파레토 인공생명 최적화 알고리듬의 제안 (Development of Pareto Artificial Life Optimization Algorithm)

  • This paper proposes a Pareto artificial life algorithm for solving multi-objective optimization problems. The artificial life algorithm for optimization problem with a single objective function is improved to handle Pareto optimization problem through incorporating the new method to estimate the fitness value for a solution and the Pareto list to memorize and to improve the Pareto optimal set. The proposed algorithm was applied to the optimum design of a journal bearing which has two objective functions. The Pareto front and the optimal solution set for the application were presented to give the possible solutions to a decision maker or a designer. Furthermore, the relation between linearly combined single-objective optimization problem and Pareto optimization problem has been studied.

저강도 복합운동프로그램이 여성노인의 일상생활체력과 낙상효능감에 미치는 영향 (Effect of a Low-Intensity Combined Exercise Program using Props on the Daily Living Fitness and Quality of Life of Elderly Women)

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of a low-intensity combined exercise program on daily physical fitness parameters such as balance, flexibility, muscle strength, and fear of falling of elderly women in the community. METHODS: This study assigned 30 elderly women randomly into two groups: The control and experimental groups. The control group (n = 15) underwent routine gait. The experimental group (n = 15) underwent the low-intensity combined exercise. The exercise program in this study comprising combined exercise, including balance, flexibility, muscle strength training, and the exercise program using props was conducted twice a week for 8 weeks. RESULTS: The average age of the control and experimental groups was 77.27 years and 78.33 years, respectively. There were significant differences in static balance (t = -4.167, p < .001), dynamic balance (t = 2.463, p < .001), (t = -3.870, p < .001), (t = -2.262, p < .001), (t = -5.732, p < .001), (t = -6.573, p < .001), and fear of falling (t = -5.129, p < .001). CONCLUSION: The results show that low-intensity combined exercise is an effective intervention that improves physical health fear of falling in older women. The combined exercise program was found to be more effective in terms of physical function and fall-related psychological function compared to the control group that only walked.

  • Recently, social technologies have been created to solve problems from businesses for the establishment of generational solidarity ecosystem in terms of employment, residential space, network and social capital, age, cognitive and environmental aspects. This is senior-friendly healthcare business system aimed at meeting the senior needs for health life to enjoy active consumption culture life even after retirement, becoming a catalyst for minimizing generational conflicts, preventing the cognitive and physical deterioration of seniority in the areas of life healthcare, fitness and well-aging, and expanding into systems necessary for seniority self-reliance. We would like to draw up the development and requirements of the concept of the service platform for the study of collective characteristics for generation solidarity with senior class and the establishment of a customized senior health life system for generation solidarity. This system is characterized by a platform that can prevent the decline of seniors' cognitive and physical functions and enhance emotional stability. It is significant in providing feedback on the risk perception index, fall index, and prevention training index information to the child through the analysis and extraction of the senior health index for risk perception, fall probability, and fall prevention.

Concrete mix design for service life of RC structures exposed to chloride attack

  • The purpose of this research is to propose a design technique of concrete mix proportions satisfying service life through genetic algorithm (GA) and neural network (NN). For this, thirty mix proportions and the related diffusion coefficients in high performance concrete are analyzed and fitness function for diffusion coefficient is obtained considering mix components like w/b (water to binder ratio), cement content, mineral admixture (slag, flay ash and silica fume) content, sand and coarse aggregate content. Through averaging the results of 10 times GA simulations, relative errors to the previous data decrease lower than 5.0% and the simulated mix proportions are verified with the experimental results. Assuming the durability design parameters, intended diffusion coefficient for intended service life is derived and mix proportions satisfying the service life are obtained. Among the mix proportions, the most optimized case which satisfies required concrete strength and the lowest cost is selected through GA algorithm. The proposed technique would be improved with the enhancement of comprehensive data set including wider the range of diffusion coefficients.

12주 걷기운동이 비만과 일반 여중생의 건강관련요소, GH, IGF-1 및 leptin에 미치는 영향 (Effects of 12-Week Walking Exercise on Health-related Factors, Growth Hormone, IGF-1 and Leptin in the Obese and the Normal Middle School Girls)

