효율적인 에너지 절감을 위한 센서 LED 스탠드 개발 (A Development of a LED Stand Using Illuminance Sensor for Efficient Energy Saving)

  • In this paper, we present a new lighting control method considering ambient light in addition to the required lighting illumination for efficient energy saving of a LED stand. We estimate accurate environmental illuminance using a cheap illuminance sensor by modeling measured- and actual-illuminance using quadratic polynomial approximation. The relation between PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) duty ratio and illuminance intensity is modeled by a linear model. Illumination of the LED stand is controlled by estimating the difference of required illumination and the estimated ambient illumination. The developed LED stand has reduced electric energy consumption compared with a conventional manually controlled LED stand with the same lighting source. In addition, human subject evaluation shows that the LED stand, which is applied the proposed method, is more satisfactory than conventional ones since the proposed automatic controlled illumination produce more accurately required lighting and it is convenient.

선박 비상조명용 디지털 전원장치 개발 (A Study on the Development of Digital Power Supply for Ship′s Emergency Lighting System)

  • 본 논문은 선박비상조명용 디지털 전원장치의 개발에 관해 연구하였으며, 비상조명용 전원장치는 비상급전시스템, 반 브리지 인버터, 형광램프 기동회로 및 마이크로프로세서 제어시스템 등으로 구성되어 있다. 실험을 통하여 기존의 아날로그형 비상급전시스템에 비해 신속하고 안정된 전력이 공급되고 있음을 확인하고, 인버터의 펄스주파수 가변에 의한 조명제어가 잘 이루어지고 있음을 확인한다.

  • 현재 오디오 신호의 가청주파수와 가시광선 스펙트럼의 매칭을 통한 조명 방식은 다양한 분야에서 연구가 진행되고 있으며 관련제품이 상용화 되어 출시 및 판매되고 있다. 하지만 기존 방식들은 단순한 매핑만을 사용함으로써, 감성을 전달하기에 다소 부족한 면이 있다. 따라서 실질적이고 체계적인 감성디자인을 통한 매칭 알고리즘 및 시스템에 대한 요구가 증가되고 있으며, 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 음원 기반의 LED 컬러 제어를 위한 시스템을 구성해 보았다. 해당 시스템 구성을 위해서 알고리즘을 개발하여 디지털 음원 소스를 이용한 LED 컬러 제어 실험을 진행하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 이용한 실제 LED 컬러 제어 시스템을 통해 알고리즘의 유용성을 입증하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 디지털 음원 기반의 LED 컬러 제어 시스템은 LED 제어 및 다양한 분야에 응용하여 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

LED 조명의 광원별 최소 분광분포를 사용하여 자연광 색온도를 재현하는 방법 (A Method of Reproducing the CCT of Natural Light using the Minimum Spectral Power Distribution for each Light Source of LED Lighting)

  • 인간은 자연 빛에 적응하고 진화해왔으나 현재는 실내 생활의 비중이 높아짐에 따라 생체리듬 교란의 문제가 유발되었다. 이의 해결을 위해 일출~일몰간 다채롭게 변화하는 자연광의 색온도를 재현하는 조명이 연구되고 있다. 자연광 색온도의 재현을 위해서는 색온도가 다른 다수의 LED 광원을 사용하여 조명을 제작한 후 수백에서 수천 단계의 광원별 인가전류의 조합에 대한 광특성을 측정 및 수집하여 제어지표 DB를 구성하고 광특성 매칭 방법을 통해 조명을 제어하였다. 이러한 제어 방법은 인가전류의 조합 단계를 세밀하게 할수록 많은 시간 및 경제적 비용이 발생한다는 문제가 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 LED 광원별 최소 분광분포로 보간 및 조합 연산을 수행하여 자연광 색온도를 재현하는 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 색온도가 다른 광원 채널로 구성되고 각 채널별 256단계의 인가전류 제어 기능을 구현한 LED 조명을 대상으로 채널별 5개의 최소 분광분포(Spectral Power Distribution, SPD)를 실측·수집한다. 이후 수집한 SPD를 대상으로 각 채널별 256단계의 SPD를 생성하는 보간 연산을 수행하고, 채널별 SPD의 조합 연산을 통해 LED 조명의 모든 제어 조합에 대한 SPD를 생성한다. 생성된 SPD를 통해 조도와 색온도를 산출하여 제어지표 DB를 구축한 후 매칭 기법을 통해 자연광의 색온도를 재현한다. 성능 평가에서는 실내 권장 조도 기준을 충족하면서도 평균 오차율 0.18%의 범위 내에서 자연광의 시간별 색온도를 제공하였다.

