LED에 의한 무대조명의 조도제어 시스템 (Dimming control system of stage lighting by using LED)

  • Unlike the general lighting systems, stage lighting system requires accurate dimming control and reduction of flicker phenomenon. In this paper, we studied PWM dimming control and linear voltage level control methods. PWM Dimming is easy control and flicker phenomenon of linear voltage level dimming does not happen by experiment result. We concluded that stage lighting dimming system required to combine two techniques of the PWM and linear voltage level dimming control method.

  • 본 논문에서는 가시광 통신시스템에서 조명과 통신의 성능을 동시에 만족하기 위한 Dimming level control 기법을 연구하였다. 일반적으로 가장 많이 사용되는 OOK와 RZ-OOK변조 방식의 경우, 연속적인 Burst Zero Duration이 발생하면 조명 기능이 심각하게 저하된다. 이는 조명뿐만 아니라 시스템 전체의 성능을 열하시키는 원인이 된다. 본 연구를 통해, 기존 시스템의 Dimming level특성을 분석하고, Dimming level을 높이기 위한 기법으로 Illegal Pulse Insertion(IPI) 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 이를 통해, Dimming level을 효과적으로 제어하고 기존 변복조 시스템에서 나타나는 플리커(flicker) 현상과 Dimming level 감소를 해결하여 조명과 통신 양쪽 모두의 QoS를 향상 시킬 수 있다.

알고리듬 변화에 따른 직/간접 조명시스템에 대한 디밍제어 효과분석 (Analysis on Dimming Control Effect by Algorithm Variation for Direct/Indirect Lighting in a Small Office)

  • This study examines the influence of control algorithms on dimming performance to determine appropriate control setting when direct/indirect lighting is controlled by a daylight dimming system. Computer simulation were performed for a small office with double skin envelope under various daylight conditions. A retractable fabric shading and Venetian blind were applied for internal and external envelopes under three CIE standard sky conditions. Unshielded and partially-shielded photosensors were used, and three control algorithms were applied for the sensors. In general, dimming level was too excessive due to the direct impact of light from lighting fixture to the photosensor. Providing insufficient lighting output, the unshielded photosensor completely failed to secure required illuminance under any daylight condition. When a partially-shielded photosensor was applied under clear sky, three setting points functioned effectively. Less sensitivity for the partially-shielded photosensor was effective to control the dimming system optimally with reasonable energy saving. However, the daylight dimming control system for direct/indirect lighting does not appear to be energy effective when photosensors without enough shielded area is installed on ceiling where light from fixtures reaches directly.

에너지 저감을 위한 사용자 및 위치인식 기술 적용 디밍 조명제어 시스템 연구 (A Study on the User and Location Awareness Technology Applied Dimming Lighting Control System to Save Energy)

  • Although research and technology developments have recently increased to save lighting energy within buildings, such research and technology development are judged to be unsuitable for energy savings since they are limited in the sense that the application of the technology is fragmented. This study proposes a user and location awareness technology applied to dimming lighting control system and verified the effectiveness of energy savings by building a test bed. The results were as follows : 1) This study suggested a user and location awareness technology applied to dimming lighting control system. 2) The system shows 96.6% and 82.8% energy saving rates, respectively, on the basis of one user, compared to an on/off lighting control and the user and location awareness technology applied to on/off lighting control system. 3) The energy consumption of the user and location awareness technology applied to on/off lighting control system and the user and location awareness technology applied to dimming lighting control system increased to 96.6%, 88.3%, and 59.6% and 82.8%, 85.0%, 51.5%, respectively, on the basis of one, two, and three users, compared to the on/off lighting control system. This study confirmed the energy saving performance of the user and location awareness technology applied to the dimming lighting control system through performance evaluation. In this regard, further study needs to be undertaken to evaluate the performance at night time.

소규모 사무공간에서 디밍제어를 이용한 조명에너지 절약에 관한 연구 (A Study on lighting Energy Conservation in a Small Office Space with Daylight Dimming Control System)

  • 본 연구에서는 소규모 사무공간을 대상으로 주광과 인공조명의 성능 평가를 위한 디밍제어 시스템의 실험을 실시함으로써, 사무소 건물의 조명에너지 절약을 도모할 수 있는 성능 평가 자료를 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 성능 평가폭 위해 Mock-Up Room(3.6${\times}$7.2${\times}$2.6(m))을 사용하여 측정하였으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다; 1) 주광작업면조도와 센서조도간의 상관관계는 디밍 시스템의 성능에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요소이다. 2) 디밍 시스템을 적용한 본 실험에서는 주광과 인공조명을 포한함 총 작업면조도는 월평균 579[lux], 월간 에너지 절감율은 약 53[%]로 나타났다.

