Much investment has been to improve quality of web service as internet service is in pursuit of equilibrium. Web site of electronic library which offers various information has to be set a new standard for improving users service satisfaction by developing objsctive evaluation system. In this research we acquired standard of evaluation parameter such as contents, design, navigation, feedback, reference, privacy by analyzing domestic web site of electronic library We evaluated constructed model of usability evaluation using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). We develop 'digital library web site evaluation model' based systematic analysis through polling category selected as evaluation guide.

The purpose of this study is to introduce the concepts of smartphone and app, to review the theoretical researches and the representative service examples in academic libraries' mobile services based on smartphone apps, and to propose the proper mobile services methods based on smartphone apps in academic libraries of Korea. The ways for mobile app services in academic libraries are like these: 1) Libraries need to prepare the hybrid service system based on the combination of mobile web and app for smartphone. 2) Libraries have the guidelines for choosing apps which are applied to library services. 3) Libraries develop the apps for library marketing and education services and make use of existed apps to their own services. 4) Smartphone application bibliography service(Appography service) needs to be developed and serviced as an academic library service field.

The Purpose of this study is to explore and analyse ways of enhancing the effectiveness of reference service through reference evaluation. Marketing research technique combined with pre-evaluation theory was applied in this study to find out information for practice the service based on current concept of reference service. Aims and results of this study can be summarised as follows: First, the evaluation of effectiveness of reference service should be conducted for the purpose of finding out the ways of increasing user's satisfaction. Second, the policy evaluation was understood as the appropriated evaluation concept. The policy evaluation in principle coincides with reference service in sense that the satisfaction of public should have priority and hence be the criterion of the evaluation. Third, marketing research based on recently developed 'marketing concept', which concentrates all its efforts to meet user's demand and attempt to acquire the information for better marketing management of non-profit organization such as library, is examined to find out the evaluation method practically applicable to the pre-evaluation of reference service. In this study , conjoint analysis was adopted as the method of pre-evaluation about reference service. The Reference Room of the Central Library Yonsei University, was selected as the arget sample to find out the expected condition for the maximization of the user's satisfaction from the reference service. Based on this example study, the analysis indicates as the most desirable combination for reference service in terms of the user's satisfaction is following condition: the younger librarian with aimable personality who displays willingness In his/her assistance, plus as the method of reference service, sufficient and practical introduction to the reference materials available, plus immediate and satisfactory result of the service, and finally a library equipped with inter-library use system.

The goal of this study is to propose the plan for activating collection services of public library in Seoul. For this goal, author analyzed and compared the core infrastructure, collection services, and their correlation of public libraries in 16 local governments and evaluated environment and the current situation of collection service of public libraries in Seoul. Based on the these results, author suggested five plans or strategies for vitalizing the collection services of public libraries. All public libraries in Seoul must maximize the visibility of the new collections, supply the culture(life-long learning) programs based on library collections, expand the breadth of the collection service through library cooperation system, strengthen interlibrary loan by establishment of the collaborative repository, and raise the awareness of the citizens about the library and collections.

The purpose of this study is to suggest knowledge-based digital library model that is applicable in korea university library. This paper provides brief accounts of research and development trends of digital library in referring some major digital library projects that are in progress, or just completed. There follows a suggestion of eight essential modules for knowledge-based digital library system, that are infrastructure development of dissertation presentation and database construction, management and service of collections, infrastructure construction of journal service, development of unified viewer, database conversion, distributed & integrated retrieval system, cyber campus(private work space), and database connection.

As commercialization of the Internet has brought flood of information and the proportion of electronic source in the library collection has been gradually increasing, it is highly important for the library to quickly obtain and utilize the latest information. SDI service is expected to fulfill the needs providing the latest information swiftly and accurately to the digital library users. This study seeks to analyze the current standing of practical application of the SDI service in the universities of South Korea based on surveys and make a proposal on the advancement and extension of the SDI service.

This study intends to design a model that can effectively service policy data necessary for the implementation of new national agenda in order to provide high-quality policy information services that go beyond those of the existing Policy Information Portal (POINT) of National Sejong Library. To this end, it was determined that providing an integrated search environment, in lieu of data search through individual access, was necessary. Subsequently, four possible models for a national agenda service model were presented. First, designing a computerized system for both interface and electronic information source aspects was proposed for the national agenda service system operation. Second, designing the Linked Open Data system and the time-series service system for national policy information, providing the translation service of overseas original data, and securing the researcher's desired data were presented for the national agenda service information source operation. Third, strengthening public relations for policy users, building and promoting the site brand, operating SNS channels, and reinforcing the activation of auxiliary materials and the accessibility of external services were proposed for public relations of national agenda service. Fourth, expanding the information network with Open API, cloud service, and overseas libraries was proposed for collaborating and cooperating with the agenda service.

It is general for industrial body to adopt information system using ASP(application service provider) model according to the increase of management expense. the change of information system circumstance and the trend of application development cycle. ASP model is a variation on outsourcing system support and services. ASP maintains servers and software for different customers at a centralized location. The purpose of this study examined the feasibility to implement school digital library and information system using ASP model. Based upon the examination, this study is suggested information system of school digital library to aspects of H/W, S/W, components. functions.

This study was conducted to suggest the ways of improving legislative information services in the National Assembly Library based on the information needs of the legislative support organization arising from the legislation process done by the National Assembly Members. For the purpose, 20 users of legislative support organizations were interviewed in depth. Based on the analysis of the results, the study suggested the improvement proposals in the areas of services and system. Service improvement reflected the information needs of overseas legislative cases, the need for supplementing policy information, and the areas that need to be promoted Second, in the area of system improvement, it was proposed to raise the service awareness of the legal information system centered on foreign legal information and to operate personalized service that can provide differentiated information services for each legislative support organization.

Although university libraries run by the subject-oriented serviec systems are increasing more and more, many problems are emerging as a result of tying out the subject classification of the sources without an enough advance knowledge, consideration of reality, and the study about effective management of subject-oriented sum system. Through the research of 37 university libraries run by the system of subject-oriented service, it was proved that for the effective subject-oriented service system, the reasonable classification of the subjects, considering the form and structure of the building, the number of users on each subject and the organization of the collection, and the subject librarians, who would take charge of subject-oriented service systems are indispensable. Therefore, the subject-oriented service system to be rooted strongly, the role model of the subject-oriented service system adequate to the reality of Korean university libraries should be developed, and the efforts of the people on the spot such as acquiring enough supports and training of the subject librarians should be arranged.
