  • This study is based on Tim burton's 'The nightmare before christmas' and analyzation was made to see how he used lights and to understand his unique color visual story telling style. The analyzation revealed that Tim burton used second class hollywood movies of $1930{\sim}60's$ and classical lighting style. He used this lighting style in 'The nightmare before christmas' as a really strong visual structure which substantially attributed to maintains it's fantastic mood consistently.

  • A study on that LED in 36[W] class replaces broadcast illuminator to save energy and improve the quality of film because tungsten halogen illuminators are too hot and spending lots of electrical capacity at the time of camera shooting. And the following result was obtained .36[w] LED lighting fixture's illuminance is lower than 1[kw] halogen Light but object's illuminance became higher, and at the image be showed very bright and softly.

  • This parer is the among educational environment, lighting's role is more important since it improves the visual tasks, capability of work, and it help to build both balanced mind and body. Also, since students need spend most of their time inside rather than outside, students need appropriate illuminance everyday. If optimum illuminance and distribution of luminance is properties controlled, people can decrease the fatigue of eyes, and also, people can maximize their efficiency of work. This present studying class chose of two school measured illuminance using the computer simulation improved ratio of luminance and luminance by distribution of lighting improve the economy and energy saving.

  • This thesis is about Heat-sink design which is considered as the biggest problems for commercialization of LED lighting and suggests how to solve the problems though analysis on heat-sink using COMSOL. The temperature difference after simulation value and modelling was $10^{\circ}C$by Transient analysis of Heat Transfer Module which is in the COMSOL Multiphysics. The result approximated the object which is close to actual lighting, when various elements are used according to temperature change of interior and exterior surroundings LED lighting is set up.

  • This paper deals with the effectiveness of a fiber optic solar lighting system that uses a Fresnel lens mounted on a two-axis solar tracker. A series of comparative analyses were made concerning its performance as compared to fluorescent lighting by using a simulation model based on ECOTECT and RADIANCE as well as referring to actual data. ECOTECT was used to model the test room (space) while RADIANCE was used for its indoor lighting conditions (environment). It was found that the average indoor light levels of fluorescent lighting fully satisfy the KS standard (KS A 3011, general office, class [G]: 300-400-600lux) whereas those of the solar lighting with light diffusers depends on the occlusion factor of roller shades installed on the south window.

  • 최근들어 메탈핼라이드램프의 아크튜브에 사용되던 석영관을 내열성 및 내식성이 우수한 alumina ceramic 재질의 아크튜브에 교체한 세라믹 메탈핼라이드램프가 개발되었다. 이러한 세라믹 메탈핼라이드램프는 기존 석영관 메탈핼라이드램프에 비해 고효율, 고연색성 및 장수명 등 우수한 특성을 가지고 있어 램프의 compact화를 통해 150W이하의 옥내 상업용 조명시설에 급속한 보급이 이루어지고 있으며 국내에서도 이러한 세라믹 메탈핼라이드램프 개발을 위한 연구가 진행 중이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 국내 세라믹 메탈핼라이트램프(Ceramic Metal Halide lamp)의 개발에 필요한 국외 선진 제품에 대한 특성 DB구축을 위하여 150W급 세라믹 메탈핼라이드램프의 아크튜브 구조 및 치수를 측정하고 weibull++6을 이용한 성능열화데이터 분석을 통해 세라믹 메탈핼라이드램프의 수명을 예측해 보았다.

  • This paper provides an novel two-stage LED driver circuit for LED lighting equipment. The proposed driver circuit reduces voltage stress in LED driver circuit by using multi-level output voltage of PFC flyback converter. The proposed circuit satisfies IEC61000-3-2 class C regulation that is applied to lighting equipment over 25W and uses PWM to control brightness of wide extent. In this paper, the principle of proposed driver circuit is presented. A prototype has been built and tested. The experimental results are presented to show the validity of the proposed circuit.

An Approach to the Theoretical Design Standard and Effective Practice of Museum Showcase Lighting (진열장 조명의 이론적 기준과 시설에 대한 고찰)

  • There have been many studies and experiments regarding exhibition lighting. Many experiments on photochemical damaging effect and visibility resulted in a practice limited to assigning light levels and adjusting annual exposure time. The three damaging factors to the artifacts are intrinsicsusceptibility to absorb radiant energy, spectral distribution of light source and intensity of illumination and time of exposure. Dividing all the artfacts into three categories to suggest a recommended illuminance level causes some problems. Blue wool, for example, used as the reference material for susceptibility, is not a standard material representing museum artifacts. In the most light sensitive category, ISO class I or anything below have been excluded. The exposure time of one soure can be three times more than another sourece. The spectral distribution of the light source and the relative spectral responsibility of the artifact are not considered in the practice. So in case of very light sensitive material, the recommended illuminance is only the referring value and it is indispensable to check the characteristic of susceptibility of each artifacts. Daylighting is prevailing method to solve the psychological need of the visitors. However, it sould transparent, and should not diffused, and the green-house effect must be considered. llluminance uniformity should based on the maximum illuminance to handle the limitation of exposure for the conservation of a large sensitive object such as a painting. Damage index is not absolute reference for selecting the lighting source because it is experimented from the paper of low grade then calculated. Visibility should be increased by reducing the visual noiseand by planning of appropriate luminance contrast. This paper reviews the problems with the previous studies and experiment sand the current exhibition lighting design practice. The plan for museum showcase lighting is to check the susceptibility and to raise the visibility simultaneously.

  • In case when the existing TRIAC phase controlled dimmer is drove for the LED lighting equipments, there are many problems such as the LED flicker in low phase-angles, the acoustic noise and elements damage by increase of the peak voltage in the input filter capacitor, mulfunction by insufficiency of the TRIAC holding current, and the abnormal oscillation by LC resonant. In this paper, we proposes the single-stage quasi-resonant PSR(Primary Side Regulation) PWM converter, and the design, the simulation and experiment are performed. As a result, it could confirm that the proposed PWM converter is the lighting equipments for LED drive which can alternate the existing 60W class incandescent bulbs and it has the high drive performance of the efficiency 80% and over, the power factor 0.95 and over under the normal voltage 220V. Finally, total harmonic distortion(THD) is gratified with a standard[1] of the lighting equipments and the durability is evaluated as the high reliablilty of 150,000 hours and over.
