Evaluation of Material Properties of Welding Zone in Laser Welded Blank and Its Application to Sheet Metal Forming Analysis (레이저 용접 테일러드 블랭크의 용접부 물성평가 및 박판성형 해석에 적용)

  • The material properties of laser welding zone such as strength coefficient, work-hardening exponent, and plastic anisotropic ratio are analytically obtained from those of base metals based on the tensile tests. . The finite element formulation is developed for predicting strain distributions and weld line movements in the forming processes of laser welded blank. The welding zone(WZ) is modelled with the several, narrow finite elements whose material characteristics are based on the experimental results and the analytical equations. In order to show an application of the developed weld element the stamping process of auto-body door inner panel is simulated. FEM predictions are compared and showed good agreements with experimental observations.

  • This paper reports on finite element analysis techniques that may be applied to the study of circular hollow structural sections and related bearing connection geometries. Specifically, a connection detail involving curved steel saddle bearings and a Structural Tee (ST) connected directly to a large-diameter Hollow Structural Section (HSS) truss chord, near its open end, is considered. The modeling is carried out using experimentally verified techniques. It is determined that the primary mechanism of failure involves a flexural collapse of the HSS chord through plastification of the chord wall into a well-defined yield line mechanism; a limit state for which a shell-based finite element model is well-suited to capture. It is also found that classical metal plasticity material models may be somewhat limited in their applicability to steels in fabricated tubular members.

  • To predict strain distributions and weld line movements in the forming processes of tailored blank sheets, the 2-dimensional finite element formulation is developed. The welding zone is modelled with the several, narrow finite elements. The material properties of weld elements are calculated from those of base metals, based on the experimental evaluation. To verify the finite element formulation developed, the forming process of an autobody door inner panel section is simulated. FEM predictions are compared and showed good agreements with experimental measurements.

  • In this paper. we deal wish the I-t characteristic of law voltage distribution fuse. It is used to be thermal characteristic in being produced at fuse element part. The elements are divided low temperature melting element(LTME) by high temperature melting element(HTME). Those parts make of coordination. The characteristic of fuse is decided by material and design etc. used at element. We analysis I-t characteristic curve by using the numerical method. And we compared the curve of simulation with that of experiment

  • In order to accurately measure the high voltage of 22.9[kV] power distribution lines, we investigated the temperature dependence of measuring voltage for single element and stack elements(22, 44, 66 layers, respectively). When one line voltage is 13, 20O[V], the error of measuring voltage with temperature(-25[$^{\circ}C$]~50[$^{\circ}C$]) was decreased with increasing of stack number and stack element with 66 layers was the least error of ${\pm}0.87%$.

  • At present, the demand for electric power increases, the electric power system is complicated. The size of the line-to-ground fault and the line-to-line fault occurred with complication of electric power system continue to increase, therefore several issues are raised. To address these issues effectively, the superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) has been proposed, this study is ongoing. In this paper, we applied the SFCL in three-phase transformer and comparative analysis of the electric power burden to the SFCL. The superconductor is combined to the third winding of transformers in connection structure. In case of a third line-to-line fault, we did comparative analysis of the electric power burden to the SFCL based on the turn ratio of transformer third winding. In this case, we could confirm as the third turn ratio increased, electric power impressed to the superconducting element increased.

  • Experimental and numerical results concerning the flat punch indentation to semi-infinite body with partially constrained free surface are presented The distributions of slip line directions are predicted by Moire fringe analysis using Vinckier's method. A mumerical study is made of the same problem by finite element method and the results are compared with the experimental results. It is shown that the contour feature of possible slip line field is similar to that of well-known Prandtl indentation sloution.

  • By noticing that most waveguide devices were connected to power source through coaxial line, three dimentional finite element analysis using TEM mode incident was tried. When tEM mode was used, being dissimilar to TE$_{10}$ mode incident, analysis model of TEM mode incident has almost the same geometry with real products. Therefore, the degree of trust about analysis result is improved. Reflection coefficients of coaxial line, W/G adaptor, magnetron obtained by simulation was compared with experimental results.

  • 본 논문에서는 단상 LSM(Line-Start Permanent Magnet Motor)의 토크리플 저감을 위하여 고정자 슬롯의 보조권선의 턴 수의 배치를 최적화 하였다. 보조권선의 최적화 과정은 고정자 슬롯 보조권선의 턴수 배치를 통하여 고정자 자속이 가장 정현파에 가까워지는 권선배치를 선정하였으며, DOE(Design of Experiment)를 통해 수행하였다. FEM(Finite Element Method)을 통하여 기존 모델과 최적화 모델의 특성을 비교 검토하였다.

  • To use the EMTP, in this paper, a arcing horn is simulated by non-linear resistor and inductor element using TACS, a tower by distributed parameter model, and lines as K. C. Lee model. Changing lightning current characteristics, lightning position, and tower footing resistor value, we analysis multi-phase flashover characteristics in 765 kV transmission line.
