The increasing dynamic and distributed nature of a business and manufacturing environment makes it hard to collaborate between design and manufacturing parties. The seamless collaboration necessitates a manufacturing quote service (MQS) that delivers manufacturing quotes timely for designer's requests. After envisioning a SOA-inherited collaboration framework, the paper details MQS' functionalities, and syntax and semantics of collaboration messages (i.e., RFQ and manufacturing quote). The MQS is implemented as a Web Service so as to be accessible by designers. For each RFQ, the MQS adaptively generates a responding manufacturing quote by using the DPM library and real-time shop status information. The paper also presents an evolution process that shows the whole process of RQF generation from given product design data. The proposed framework enabled partners to exchange engineering data rapidly and adaptively during the dynamic collaboration, and also increased the benefits of distributed and global production.

In recent years the service of commercial document delivery has mutured in the library and information field. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the performance of the major document delivery suppliers accessible through the internet. Actual article requests in science and technology were sampled systematically and forwarded to the suppliers selected. Processing data was collected and analyzed in terms of fill rate, delivery time, and cost. Method of delivery was also a criteria of analysis. Results shows that the performance of the commercial suppliers varies according to the criteria. And the knowledge about vendor services and citation verification are important factors affecting the document delivery capability. Finally recommendations based on the results are briefly examined.

Bliss stated that one of the purposes of the classification was to demonstrate that a coherent and comprehensive system, based on the logical principles of classification and consistent with the systems of science and education, may be available to services in libraries, to aid revision of long established classifications and to provide an adaptable, efficient and economical classification, notation and index. A fundamental principle is the idea of subordination each specific subject is subordinated to the appropriate general one. The full scheme followed the publication of two massive theoretical works on the organization of knowledge. Its main feature was the carefully designed maul class order. reflecting Comte principle of gradation in speciality.

Information service for the aged is a new challenge for public libraries in Korea. To develop an internet-based information service at public library perspectives, information sources, information need, and information seeking and using behavior are investigated. Interview survey is performed to 1060 adults aged 60 and over. Finding revealed that the respondents led to few channels to information except for mass media and informal oral communication. It ascertain ways in which 23% of the respondents currently use internet, and identify barriers of nonusers. The information need of the elderly are diverse, but health/medicine, news, hobbies, religion, leisure/travel are most identified need in descending order. Based on data analysis and previous research results, a cooperative service model consisting of information contents, online reference, interface design, and education is developed. Finally problems and suggestions for future improvement are discussed.

To understand the present status and the development of the digital reference service in Korean public libraries, a nationwide site observation was attempted in 2007. The collected data was analyzed, then compared with the previous analysis based on a 2003 data. For the 404 sites offering digital reference, operational characteristics, such as access level, service mode, link description, policy, web form, and FAQ, are analyzed, Performance analysis focused on the presence of question posting, volume of usage, response rate, and types of the questions, for the data collected for 15 days through question and answer transcript recording. Results reveal findings on the present situation as well as changes over 4 years. Related problems are identified. The conclusion includes suggestions for improving digital reference service.

Ip over ATM and LAN Emulation over ATYM are cimmon methosd for applications to use ATM netework.But these can hardly provide full ATM serviece because of legacy transprot and network protocols they use.This paper presents work of desing and implementation of a Native ATM API that can enable direct use of native ATM scriviccs.In our work, Native ATM API specification which accommodates ATM Forum's "Native ATM Services :Semantic Deseription"has been defined, and based on this, Native ATM API has been implemented of our development are addressed, and implementation envuroment, sofware archiercture, Native ATM API library functions, and applecation programming using our Native ATM API are described.described.

Recently, there has been much research to develope and apply RFID technology, which has a kcy role in the upcoming ubiquitous society, in many fields such as physical distribution, traffic control, medical service, and so on. However, there has been little research on a ubiquitous education or learning including 'u-Campuses' and 'u-Libraries'. Based on the characteristics of RFlD, this paper proposes a system for English learning required in globalization age. RFID tags and sensors utilize wireless communications to track the location and status information of the user to deliver English situated learning services. The current RFID-based system should use quite a different rniddleware, compared with a general-purpose middleware on server or desktop. The RFID system is used on a mobile PDA and consists of essential APIs such as reader and tag control, queue, and filter management.

User authentication and access control are two important components in high security applications. Recently, Chen and Yeh proposed a method to integrate both of them seamlessly. However, Chen-Yeh's scheme is vulnerable to a stolen verifier attack, since it maintains a smart card identifier table in a remote server. Therefore, this paper modifies Chen-Yeh's scheme and propose a new integrated authentication and access control scheme that is resilient to the stolen verifier attack while inheriting all the merits of Chen-Yeh's scheme. Security analysis shows that the proposed scheme withstands well-known security attacks and exhibits many good features.

The dynamic cast operation allows flexibility in the design and use of data management facilities in object-oriented programs. Dynamic cast has an important role in the implementation of the Data Management Services (DMS) of the Mission Data System Project (MDS), the Jet Propulsion Laboratory's experimental work for providing a state-based and goal-oriented unified architecture for testing and development of mission software. DMS is responsible for the storage and transport of control and scientific data in a remote autonomous spacecraft. Like similar operators in other languages, the C++ dynamic cast operator does not provide the timing guarantees needed for hard real-time embedded systems. In a recent study, Gibbs and Stroustrup (G&S) devised a dynamic cast implementation strategy that guarantees fast constant-time performance. This paper presents the definition and application of a cosimulation framework to formally verify and evaluate the G&S fast dynamic casting scheme and its applicability in the Mission Data System DMS application. We describe the systematic process of model-based simulation and analysis that has led to performance improvement of the G&S algorithm's heuristics by about a factor of 2. In this work we introduce and apply a library for extracting semantic information from C++ source code that helps us deliver a practical and verifiable implementation of the fast dynamic casting algorithm.

QR codes, a kind of 2-dimensional barcode, is used to encode information such as simple URLs or namecards. QR codes can store much more information than a just barcode can do. Now QR code is very popular service in our ordinary life. These days many companies has used QR codes in the way of home-page link, especially a production explanation, the material instruction of model houses, the services in a library and on-line events, etc. This paper is going to make a study about how to establish a production process management on the basis of QR codes, addedly, about strong points of QR codes and the examples of using it.
