항만 해저침적 위험유해물질(HNS) 회수용 기계장치의 성능요건 분석 (Analysis of Performance Requirements of Mechanical System for Recovery of Deposited Hazardous and Noxious Substances from Seabed around Seaport)

  • 해상을 통하여 운송되는 화학물질은 6,000여종에 이르며, 이러한 화학물질에는 해양을 오염시키거나 해양생물에 해로운 HNS(Hazardous and Noxious Substances)가 포함되어 있다. 해상운송 과정에서 바다로 유출된 HNS는 해상 및 해중에서 물리적, 화학적 변화를 거치게 되는데, 어떤 종류의 HNS는 해저로 침강하여 퇴적되기도 한다. 해저에 침적된 HNS는 해저생태계에 커다란 악영향을 주기 때문에 해저침적 HNS를 탐지·처리하여 회수하는 것이 바람직하다. 따라서 본 연구는 해저침적된 HNS를 회수하기 위한 기계장치를 개발할 때, 최우선으로 고려해야 하는 성능요건을 제시하였다. 해저의 오염물질을 회수하기 위하여 현재 사용되는 다양한 방식의 준설장비에 대하여 조사하고, 준설장비의 방식별 성능지표를 분석함으로써 기계장치에 대한 10가지의 성능지표를 선정하였다. 이러한 성능지표를 활용하여 해저침적 HNS 회수용 기계장치의 개발을 위한 성능요건을 제안하였다. 국내 항만의 수심을 고려하여, 해저침적 HNS 회수용 기계장치의 성능요건을 생산율(50 ~ 300 ㎥/hr), 최대운용수심(50 m), 저질 종류(대부분의 저질 형태), 고형률(10 % 이상), 수평 작업 정확도(± 10 cm), 제한 유속(3 ~ 5 knot) 등으로 제안하였다. 이러한 성능요건은 해저침적 HNS 회수용 기계장치의 개념설계와 기본설계에 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

  • This paper is intended as an investigation of introduction of Maritime Security System. In the last few years, several articles have been devoted to the study of ISPS Code(International Code for the Security of Ships and of Port Facilities). The Diplomatic Conference on Maritime Security held in London in December 2002 adopted new provisions in the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 and this ISPS Code to enhance maritime security. These new requirements form the international framework through which ships and port facilities can co-operate to detect and deter acts which threaten security in the maritime transport sector. Accordingly, the purpose of this paper is to suggest an introduction of Maritime Security System and understanding of ISPS Code.

저속차량 차동장치의 내구성능 해석 (Durability Performance Analysis of a Differential Gear for a Low Speed Vehicles)

  • Low speed vehicle(LSV), golf carts have unique requirements to differential gear design. For double axle torque LSV differential loading conditions were determined with the help of analytical model and ANSYS finite element analysis. With stress safety factor 3.15, fatigue safety factor 1.08 and fatigue life 106 cycle ring gear teeth strength analysis is performed and structure design optimized. This allows reducing overall cost of differential unit.

  • In The Lighting design is important to acknowledge appearance space. Development of artificial light makes a extension to life space in the Modern life. With the rapid development of efficient light sources, have lighting design acquired the tools that allow artificial lighting to be produced with adequate illuminance levels. However, by the task of defining the objectives and methods behind discipline, of deciding on the criteria by which the artificial lighting that is now provide many available data to be anpaied. The main concern is which illuminace levels and types of lighting will ensure optimum visual performance, high productive and safety at design which are affordable. This study is support to standard design process with material reflection rate, installing the lighting fixture, task illuminance level and automatic arithmetic calculation during the lighting design. Lighting Design database can check and support other final lighting level. A quantitative light that is primarily oriented toward providing a recommended illuminance level, the criterion of develop a concept that goes beyond the requirements that would ensure productivity and safety to meet the needs of the architecture and interior space. illuminance level is compose to space task and space code according to KS A 3011. To be able to design the visual effect of an environment the central reference quantity has to provided the Database.

방사광 X-선을 이용한 리튬이온전지 소재의 실시간 구조 분석 연구 (In situ Synchrotron X-ray Techniques for Structural Investigation of Electrode Materials for Li-ion Battery)

  • The development of next-generation secondary batteries, including lithium-ion batteries (LIB), requires performance enhancements such as high energy/high power density, low cost, long life, and excellent safety. The discovery of new materials with such requirements is a challenging and time-consuming process with great difficulty. To pursue this challenging endeavor, it is pivotal to understand the structure and interface of electrode materials in a multiscale level at the atomic, molecular, macro-scale during charging / discharging. In this regard, various advanced material characterization tools, including the first-principle calculation, high-resolution electron microscopy, and synchrotron-based X-ray techniques, have been actively employed to understand the charge storage- and degradation-mechanisms of various electrode materials. In this article, we introduce and review recent advances in in-situ synchrotron-based x-ray techniques to study electrode materials for LIBs during thermal degradation and charging/discharging. We show that the fundamental understanding of the structure and interface of the battery materials gained through these advanced in-situ investigations provides valuable insight into designing next-generation electrode materials with significantly improved performance in terms of high energy/high power density, low cost, long life, and excellent safety.

