개착식 터널에서 파형강판 라이닝의 해석 기법 평가 (Evaluation of Analysis Code of Corrugated Steel Plate Lining in Cut-and-Cover Tunnel)

  • Most tunnel lining material which has been used in the domestic is a concrete. But many problems as the construction period, the cost, and the crack occurrence for the design, construction, and management were happened in the concrete lining. For this reason, many research institutes like the Korea Highway Corporation recognize the necessity of an alternate material development and grow on the interest for that. So in this study, the behaviour characteristics for the application of the Corrugated Steel Plate Lining in cut-and-cover tunnel are evaluated as several conditions for the backfill height, the cutting slope, and the relative density of backfill soil are changed. In addition, through using that conditions, CHBDC(2000, Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code) is evaluated if it could be applied to the design by comparing with the numerical analysis results. As the behaviour characteristics of the Corrugated Steel Plate Lining by CHBDC and the static numerical analysis are analyzed, both the methods show the same linear increases of the compressive stress according to the increase of the backfill height. The CHBDC of the dead load condition has very similar tendency by comparing with the result of the static numerical analysis.

배분력의 정량적인 분석을 통한 단결정실리콘의 나노패턴 연성가공법 연구 (Study on Ductile Machining Technology for Manufacturing Nano-Patterns on Single Crystal Silicon through Quantitative Analysis of Thrust Force)

  • Lithography techniques are generally used to manufacture nano-patterns on silicon, however, it is difficult to make a V-shaped pattern using these techniques. Although silicon is a brittle material, it can be treated as a ductile material if mechanically machined at extremely low force scale. The manufacturing technique of nano-patterns on single crystal silicon using a mechanical method was developed in this study. First, the linear pattern was machined on the silicon with increasing thrust force. Then, the correlation between measured cutting force and machined pattern was analyzed. Based on the analysis, the critical thrust force was quantitatively determined, and then the silicon was machined at a force lower than the critical thrust force. The machined pattern was observed using SEM and AFM to check for the occurrence of brittle fractures. Finally, the sharp V-shaped nano-pattern was manufactured on the single crystal silicon.

VABS를 이용한 높은 세장비를 가진 복합재료 보 구조의 차원축소 및 응력복원 해석기법에 대한 연구 (A Study on Stress Recovery Analysis of Dimensionally Reducible Composite Beam Structure with High Aspect Ratio using VABS)

  • 본 논문에서는 풍력 블레이드와 같이 세장비가 크고 초기 비틀림이 존재하는 복합재료로 구성된 블레이드에 대한 이차원 단면의 차원축소와 복원관계를 이론적으로 기술하였다. 그리고 VABS 이용한 보의 차원축소모델에 대한 유효성을 검증하기 위해 선행연구 모델을 활용하여 기존 연구결과를 수치적으로 비교하였다. 실물과 가장 가까운 날개 구조물 2차원 형상에 단면해석을 적용하여 정밀한 단면의 이산화를 수행하고 VABS를 이용하여 블레이드의 특성(질량행렬, 강성행렬)을 포함한 1차원 보 모델링을 수행하였다. 1차원 보 모델을 통해 세장비가 큰 날개 구조물의 거동을 확인하고 내부하중을 계산하여 단면위치에서 변형률 복원을 수치적으로 계산하고 이산화된 단면에 수치적으로 매핑하여 시각적으로 확인하고 여유마진을 계산하였다.

A Simple Method for the Assessment of Fusarium Head Blight Resistance in Korean Wheat Seedlings Inoculated with Fusarium graminearum

  • Fusarium head blight (FHB; scab) caused mainly by Fusarium graminearum is a devastating disease of wheat and barley around the world. FHB causes yield reductions and contamination of grain with trichothecene mycotoxins such as deoxynivalenol (DON) which are a major health concern for humans and animals. The objective of this research was to develop an easy seed or seedling inoculation assay, and to compare these assays with whole plant resistance of twenty-nine Korean winter wheat cultivars to FHB. The clip-dipping assay consists of cutting off the coleoptiles apex, dipping the coleoptiles apex in conidial suspension, covering in plastic bag for 3 days, and measuring the lengths of lesions 7 days after inoculation. There were significant cultivar differences after inoculation with F. graminearum in seedling relative to the controls. Correlation coefficients between the lesion lengths of clip-dipping inoculation and FHB Type II resistance from adult plants were significant (r=0.45; P<0.05). Results from two other seedling inoculation methods, spraying and pin-point inoculation, were not correlated with adult FHB resistance. Single linear correlation was not significant between seed germination assays (soaking and soak-dry) and FHB resistance (Type I and Type II), respectively. These results showed that clip-dipping inoculation method using F. graminearum may offer a real possibility of simple, rapid, and reliable for the early screening of FHB resistance in wheat.