  • This study based on the experimental data on the daylight responsive dimming systems performance. The purpose of this study increases the energy-saving effects by reducing excessive intensity of radiation of artificial lighting through analyzing incident daylight. The photosensor sends amounts of detected luminous flux to digital control unit(DCU) as a signal and then, it can decide dimming ratios, by received a proper dimming signal from DCU. Generally it is effective to control artificial lighting with the different control ratio of each row by setting a photosensor as same numbers and rows as artificial lighting. However, it is ineffective to do in initial costs of systems aspect in offices. By analyzing the data of this performance and finding regular ration between photosensors. we will execute different dimming ratios to each row of artificial lighting by a single photosensor.

주광을 활용한 LED조명시스템의 컨트롤에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Control Strategy of LED System Using Daylight)

  • Visual Environment and productivity are correlated. So we need to create a comfortable visual environment and maintain proper workplane illumination level. We can obtain lighting energy savings and comfortable visual environment using daylight and LED lights. In this study, we characterized the indoor illuminance level according to the sky condition and proposed dimming control strategy of LED lights. Energy savings in On/Off control mode are 40% at clear sky and 28% at intermediate sky. In dimming control mode, energy savings are 77.2% at clear sky and 64.1% at intermediate sky. Then we obtain the appropriate dimming control strategy of LED lights based on data. Dimming rates are 0-14.2-80(min-avg-max, %) for LED 1, 0-19.9-60% for LED 2 and 30-61.4-90% for LED 3. Lighting energy savings are 68.2% for LED dimming system applied this control method.

  • 본 논문은 전력시장 환경에서 수요관리 자원으로서 조광제어의 잠재량과 가치평가 방안을 제시한다. 일반적으로 수요자원의 경제성 평가를 위해 캘리포니아 테스트가 널리 사용되고 있다. 하지만 전력산업의 규제완화 및 구조개편으로 인한 새로운 시장 환경에서 캘리포니아 테스트를 적용하는데 한계가 있다. 특히 UC 테스트는 수직통합 전력회사에 적합하지만 발, 송, 배전이 분할된 전력회사에는 적합하지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 전력시장 환경에서 전력판매회사 관점에서 수요관리 자원으로서 조광제어의 경제성을 평가하는 새로운 방법을 제시한다. 먼저 조광제어 자원의 잠재적 가치를 분석하고, 2006년 전력시장 데이터를 이용하여 판매회사 관점에서 조광제어의 경제성을 평가한다. 본 논문의 결과는 조광제어 자원이 전력판매회사 관점에서 비용-효과적인 수요관리 자원임을 보여 준다.

TRIAC 디밍제어방식을 적용한 실내 LED 조명기기의 전도성 잡음 저감에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reduction of Conducted Noise Emission from an Interior LED Lighting Module with TRIAC Dimming Control)

  • This paper analyzes the noise sources of an LED lighting module with TRIAC dimming control and proposes an improved EMI filter design for the reduction of conducted noise emission. TRIAC dimming invokes problems of input oscillation and capacitor overvoltage at the lighting module. The proposed double LC filter reduces high noise level from the circuit. The experimental and simulation results show that this approach can make significant contributions to the reduction of conducted noise emission from an LED lighting module with TRIAC dimming control.

방송조명용 LED 램프를 위한 플리커 저감 조광방식 (The Dimming Methods of LED Lamps to Minimize Flicker for the Broadcasting Lighting)

  • LED lamps are appropriate to the light source for use in broadcasting lighting. When the lighting frequency of LED lamp is different from the shutter frequency of camera, however, the flicker appears on the moving image which is taken by the camera under the dimmed light of LED lamp with conventional dimming methods. In this study, a new dimming method for the LED lamps used as the broadcasting lighting is proposed to minimize the flicker. A lighting period in the proposed dimming method is divided into the several sub-periods which have weight of the bits. Also, the proposed dimming method has characteristics that are optimizing the turn-on timings of two LED lamps to reduce the turn-off periods of the lamps and not to overlap the turn-on periods of the lamps. In the experiments, the incidence of the flicker is taken by the camera under several lighting conditions of the conventional dimming methods and the proposed dimming method. In addition, the brightness values of the frames are obtained in the moving image, and incidence of the flicker is evaluated and compared with conventional methods. From the results, the incidence of the flicker in the proposed method is more improved than the conventional methods.
