광원색에 의한 실내공간의 지각변화에 관한 실험연구 (An Experimental Study on the Impact of the Visual Perception by the Change of the Lighting Sources Color)

  • This study suggests the optimum interior environment by projecting the criteria to design the living space light-ing that select the lighting environment among the sever-al environmental factors that influenced on the human perception. As a correspondance between the visual perception and the lighting, visual perception process, vision system, and visual perception system are investigated to compre-hend the lighting, and then conceptual contour of the lighting environments are presented which are transmit-ted the visual informations. As a lighting factors which are influenced on the visu-al perception, light source color is analized. Foundationally, the effect of the lighting methods and the techniques are investigated, and the changes of the lighting methods which influences on the space perception are examined through the previous results. As the changing the light sources color, the changing the subjective feelings of space perception through the ex-periment. This study is concluded with the proposition of the ef-fective lighting and the importance of the lighting envi-ronment.

실내공간 인식에 있어서 조명방법 차이에 대한 효과 - 개인 사무실을 중심으로 - (Effects of Different Lighting Systems on interior perception - Focus on the Individual office room -)

  • The idea to improve the quality of lighting design in interior spaces has gained importance in the last years. This experimental study concentrates on the quality of lighting and the relation between lighting arrangements and perception. A individual office room having four different lighting arrangements was prepared and the differences between the perception of the participants under each lighting arrangement was evaluated. The results suggested that lighting system and arrangements affect interior perception. Wall washing enhanced the impressions of clarity and order, cove lighting enhanced the ceiling higher respectively and other and tungsten-halogenated uplighting made the same space relaxing, private and pleasant.

휴게실 공간의 조명환경에 대한 시각적 감지 및 심리적 반응에 따른 공간 인지도 변화 (Variation of Spatial Cognition According to Visual Perception and Psychological Responses for Lighting Environments in Rest Space)

  • This study examines visual perception and spatial satisfaction according to lighting conditions. Field measurements and surveys were performed in three rest space of university buildings where various lighting conditions were employed. Results indicate that overall impression of space improved when low color temperature, such as 3,000 K governed overall lighting environment and accent lighting was used for wall surfaces. Lighting conditions that kept uniform illuminance levels using area light sources containing fluorescent lamps with 6,500 K failed to keep favorable spatial satisfaction for space. High color temperature was not recommended for lighting in rest space. Asymmetrical illuminance levels formed by low color temperature such as 3000 K is recommended to keep positive mood and improve spatial satisfaction in rest space. Overall impression of the space was influenced by visual comfort, color temperature, spatial satisfaction and brightness. Spatial satisfaction for space was effectively impacted by psychological comfort, color temperature and overall impression for lighting conditions. Psychological comfort in space was influenced by color temperature, spatial satisfaction and visual annoyance from reflected light.

공간 만족도 및 심리적 편안감 향상을 위한 실내 조명환경에 대한 인지효과 (Cognitive Effects on Lighting Environment for Improvement of Spatial Satisfaction and Psychological Comfort)

  • Occupants' visual perception, psychological responses and spatial satisfaction under various indoor lighting environments were analyzed in this study. Field measurements and surveys were conducted in four coffeeshop space where different lighting conditions were used. Results imply that worse visual comfort was reported under direct lighting conditions that exposed light sources to occupants. To improve spatial satisfaction in space, lighting environments should lessen visual thresholds and distraction. Also, necessary illuminance levels should be kept with appropriate color of light that occupants prefer. Worse spatial satisfaction was reported under direct lighting environments, and spatial satisfaction was strongly relevant to visual comfort. Psychological comfort for space was positive in space where visual thresholds were minimized and visual comfort was positively evaluated. Psychological and spatial satisfaction was relevant each other. Occupants preferred to stay longer in space where psychological and spatial satisfaction was positively achieved due to less visual thresholds and improved visual comfort. Better psychological and spatial satisfaction was achieved in space where temporary mood and visual perception were favorably evaluated under indirect lighting environments.