  • Daylight is regarded by most people as preferred light source for interior lig-hting. With poper design, daylight can save electric lighting during daytime. This paper attemptes to show that bett-er use of daylight might be the balanced use of supplementary artificial lighting at times and places where the natural 1-ighting is inadequate with consequent c-ost and energy saving.

방송조명용 LED 램프를 위한 플리커 저감 조광방식 (The Dimming Methods of LED Lamps to Minimize Flicker for the Broadcasting Lighting)

  • LED lamps are appropriate to the light source for use in broadcasting lighting. When the lighting frequency of LED lamp is different from the shutter frequency of camera, however, the flicker appears on the moving image which is taken by the camera under the dimmed light of LED lamp with conventional dimming methods. In this study, a new dimming method for the LED lamps used as the broadcasting lighting is proposed to minimize the flicker. A lighting period in the proposed dimming method is divided into the several sub-periods which have weight of the bits. Also, the proposed dimming method has characteristics that are optimizing the turn-on timings of two LED lamps to reduce the turn-off periods of the lamps and not to overlap the turn-on periods of the lamps. In the experiments, the incidence of the flicker is taken by the camera under several lighting conditions of the conventional dimming methods and the proposed dimming method. In addition, the brightness values of the frames are obtained in the moving image, and incidence of the flicker is evaluated and compared with conventional methods. From the results, the incidence of the flicker in the proposed method is more improved than the conventional methods.

  • In this paper, We have measured the luminous flux variation of electrodeless fluorescent lamp system reducing a power source to 70% and applying a short interruption caused by the power failure. So we can understood that the protective device for apparatus of power sources is important thing to control electrodeless fluorescent lamp system.

Novel Single-inductor Multistring-independent Dimming LED Driver with Switched-capacitor Control Technique

  • Current imbalance is the main factor affecting the lifespan of light-emitting diode (LED) lighting systems and is generally solved by active or passive approaches. Given many new lighting applications, independent control is particularly important in achieving different levels of luminance. Existing passive and active approaches have their own limitations in current sharing and independent control, which bring new challenges to the design of LED drivers. In this work, a multichannel resonant converter based on switched-capacitor control (SCC) is proposed for solving this challenge. In the resonant network of the upper and lower half-bridges, SCC is used instead of fixed capacitance. Then, the individual current of the LED array is obtained through regulation of the effective capacitance of the SCC under a fixed switching frequency. In this manner, the complexity of the control unit of the circuit and the precision of the multichannel outputs are further improved. Finally, the superior performance of the proposed LED driver is verified by simulations and a 4-channel experimental prototype with a rated output power of 20 W.

비구면 광학계를 이용한 고출력 LED 스포트라이트에 관한 연구 (A Study on the LED Spotlight with a High Power using an Aspherical Optical System)

  • In this study we researched a spotlight in LED lighting. Ordinary LED spotlight was manufactured with characterized property of traveling straightness of LED light source, but multiple use of shell type LED, a yellow band has formed caused by light source interference between the LED. Also, there was a high miscellaneous light efficiency with losing light source homogeneity and efficiency due to light source control uneasiness. The study uses aspheric reflector and aspheric lens, so we can control the light source of LED spotlight with effectively and we reached surface light source by using COB/COM for LED module. Furthermore it can change its use by a reduced scale of light system. It has been designed to make its various application from low power consumption of bicycle lamp, up to high power consumption of automobile lamps and lighthouse.

악천후 시 낮은 도로조명을 이용한 도로 시인성 향상에 대한 연구 (A Research on the Improvement of Visibility Using Low Deck Lighting in Bad Weather)

  • We investigate a fog-detection CCT control system using low deck lighting as a solution to the forward visibility of pole-type street lamps employed on existing roads. The lighting standards were met with a light source that has less compared with those of pole-type street lamps. The results show that the transmission rate was increased by changing the color temperature by automatically recognizing fog in bad weather and minimizing the phenomenon of lighting. In addition, it was allowed to create a safer and more comfortable driving environment for drivers owing to flicker or light pollution of existing pole-type street lamps. As a result, if lighting is used at a lower level than pole-type street lamps, the accident rate caused by securing the driver's forward visibility can be reduced sharply and existing problems can be resolved.
