마이크로 드로플릿 셀 기법을 이용한 예민화 된 304 스테인리스강의 미세전기화학 특성 (Micro-electrochemical Characteristics of Sensitized 304 Stainless steel Using Micro-droplet cell Techniques)

  • The influences of sensitization on localized corrosion resistance of 304 stainless steel, were investigated, using micro-dropletcell techniques. Micro-droplet cell allows one to align the micro-electrode to the desired spot of the working electrode and measure directly local current with the potentiodynamic polarization, linear polarization and a.c. impedance. Micro-electrochemical tests were carried out inside of the grain and on grain boundaries separately. It was found that sensitization decreased the pitting potential, increasing corrosion current density around grain boundaries. Galvanic current density was also measured between grain and grain boundaries.

Robust Design of Air Compressor-Driving Quadratic Linear Actuator in Fuel Cell BOP System using Taguchi Method

  • The linear actuator has the inherent drawback of air gap variation because its linear motion is usually guided by the springs, which destabilizes the dynamic performance. In order to design the linear actuator to be insensitive to air gap, this paper describes the robust design of the air compressor driving linear actuator using Taguchi method. The orthogonal arrays are constructed with selected control factors and noise factor for minimum experiment. The control factors are thickness of inner magnet, height of upper yoke, thickness of outer magnet and thickness of lower yoke while noise factor is airgap. The finite element analysis using commercial electromagnetic analysis program "MAXWELL" are performed instead of experiment. ANOVA are performed to investigate the effects of design factors. In result, the optimal robust linear actuator which is insensitive to air gap variation is designed.

An assignment method for part-machine cell formation problem in the presence of multiple process routes

  • In this paper we consider the part-machine cell formation decision of the generalized Group Technology(GT) problem in which multiple process routes can be generated for each part. The existing p-median model and similarity coefficient algorithm can solve only small-sized or well-structured cases. We suggest an assignment method for the cell formation problem. This method uses an assignment model which is a simple linear programming. Numerical examples show that our assignment method provides good separable cells formation even for large-sized and ill-structured problems.

  • A thin layer flow cell with cell volume of $8\;{\mu}{\ell}$ was constructed. Diffusion currents of ascorbic acid was directly proportional to the 1/3 power of volume flow rates. A linear dynamic range was obtained at the concentration range between $10^{-7}\;M\;and\;10^{-4}\;M$ of ascorbic acid with a detection limit of $10^{-8}\;M$. Ascorbic acid in the multivitamin product was amperometrically determined at TLFC after simply dissolving mg range ground product in $100m{\ell}$ of pH 7.0 phosphate buffer.

수퍼 샘플링과 보간을 이용한 생물조직 영상의 면적 측정 (Area Measurement of Organism Image using Super Sampling and Interpolation)

  • This paper proposes a method for extracting tissue cells from an organism image by an electron microscope and getting the whole cell number and the area from the cell. In general, the difference between the cell color and the background is used to extract tissue cell. However, there may be a problem when overlapped cells are seen as a single cell. To solve the problem, we split them by using cell size and curvature. This method has a 99% accuracy rate. To measure the cell area, we compute two areas, the inside and boundary of the cell. The inside is simply calculated by the number of pixels. The cell boundary is obtained by applying super sampling, linear interpolation, and cubic spline interpolation. It improves the error rate, 18%, 19%, and 120% respectively, in comparison to the counting method that counts a pixel area as 1.

Photobacterium phosphoreum의 중금속에 대한 반응성 (Response of Photobacterium phosphoreum to Heavy Metal)