  • 본 연구는 운동을 하지 않는 여자 중학생을 대상으로 걷기운동이 체구성, 체력, 심혈관 기능, 혈청지질, GH, IGF-1 및 Leptin에 미치는 효과를 분석하기 위하여 걷기운동을 12주간 수행한 결과 비만집단과 일반집단 모두 체구성, 체력 심혈관 기능, 혈청지질 및 인슐린 인자에서 긍정적인 변화를 보였으며, 특히 비만집단은 체지방의 감소효과가 컸고, 일반집단은 근육량의 향상에 효과가 컸으며, 두 집단 모두 체력요인의 향상이 있었고 심혈관 기능과 혈청지질 및 인슐린 인자의 변화에도 여러 요인에서 유의한 효과가 있었다. 이러한 결과는 청소년시기에 바쁜 생활패턴에서 걷기운동만으로도 여중생의 체구성과 체력을 정상적으로 유지시킬 수 있는 좋은 운동 프로그램이 될 수 있음을 나타내고 있다. 그러나 이러한 긍정적인 변화를 지속시키기 위해서는 올바른 식습관(diet)과 보다 긴 걷기운동시간이 필요하다. 본 실험의 대상자들 또한 실험기간 중 정해진 운동시간외에 개인적 걷기운동량이 하루 15분정도 증가하였다. 운동추후의 연구에서는 운동기간의 증가와 운동 강도의 증가에 따른 지속적인 변화의 분석을 위한 연구가 필요하다고 생각된다.

무릎의 신체 기능 개선을 위한 생활방식 중재 재활 전략 (Rehabilitation Strategies in Lifestyle Intervention for Improving the Physical Function of the Knee)

  • Purpose: Lifestyle intervention (LSI) provides basic recommendations that improve the quality of life and health of patients with minor disabilities. The LSI intervention strategies are associated with active living, healthy weight, healthy eating, and emotional stability. These intervention strategies can change an unhealthy lifestyle to a healthy lifestyle and provide important health care information. Main issue: This study focused on a new LSI-based knee rehabilitation protocol and proved the effect of exercise prescription on the knee. The clinical significance of this study demonstrated that continuous rehabilitation, effective rehabilitation, and recurrence prevention can be achieved by prescribing the appropriate exercise for patients after discharge. Therefore, practical lifestyle medicine knowledge and information are provided by the home-based rehabilitation self-exercise program with the new LSI-based knee rehabilitation protocol. Conclusions: The LSI-based protocol can improve and maintain health conditions and knee function. With the aim of improving self-care abilities, this program is expected to make significant contributions recurrence prevention, reduced mortality, and improved quality of life, physical function, and fitness.

Feasibility and Effects of a Postoperative Recovery Exercise Program Developed Specifically for Gastric Cancer Patients (PREP-GC) Undergoing Minimally Invasive Gastrectomy

  • Purpose: Exercise intervention after surgery has been found to improve physical fitness and quality of life (QOL). The purpose of this study was to investigate the feasibility and effects of a postoperative recovery exercise program developed specifically for gastric cancer patients (PREP-GC) undergoing minimally invasive gastrectomy. Materials and Methods: Twenty-four patients treated surgically for early gastric cancer were enrolled in the PREP-GC. The exercise program comprised sessions of In-hospital Exercise (1 week), Home Exercise (1 week), and Fitness Improvement Exercise (8 weeks). Adherence and compliance to PREP-GC were evaluated. In addition, body composition, physical fitness, and QOL were assessed during the preoperative period, after the postoperative recovery (2 weeks after surgery), and upon completing the PREP-GC (10 weeks after surgery). Results: Of the 24 enrolled patients, 20 completed the study without any adverse events related to the PREP-GC. Adherence and compliance rates to the Fitness Improvement Exercise were 79.4% and 99.4%, respectively. Upon completing the PREP-GC, patients also exhibited restored cardiopulmonary function and muscular strength, with improved muscular endurance and flexibility (P<0.05). Compared to those in the preoperative period, no differences were found in symptom scale scores measured using the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Core Quality of Life Questionnaire (QLQ-C30) and Quality of Life Questionnaire-Stomach Cancer-Specific Module (QLQ-STO22); however, higher scores for global health status and emotional functioning were observed after completing the PREP-GC (P<0.05). Conclusions: In gastric cancer patients undergoing minimally invasive gastrectomy, PREP-GC was found to be feasible and safe, with high adherence and compliance. Although randomized studies evaluating the benefits of exercise intervention during postoperative recovery are needed, surgeons should encourage patients to participate in systematic exercise intervention programs in the early postoperative period (Registered at the ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT01751880).