  • The automotive industry and academic research have been continuously conducting research on standardization such as AUTOSAR (AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture) and ISO26262 to solve problems such as safety and efficiency caused by the complexity of electric/electronic architecture of automotive. AUTOSAR is an automotive standard software platform that has a layered structure independent of MCU (Micro Controller Unit) hardware, and improves product reliability through software modularity and reusability. And, ISO26262, an international standard for automotive functional safety and suggests a method to minimize errors in automotive ECU (Electronic Control Unit)s by defining the development process and results for the entire life cycle of automotive electrical/electronic systems. These design methods are variously applied in representative automotive safety-critical systems. However, since the functional and safety requirements are different according to the characteristics of the safety-critical system, it is essential to research the AUTOSAR functional safety design method specialized for each application domain. In this paper, a software functional safety mechanism design method using AUTOSAR is proposed, and a new failure management framework is proposed to ensure the high reliability of the product. The AUTOSAR functional safety mechanism consists of memory partitioning protection, timing monitoring protection, and end-to-end protection. The fault management framework is composed of several safety SWCs to maintain the minimum function and performance even if a fault occurs during the operation of a safety-critical system. Finally, the proposed method is applied to the Shift-by-Wire system design to prove the validity of the proposed method.

항공 안전 필수 시스템에 대한 독립적 검증 및 확인의 효과도 분석 (The Effectiveness of Independent Verification and Validation of Safety-critical Aviation Systems)

  • 최근 국내에서 항공 관련 안전필수시스템들이 개발되었지만 이들 완성품들은 규정된 요구사항들을 충족시키지 못하여 실용화 또는 상용화 되지 못하였다. 현대 항공 기술의 복잡도가 높아짐에 따라 기존의 검증 및 확인 기술로는 시스템에 잠재된 리스크를 식별하고 줄이는데 어려움이 많다. 이러한 단점들을 극복하기 위해 선진국에서는 독립적 검증 및 확인이라는 새로운 기법에 관심이 모아지고 있다. 이 독립적 검증 및 확인의 효과도에 관한 학술적 연구는 국내에는 전무하고, 국외에서 조차도 매우 희소하게 수행되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 항공선진기관에서 수행한 항공 안전필수시스템에 대한 독립적 검증 및 확인의 응용 연구들을 조사하여 사업에 미치는 여러 가지 효과들을 분석해 본 결과, IV&V는 조기 오류 검출율을 높이고, 내재된 리스크도 조기에 완화하며, 개발 수명주기 후반에 나타나는 재작업 확률을 줄여서 개발 일정 및 비용의 증가를 획기적으로 막아주는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 이 논문은 해상보안체제의 도입방향을 연구하기 위한 것이다. 최근 2, 3년 사이에, 몇 편의 논문이 ISPS Code에 관한 연구를 다루고 있다. 2002년 12월 런던에서 개최된 해상보안에 관한 외교회의에서는 해상보안의 강화를 위하여 1974년 해상인명안전협약의 새로운 규정 및 본 보안규칙을 채택하였다. 이러한 새로운 요건들을 통하여 선박과 항만이 서로 협력하는 가운데 해상수송 분야의 보안을 위협하는 행위들을 감지하고 막을 있는 국제적인 체제가 형성되어질 수 있도록 하였다. 따라서 이 논문의 목적은 ISPS Code를 이해하고 해상보안체제의 도입방향을 제시하는 데 있다.

  • 공동주택이 등장한 이래 지속적으로 고층화하고 있다. 한편 고층 공동주택의 화재위험성 및 화재로 인한 피해의 규모는 더욱 증대되고 있으며 많은 문제를 유발하고 있다. 그러나 화재안전을 위한 현재의 방법론과 법규정은 최소한의 규정이다. 본 연구의 목적은 고층 공동주택에서의 화재시 피난 특성을 분석하고, 한국 미국 일본의 피난관련 법규정의 분석을 통해 그 개선안을 제안하였다. 결과적으로 화재로 인한 예측되는 피해를 최소화하기 위해 법규정 및 실질적인 피난안전성능에 관한 검토가 필요하다.

Food Allergy, a Newly Emerging Food Epidemic: Is the Current Regulation Adequate?

  • Food allergy refers to an immunologically mediated adverse reaction to food, mainly to proteinaceous constituents. Health implications vary between those individuals who experience mild physical discomforts to those with fast-acting, life-threatening anaphylactic reactions. The prevalence of food allergy is higher in children than in adults, estimated around 4-8% and 1-2% respectively in developed countries. Food allergy has no effective cure at the present time and total avoidance of causative foods is the most reliable prophylactic method currently recommended by the medical community. To help food allergic patients to make informed choices of their foods, mandatory labeling of selected food allergens has been introduced in several countries. All food allergen labelling provisions specify a set of allergens common to the regulated countries. Policy divergence, however, exists between countries by inclusion of additional allergens unique to specific countries and enforcement of specific labelling requirements. Such variations in food allergen labelling regulations make it difficult to manage allergen labeling in imported pre-packaged food products. This paper addresses two current issues in food allergen regulation: 1) an urgent need to determine true prevalence of food allergy in the Asia-Pacific region. This will enable refinement to the food allergen regulation to be more country-specific rather than simply adopting CODEX recommendations. 2) There is an urgent need for harmonization of food allergen regulation in order to prevent food allergen regulation becoming a trade barrier.