데이터마이닝을 활용한 해군함정 수리부속 수요예측 (Naval Vessel Spare Parts Demand Forecasting Using Data Mining)

  • Recent development in science and technology has modernized the weapon system of ROKN (Republic Of Korea Navy). Although the cost of purchasing, operating and maintaining the cutting-edge weapon systems has been increased significantly, the national defense expenditure is under a tight budget constraint. In order to maintain the availability of ships with low cost, we need accurate demand forecasts for spare parts. We attempted to find consumption pattern using data mining techniques. First we gathered a large amount of component consumption data through the DELIIS (Defense Logistics Intergrated Information System). Through data collection, we obtained 42 variables such as annual consumption quantity, ASL selection quantity, order-relase ratio. The objective variable is the quantity of spare parts purchased in f-year and MSE (Mean squared error) is used as the predictive power measure. To construct an optimal demand forecasting model, regression tree model, randomforest model, neural network model, and linear regression model were used as data mining techniques. The open software R was used for model construction. The results show that randomforest model is the best value of MSE. The important variables utilized in all models are consumption quantity, ASL selection quantity and order-release rate. The data related to the demand forecast of spare parts in the DELIIS was collected and the demand for the spare parts was estimated by using the data mining technique. Our approach shows improved performance in demand forecasting with higher accuracy then previous work. Also data mining can be used to identify variables that are related to demand forecasting.

  • Non oxide ceramics such as nitrides of transition metals have shown significant potential for future economic impact, in diverse applications in ceramic, aerospace and electronic industries, as refractory products, abrasives and cutting tools, aircraft components, and semi-conductor substrates amid others. Combustion synthesis has become an attractive alternative to the conventional furnace technology to produce these materials cheaply, faster and at a higher level of purity. However he process os highly exothermic and manifests complex dynamics due to its strongly non-linear nature. In order to develop an understanding of this process and to study the effect of operational parameters on the final outcome, numerical modeling is necessary, which would generated essential knowledge to help scale-up the process. the model is based on a system of parabolic-hyperbolic partial differential equations representing the heat, mass and momentum conservation relations. The model also takes into account structural change due to sintering and volumetric expansion, and their effect on the transport properties of the system. The solutions of these equations exhibit steep moving spatial gradients in the form of reaction fronts, propagating in space with variable velocity, which gives rise to varying time scales. To cope with the possibility of extremely abrupt changes in the values of the solution over very short distances, adaptive mesh techniques can be applied to resolve the high activity regions by ordering grid points in appropriate places. To avoid a control volume formulation of the solution of partial differential equations, a simple orthogonal, adaptive-mesh technique is employed. This involves separate adaptation in the x and y directions. Through simple analysis and numerical examples, the adaptive mesh is shown to give significant increase in accuracy in the computations.

장거리 반송용 전기자 분산배치 분포권 PMLSM의 추력맥동 저감을 위한 단부형상 설계 (The Design of End Edge Shape for Reduction of Long-Distance Transportation Stationary Discontinuous Armature PMLSM Thrust Ripple with Distributed Winding)

  • 최근 저소음, 고속, 고추력의 반송장치가 요구됨에 따라 영구자석 선형동기전동기가 대두되고 있으나 반송경로 전장에 전기자를 설치하는 선형 동기전동기의 특성으로 인해 장거리 반송장치에 적용시 설치비용의 증가를 가져온다. 따라서 우리는 전기자를 분산시켜 배치하는 방법을 제안하여 비용증가의 문제점을 해결하고자 하였다. 하지만 가동자의 진행시 분산배치된 전기자 사이를 통과하게 되면 전기자의 불연속 구간인 단부에 의해 디텐트력이 발생하여 추력 맥동이 발생하고 기기 성능저하와 소음, 진동의 원인이 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 단부에 의한 영향을 저감하기 위해 전기자 끝단의 치 높이와 보조치 형상에 따른 디텐트력의 특성을 파악하고 다구찌의 실험계획법을 이용하여 단부 효과를 가장 저감할 수 있는 형상을 제안하였다.