후천성 지체장애인의 건강관련 삶의 질 모형구축 (Construction of Health-related Quality of Life Model in Acquired People with Physical Disabilities)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to construct a structural model for explaining model health-related quality of life in acquired people with physical disabilities. Method: The hypothetical model of this study was consisted of 6 latent variables and 14 observed variables. Exogenous variables included in this model were physical status and economical level. Endogenous variables were social attitudes, family function, self-esteem, and health-related quality of life. Data were collected from 226 acquired people with physical disabilities residing in Seoul and Kyunggi-do from January to February, 2005. The collected data were analyzed using SAS 8.2 version and LISREL 8.32 version program. Results: The results of the fitness test of the modified model were follow as; ${\chi}^2=67.479$ (df=50, p=.05), GFI=.959, AGFI=.914, SRMR=.049, NFI=.961, NNFI=.979, CN=249.244. Health-related quality of life was influenced directly by physical status, economic level, and social attitudes and accounted for 88.8% of the variance by these factors. Conclusion: These results suggest that physical status is the most significant effect on health-related quality of life, and social attitudes and economic level are important factors having influences on health- related quality of life. Therefore improving physical status and economic level, and modifying negative attitudes are necessary to increase health-related quality of life of acquired people with acquired physical disabilities.

염해에 노출된 콘크리트의 내구수명 확보를 위한 최적 배합 도출에 대한 연구 - 유전자 알고리즘의 적용 (Study on Optimum Mixture Design for Service Life of RC Structure subjected to Chloride Attack - Genetic Algorithm Application)

  • 콘크리트의 염화물 확산계수의 제어는 염해에 노출된 콘크리트 구조물의 내구수명 확보에 필수적이며, 이를 위해 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 본 연구는 목표 내구수명을 만족하는 목표확산계수를 도출하고 유전자 알고리즘을 통하여, 최적배합을 도출하는데 있다. 이를 위하여, 동일한 골재 및 혼화재를 사용한 30개의 배합과 그에 따른 염화물 확산계수를 분석하였으며, 27개를 대상으로 확산계수 예측식을 도출하였다. 확산계수 예측식의 변수로는 물-결합재비, 단위 혼화재량(슬래그, 플라이 애쉬, 실리카퓸), 단위 시멘트량, 단위 잔골재 및 굵은 골재량을 포함하도록 하였으며 나머지 3개의 배합에 대하여 검증을 수행하였다. 최적 함수식은 27개의 배합에 대하여 평균 18.7%의 오차와 16.0%의 변동계수를 보이고 있었다. 주어진 3개의 확산계수에 대하여, 유전자 알고리즘을 통하여 도출된 배합은 0.3%~12.2%의 오차범위를 가지며 각각의 배합인자를 도출하였다. 최종적으로 서로 다른 내구성 설계변수(목표내구수명, 피복두께, 표면염화물량, 혼화재량)와 노출환경(온도 및 습도)을 가정하여 목표 확산계수를 도출하였으며, 이에 만족하는 최적화된 콘크리트 배합을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서는 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여, 내구성 콘크리트 배합도출에 대한 적용성을 평가하였으며, 제안된 기법은 다양한 확산계수의 범위를 가지는 광범위한 자료구축을 통하여 개선될 것이다.

경호무도전공 남자대학생들의 유도수련이 신체구성, 행동체력, 성장호르몬 및 IGF-1에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Judo Training of Male University Students Security Martial Art Majoring on Body Composition, Behavioral Fitness, Growth hormone and IGF-1)

  • 경호원은 경호 대상자의 신변을 외부의 우발상황과 위협에 대비하고 대처하기 위해 기본적인 체력훈련과 경호무도를 지속적으로 수련하고 있으며, 현재 경호전공 대학생들은 보편적으로 상대를 잡고 메치고 제압하는 기술을 유용하게 사용할 수 있는 경호무도 중 하나인 유도 수업을 의무적으로 실시하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 10주간의 유도수련 운동프로그램을 통해 체계적인 훈련이 경호무도전공 남자대학생들의 신체구성, 행동체력, 성장 호르몬 및 IGF-1에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 파악하여 경호무도로써 유도의 가치를 제고할 수 있는 객관적 자료를 제공하는데 의의를 두었으며, 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 10주간의 유도수련 후 근육량은 유의하게 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 체지방률과 BMI 등은 유의하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 행동체력의 근력과 순발력은 유의하게 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 성장호르몬은 유의하게 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 유도수련 대학생들은 전반적으로 신체구성은 긍정적으로 개선되었고 행동체력의 근력과 순발력은 향상되었으며, 성장호르몬을 증가 시켰다. 따라서 유도수련을 통한 근력과 성장호르몬의 증가는 신체의 근육의 발달로 인해 지방 분해를 촉진시키고 척추의 골밀도를 높여서 골절의 위험을 줄여 수련자들의 부상을 방지해 줄 것이다. 또한 비만 예방, 심혈관질환, 대사성질환을 방지하여 경호업무기능을 높여 주고 경호원으로서의 수명을 연장하는 계기가 될 것으로 사료된다.