공간감 선호에 따른 조명과 마감재 인터랙션의 지각정도 비교 분석 (Comparison with Perception of Interaction between Finishing Materials and Lighting according to Preference of one's Spatial Sensitivity)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the change of perception and to measure the degree of interaction between the lighting and the finishing materials according to preference types and the impacted factors to the spatial sensitivity of users. To do that, the this change was grasped through the experiment with Likert Scale and ANOVA of SPSS program to the simulated images. The result of this study is as following. Firstly, the personal difference in the perception of space comes from 'attention' in information processing process. The degree of the perception of users change strongly by lighting in the space expressed the 'modern natural'. Secondly, the atmosphere and the degree of perception are different in the preference of users to the spatial sensitivity and in impacted factors which are thought by users in the space sensitives. The users who prefer the 'decoration' feel the mood more strongly in the space. But the users who prefer the 'active' and 'intimacy' are opposite to that. The difference to the degree of perception is greater in the 'classic natural' than the others under the lighting turns on. Thirdly, an in-depth research which is considered of the interaction among the various factors is needed for finding the design methods for inducing the sensitivity of users in the space. And the ranking of the impacted factors should be understanded and applied to the research regarding the changes of perception in the space. Finally, this study has the limitation to be adapted to all of the situation for the space design methods. But this will be a basic data to study the design methods for users's sensitivity in the space.

소규모 사무실의 조명 색 변화에 따른 시각적 감지 및 무드 변화 분석 (Analysis on Visual Perception and Mood for Color of Light in a Small Office)

  • This study examines the influences of correlated color temperature and illuminance on visual perception and temporary mood sensation in a small office. Field measurements and surveys were conducted in a full-scale mock-up model. Twenty subjects participated in the survey under six lighting conditions formed by three color temperature and two illuminance levels. Results indicate that 4000 K color temperature was effective to mitigate glare sensation from light source. Lamps with low color temperature such as 2700 K was not recommended for office lighting since they are likely to caused glare and visual discomfort. Preferred color temperature was 4000 K and 6500 K for 750 lx and 500 lx target illuminance respectively. The increase of illuminance was not an effective contributor to improve mood perception. The illuminance should be lower than 500 lx to achieve good mood, but the illuminance level in office space should be considered with visual performance simultaneously. This study suggests that fluorescent lighting fixtures with 4000 K lamps would be usefully used for office lighting since they formed friendly conditions for better visual performance.

호텔 일식당 주방의 조명 환경에 대한 조리사들의 인식도 분석 - 서울 지역 특1급 호텔을 대상으로 - (Cooks' Perception of Lighting in Kitchens of Japanese Restaurants in First-Class Hotels)

  • This study aims at determining what affects lighting environment of a kitchen in a Japanese restaurant in a hotel and at analyzing. cooks' perception during cooking and appropriate lighting they consider to be important in each working area. For this purpose, 196 cooks working in Japanese restaurants in first-class hotels participated in a survey. After analyzing the results, cooks attach importance to illumination during cooking, and the more inappropriate luminosity is in each working area, the lower appropriateness of luminosity recognized by cooks is. And there is strong correlation between lighting environment items and illumination in each working area. The results suggest that cooks working in a Japanese restaurant in a hotel should be provided with good lighting environment appropriate for each working area. On this ground, it is expected that cooks will see their health and productivity improving.

상업공간에서의 사용자 선호 LED 조명 연색지수와 상관색온도, 조도의 분석 (Analysis of User Preference about the Color Rendering Index, Correlated Color Temperature and Illuminance of LED Lighting in Merchandising Spaces)