유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 시스템 최적 부분구조화 (System Target Propagation to Model Order Reduction of a Beam Structure Using Genetic Algorithm)

  • 부분구조화 기법은 자유도가 많고 복잡한 구조물의 유한요소 해석 모델 단순화에 효율적으로 적용될 수 있는 기법이다. 대표적으로 선형 문제에 대해서는 Craig-Bampton method 등이 있다. Craig-Bampton method는 경계 요소를 제외한 나머지 요소의 불필요한 자유도를 제거함으로써 선형 구조물의 축소를 수행한다. 최근에는 부분구조화 기법과 더불어 구조물의 최적설계를 위해 멀티레벨 최적화 기법이 많이 활용되고 있다. 시스템의 목표를 달성하기 위해 각 부구조에 새로운 목표를 할당하는 기법이다. 본 연구에서는 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 시스템 목표 달성을 위한 각 부구조별 내부 자유도 개수를 새로운 목표로 할당하고 최적화를 수행하였다. 최적화 절차로부터 도출된 부구조별 내부 자유도 개수를 이용하여 시스템의 축소를 수행하였다. 다양한 수치예제들을 통해 축소 모델에 대한 결과를 확인하였으며, 90% 이상의 정확도를 가지는 것을 확인하였다.

Surgical Resection of Cardiac Hemangiosarcoma Using Articulated Surgical Stapler in a Dog

  • This case report discusses the successful surgical resection of cardiac hemangiosarcoma in a dog using an articulated surgical stapler. Cardiac tumors, particularly hemangiosarcomas, have a poor prognosis. Recommended treatment involves surgical removal of the primary tumor, along with chemotherapy. However, the use of staples for cardiac tumor resection has not yet been extensively documented in the veterinary literature. A 10-year-old dachshund with pericardial effusion underwent surgery to remove a right atrial mass. An articulated linear cutting stapler was used for tumor resection. The patient experienced chylothorax as a complication but recovered well. However, the patient later developed respiratory symptoms and died, most likely due to aspiration pneumonia. The surgical stapler provided stability, convenience, and a shorter surgical time during tumor resection. Surgical resection combined with chemotherapy improves the survival of dogs with cardiac hemangiosarcoma. The stability and adjustability of the stapling device make it advantageous for cardiac tumor resection. Although complications, such as chylothorax, can arise, appropriate management can lead to positive outcomes. This case report demonstrates the feasibility and safety of using an articulated surgical stapler for cardiac tumor resection in dogs. Insights from this case can guide future research and clinical practice.

동상방지층의 구조적 평가를 위한 모형 개발 (Development of Model for Structural Evaluation of Anti-Freezing Layer)

  • 현재 도로포장 설계법에 따르면, 동상방지층의 두께는 지역별 온도조건에 따라 결정되는 동결깊이에 의해 결정되며 동상방지층의 지지력은 설계에서 고려되지 않고 있다. 동상방지층을 도로포장체에서 구조층으로 고려할 경우에는 기존 도로포장층의 두께를 감소시킬 수 있으며 보다 경제적인 도로 포장단면을 구성할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 동상방지층의 지지력을 평가하기 위한 통계적 모형을 개발하였다. 동상방지층의 구조적 역할을 규명하고 동상방지층 구조적 평가 모형 개발을 위하여 2m 이하 저성토부, 절토부 및 절성경계부 등을 구분하여 포장 하부층에서 Falling Weight Deflectormeter(FWD) 시험을 계절별로 수행하였다. 본 시험은 동방방지층의 유무에 따른 지지력 차이를 규명하기 위하여 동방방지층이 있는 구간과 없는 구간으로 구분하여 수행하였다. 본 시험결과, 동상방지층이 설치된 구간에서의 FWD 처짐량이 동상방지층 미설치 구간에 비해 0.4~82.6% 작게 측정되어 동상방지층이 포장체에서 지지력을 검증하였다. 다양한 FWD 처짐지수와 동상방지층 두께와의 상관관계를 조사한 결과, 보조기층 파손지수의 차이값(${\Delta}BDI$)과 동상방지층 두께와의 상관도가 가장 높았다. 본 논문에서는 ${\Delta}BDI$값을 선형혼합효과 모형에 적용하여 동상방지층을 구조적으로 평가할 수 있는 모형을 개발하였다.
