  • This paper is written by research for the transient characteristics of the Single-phase Line-start permanent Magnet. The Single-phase Line-start permanent Magnet is most likely to substitute for Single-phase Induction Motor which is used about many appliance currently, because that has good points. For example, It has a Line-start of ability and a High-efficiency. And it need not power convergence device. The rotor of The Single-phase Line-start permanent Magnet has cage-bar with permanent magnet. This motor is started by cage-bar. When it entered synchronous condition, the rotor is rotated by the permanent magnet. But the design of the permanent magnet is very important, because the breaking torque of the permanent magnet interrupt to start a rotor. Finally, if Flux Barrier is not concerned, we do not get result of our object. Therefore this thesis is concerned about Flux Barrier.

  • The line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor has a high efficiency and an advantage in constant speed operation regardless of the effect of load variation. However, it is difficult to predict the performance of characteristics accurately, because of the unbalanced starting torque with the initial starting position of the rotor and the generation of a break torque. In this paper the dynamic characteristics of the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor are described and compared with those of the squirrel-cage induction motor through the simulation to find the characteristics of the permanent magnets and the rotor bars in the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor. Finally this paper gives the comparison between the simulation results and the experimental results.

  • This paper attempts to design and present a comparison of classical Direct Torque Flux Control (DTFC) for Line-Start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (LSPMSM) and its equal Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). In order to present an in-depth analysis, both motors for DTFC Voltage Source Inverter (VSI)-fed in the same situations of different conditions are simulated and tested. The advantages of the proposed method for LSPMSM over the PMSM are discussed and analyzed.

  • The interest in permanent magnet synchronous motor is present in a wide area of applications, ranging from high-performance servo drive to line-start application[1]. The are mainly two reasons for this trend: first low rotor losses and second the foiling prices of high-energy magnets. In this paper the dynamic characteristic of the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor are described and compared with those if the squirrel-cage induction motor through the simulation to find the characteristics of the permanent magnets and the rotor bar in the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor.

  • The single phase line start permanent magnet motor has high efficiency and power factor when it operates synchronous speed. The rotor structure is composed of permanent magnet and cage bars. The motor is accelerated by rotor bars and synchronized by magnet and rotor saliency. but starting torque is disturbed by magnet braking torque so, to obtain good starting performance and synchronizing capability. the design of proper permanent magnet is required.   • In this paper, we analyse the dynamic characteristic of 3-phase line start permanent magnet motor considering magnetization. Magnetization vector of NdFeB is obtained from the 2-D FEM magnetization analysis. And comparing the proposed analysis with conventional analysis method, we know that it is necessary to consider magnetization in dynamic analysis.

  • The single-phase line start permanent magnet motor(LSPM) have a rotor cage bar for induction starting and permanent magnets, providing synchronous torque. So, LSPM is vary complex and difficult to analysis transient characteristics and rotor design. In this paper, F.E.M analysis about single-phase line start permanent magnet motor and compare of the single-phase line start permanent magnet synchronous motor's transient characteristics by size and position of rotor bar.
