 경제적이라고 판단되었기에, 기능성과 경제성을 확보한 이 SS/SH 공법을 본공사에 적용할 수 있게 된 것이다.

  • The purpose of the study is to compare the efficiency of protection as a liner protective material for geosynthetics. A series of tests were conducted in this study to analyze the effects of geosynthetics against puncture loads. Various types of geosynthetics are used as a protective material. Non-woven, Geo-composite, NaBento GCL, GCL are used to create puncture failure that caused by vertically applied loads. The results indicated that combination of geosynthetics and a protective material can be subjected to bigger loads than geosynthetics and a protective material separated each other do.