  • This study aims to recommend the proper Color rendering index (CRI), the Correlated Color Temperature (CCT), and illuminance levels of Light-Emitting Diode (LED) lighting based on the analysis of the criteria of the current CRI, the CCT, and illuminance levels in merchandising spaces with LED lighting conditions. It would be a basic material to apply in line with user preference for LED merchandising lighting. To this end, it examines relevant literature review on the experiments designed to test whether lighting characteristics affect brightness perception, color appearance, and pleasantness. Highly saturated colors appear brighter than low saturated colors. Two lighting applications - grocery and clothing shop - were created in elaborating the effect of LED lighting characteristics of CRI on color appearance and the CCT and illuminance on pleasantness. The findings show that the criteria of CIE Ra<80 are appropriate to provide better color appearance of illuminated products in terms of LED lighting that can enhance color saturation, particularly for the red color. Furthermore, 2700 K and less than 500 lux for grocery, 4000 K and more than 500 lux for clothing shop are found to be the proper the CCT and illuminance levels respectively to bring better preference under LED lighting.

LED 조명 색도에 따른 시간 인지에 대한 연구 (The Influence of Chromacity of LED Lighting on Time Perception)

  • 최근 LED는 친환경적인 에너지 소비와 자유로운 조명 연출의 가능성으로 각광을 받고 있는 가운데, LED조명을 활용한 인간의 감성적 반응을 유도하는 감성조명에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실내에 설치된 LED조명의 색도를 변화해가면서 실내 생활인들이 시간을 인지하는데 영향을 받는 것을 두 개의 실험연구를 통하여 밝히고 있다. 실험 1(N=28)에서는 3초~20초에 이르는 짧은 시간을 인지하는데 LED 색도의 변화에 따른 영향이 있는가를 살펴보았다. 실험 결과, 난색 계열의 색채조명환경에서는 백색광 환경에 비하여 시간이 더 천천히 지난 것으로 인지한 반면 한색 계열의 색채조명환경에서는 백색광 환경에 비하여 시간이 더 빨리 지난 것으로 인지하는 경향을 발견하였다. 이러한 현상은 주어진 시간의 길이가 길어질수록 더 분명하게 나타났다. 동일한 실험환경에서 진행된 실험 2(N=39)에서는 실험참여자가 6가지 색채조명환경에서 별도의 인지 과제를 수행하는 동시에 90초의 시간을 가늠하였다. 실험참여자가 인지한 90초의 소요 시간과 실제 소요된 시간과의 차이에서, 색채조명환경이 영향을 미치는 현상을 밝혀내었는데, 실험 1에서와 마찬가지로 난색 계열보다 한색 계열의 색채조명환경에서 시간이 더 빠르게 지난 것으로 인지하는 경향을 관찰할 수 있었으나 통계적으로는 유의하지 않았다. 그리고 선호색 계열의 색채조명환경에서는 시간이 더 빨리 가는 것처럼 인지하는 경향을 발견할 수 있었다.

상업지역 보행가로 내 조명이 야간경관 인식에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Landscape Lighting in Pedestrian Street on Perception of Nightscape)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 보행가로 내의 야간조명의 물리적 특성과 일반인 인식간의 관계를 파악하는 것이었다. 이를 위해 보행가로 내의 야간조명의 물리량을 측정하였으며, 이용자의 이용행태, 야간조명의 만족도 및 야간경관 이미지 평가를 실시하였다. 분석결과, 광원의 면적과 광원 갯수는 구간별로 차이가 크게 나타나지 않았으나, 총량휘도, 평균휘도는 구간별 차이를 보였고, 실내등이 광원의 많은 부분을 차지하였다. 이용자 중 남성, 10대, 학생이, 이용행태별로는 월 1~2회, 18~20시, 모임 목적의 이용자가 타 그룹에 비해 야간조명에 대한 만족도가 높게 나타났다. 야간조명의 물리적 요소 중 광원개수, 광원면적, 최대휘도는 야간조명의 만족도와 야간 경관이미지에 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났으나, 총량휘도 및 평균휘도는 높은 상관관계를 나타내었다. 즉, 총량휘도 및 평균휘도가 감소할수록 야간조명의 만족도와 함께 경관이미지의 긍정적 평가도 증가하는 것으로 나타나, 향후 야간경관의 정책 수립 시 이를 반영할 필요가 있을 것이다.