  • P. phosphoreum을 이용하여 연속 모니터링 시스템을 개발하고자 free cell과 고정화 세포의 중금속 물질에 대한 반응을 일차로 조사하였다. 고정화 물질로는 절차가 비교적 간단하고 bioluminescence 투과성에 영향을 주지 않는 sodium algmate를 사용하였다. Alginate는 발광미생물의 빛 발생 대사를 저해하지 않을 뿐만 아니라 bioluminescence의 투과성이 탁월하였다. 중금속 물질 중에서 $HgCl_2$, $CdCl_2$, $MnSO_4$, $ZnSO_4$를 선택하여 free cell과 alginate 혼합 세포 및 strontium alginate에 고정화한 세포에 노출시켜 반응을 조사하였으며, 또한 독성 및 strontium alginate에 고정화한 gel을 disc type으로 제조하여 중금속 물질에 대한 bioluminescence의 변화를 조사하였다. Free cell과 disc type의 세포가 alginate 혼합세포 및 strontium alginate로 고정화한 세포에 비해서 비교적 민감한 반응을 보였으며 중금속 물질의 농도에 대하여 bioluminescence intensity의 감소율이 비례하여 나타났다. 특히, 고정화 세포인경우 free cell 보다 중금속의 mass transfer에 미치는 영향 때문에 민감성은 떨어지지만 모두 linear regression curve를 나타내었다. Disc type의 경우 alginate에 혼합한 세포와 strontium alginate로 고정화한 세포보다 민감한 반응을 보인 것은 중금속에 노출된 면적이 넓기 때문으로 사료된다. 독성물질에 대한 반응분석을 위하여 Gamma value로부터 $EC_{50}$을 계산하였으며 이를 이용하여 각 중금속 물질의 농도와 P. phosphoreum의 bioluminescence intensity와의 상관관계 및 각 중금속 물질의 독성정도를 산출하였다. $EC_{50}$값을 이용하여 독성정도를 볼 때 4가지 type 모두 $HgCl_2$가 가장 독성이 강한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 종합해 볼때 P. phosphoreum을 고정화 할 경우 bioluminescence에 거의 영향을 미치지 않을 뿐만 아니라 bioluminescence의 안정성에도 기여하기 때문에 모니터링 시스템에 적용할 수 있다. 특히 disc type의 고정화 제재는 free cell과 동등한 민감도를 나타내었기 때문에 빛 안정성을 유지하면서 수질 모니터링을 위한 bioluminescence제재로 이용이 가능하다.

  • 본 논문에서는 빔포밍 안테나를 탑재한 이동 릴레이(MRS, Mobile Relay Station), 특히 셀 경계 근방에 위치한 이동 릴레이의 링크(link) 의 안정성을 향상시키는 방법에 대해 기술한다. OFDM 통신 방식 기반 시스템의 다중 경로 환경에서의 선형 어레이(Uniform Linear Array)를 이용한 셀 탐색 및 DoA(Direction of Arrival) 추정방법을 제안하였으며, 공간 상관 행렬 기반의 제 1 방법과 이중 차등 상관 행렬 기반의 제 2 방법의 성능을 모의실험을 통하여 평가하였다. 모의실험은 IEEE 802.16e 표준에 기반하였다.

  • Hydrogen linear power system is estimated as the next generation power system which can obtain a performance as same as fuel cell. In order to develop Hydrogen combustion power system with high thermal efficiency, it is very important to understand the basic characteristics of hydrogen combustion and establish combustion stabilization technique of its system. In this study, RICEM(Rapid Intake Compression Expansion Machine) for researching of hydrogen combustion linear power system was manufactured and evaluated, and the basic characteristics of linear RICEM were analyzed.

Performing linear regression with responses calculated using Monte Carlo transport codes

  • In many of the complex systems modeled in the field of nuclear engineering, it is often useful to use linear regression-based analyses to analyze relationships between model parameters and responses of interests. In cases where the response of interest is calculated by a simulation which uses Monte Carlo methods, there will be some uncertainty in the responses. Further, the reduction of this uncertainty increases the time necessary to run each calculation. This paper presents some discussion on how the Monte Carlo error in the response of interest influences the error in computed linear regression coefficients. A mathematical justification is given that shows that when performing linear regression in these scenarios, the error in regression coefficients can be largely independent of the Monte Carlo error in each individual calculation. This condition is only true if the total number of calculations are scaled to have a constant total time, or amount of work, for all calculations. An application with a simple pin cell model is used to demonstrate these observations in a practical problem.

  • In this paper, machine cell formation problem is discussed. To reflect precisely actual manufacturing situations such as routing sequences, production quantities, and machining (or operation) characteristics, a new network presentation (or the problem is proposed. It is formulated as a simple 0-1 quadratic programming model with linear constraints. Then, the model is converted into a 0-1 integer programming model using a variable transformation technique. Lastly, some computational results are presented.
