  • This paper discusses the general properties and the design procedures of Internal Model Control(IMC) scheme for nonlinear plants. Also we propose new nonlinear IMC(NIMC) design method using linear IMC. Although all IMC controllers can be thought simple 'inverse controller', its nonlinear realization is not easy. Propose NIMC is composed multiple linear models, IMC controllers, and switching scheme. The advantages of this method are we can use simple linear IMC design method and need not nonlinear modelings.

  • Since the control parameters of classical PID controller are fixed for all control period, it is not easy to produce a desired transition phenomena. We incorporate an iterative learning scheme to the linear controller so that it has more flexibility and adaptation capability especially in the transition period. In this paper a hybrid type learning controller is proposed in which fixed linear controller guides learning at the beginning stage. Once a perfect learning is achieved, then the control action is performed by only the learning controller. A computer simulation result demonstrates better performance during transition time than that with only linear PD controller.

입력지연을 갖는 이산 시간 비선형 시스템의 제어 (Control of Discrete Time Nonlinear Systems with Input Delay)

  • This paper presents the state feedback control design for discrete time nonlinear systems where there exists a time delay in input. It is shown that under some boundedness condition, the time delay nonlinear systems can be transformed into the time delay linear systems with time varying parameters. Sufficient conditions for existence of stabilizing state feedback controller are characterized by linear matrix inequalities. Finally, an illustrative example is given in order to show the effectiveness of our design method.

  • This paper investigates the control problem which is specified by an uncertain linear system and a linear quadratic performance index. Only the size of parameter uncertainty is assumed to be given instead of its statistics. In addition, a mathing condition which constrains the system structure is assumed to be satisfied. The control law can be obtained by solving an LQ optimal control problem for a nominal system.

  • The electrical detector and computer systems for traffic flow and speed measurement are demonstrated in this paper. For the best traffic control optimization, linear and non-linear equations in the transition state are dealing with the perturbation of the linear car-following. In the conclusions, we construct a realizable system for the central automatic traffic control with a computer. Furthermore, fixed periodic switching system by manual with the automatic traffic control system is recommended for emergency perturbation.

  • This paper presents a vector control of Linear Induction Motor base on a slip frequency control. And a linear induction motor modeling included the end effect using circuit and equation method is also proposed. We demonstrated through simulation the improvements achieved by the proposed scheme.

  • This paper investigates the problem of linear parameter-dependent output feedback controllers design for interconnected linear parameter-varying(LPV) plant. By using a parameter-independent common Lyapunov function, sucient conditions for solving the problems are established, which allow us to design linear parameter dependent decentralized controllers in terms of scaled H-infinite control problems for related linear systems without interconnections. The solvability conditions are expressed in terms of finite-dimensional linear matrix inequalities(LMI´s) evaluated at the extreme points of the admissible parameter set.

  • this paper provides a novel method to start the linear engine coupled linear generator from dead stop to its final steady state operation. This method depends mainly to use the linear generator mounted on the shaft of the linear engine to provide the required thrust force to move and oscillate the linear engine from bottom to top dead centers. It is a cost effective approach to start the internal linear combustion engine using its coupled tubular permanent magnet linear generator proposed here. This linear generator operates in this case in motoring mode, providing the required thrust force by feeding this linear generator phases with currents by using a three phase PWM inverter controlled by position feedback scheme. In order to provide the desired thrust force with specific value and direction, a position feedback is required to control the free piston engine motion through controlling the inverter switches using PWM control scheme.
