This paper looks at several areas in which American public libraries are beginning to transform themselves. These include : (1)their mission and roles in the community；(2)the provision of Internet access；(3)remote user access；(4) customer-driven services； and (5) the changing roles and functions of librarians. It also examines some of the other controversial issues that are confronting public libraries as they implement technological change.

The purpose of this study is to explore text data of nursing start-up. 55 literatures were extracted from MEDLINE, Embase and Cochrane Library Data BASE. Text network analysis applied by using python network program. Key words with highest frequency and degree centrality were 'business', 'care', 'nursing', 'healthcare', 'service'. Keywords with highest degree centrality were 'mission', 'vision', 'team'. Based on the results nursing entrepreneurship support should be provided to develop competitive nursing services reflecting the specificity and science of nursing, to strengthen business competencies essential for nursing entrepreneurship, to expand nursing expertise and to present role models. The result will serve a basement to development systematic educational program and theory in nursing start-up.

This study is a foundational research for establishing the basic plan of the Chungcheongbuk-do Central Library. The research investigates the regional conditions of Chungcheongbuk-do and the status of collections, usage, staff, and programs of public libraries nationwide and major representative libraries. Based on this, a SWOT analysis was conducted to derive the vision, goals, and implementation strategies for establishing the basic plan of the Chungcheongbuk-do Central Library. Based on the research findings, the mission of the Chungcheongbuk-do Central Library is presented as "The library that grows alongside the lives of local residents, intersecting knowledge and culture."

The University Press, as a publishing division of the university, is a high quality and low cost scholarly communication system. In contrast to European and American university presses, Korean university presses publish very small amount of books. So the author took a case study of the Pusan National University Press(PNUP). She interviewed with faculty who had published or were going to publish. And then she analyzed why or why not the faculty at the Pusan National University selected PNUP as a publisher. On the basis Of the results, she identified problems of the PNUP and she made an activating program that can be a n.0, pplied to most of Korean university presses. This program involved setting up the mission of the press; a n.0, ppointing a professional to the staff and establishing a fund; encouraging high quality scholarly publishing, refined bookmaking and positive marketing; and increasing the expense of the library and improving community su n.0, pport of the university press.

Outsourcing has been around a long time in libraries. Card catalogs of LC, and approvalplans, subscription agents and binding of journal are all forms of outsourcing that librarieshave come to accept as normal procedures. Nevertheless. outsourcing is one of the mostcontroversial topics discussed in library management today. It carries meanings ranging fromtraditionally outsourced activities to more recent outsourcing of entire functions anddepartments. This study will provide background and context for the issue of outsourcing.suggest several useful guidelines for the entities of library outsourcing in Korea. One of thecommon rationales for outsourcing is that the activity being outsourced is a "noncore"functions to the mission of the libraries. The best approach to outsourcing is probably a'middle-ground' objective approache-ground' objective approach.

A more sophisticated library collection policy is required due to the changing information environment. Both traditional resources and diversified networked information resources are increasing continuously. The National Library of Korea should construct a systematic collection development policy in order to fulfill its mission. The purpose of this study is to develop a basic framework that is intended to improve the coverage of national collection. Examining previous studies and the national collection development policies of major advanced countries, a model consisting of four sub-models has been proposed. It includes hybrid collection, cooperative linking collection, collection evaluation, and a collection policy statement. Details of the sub-models and strategies are described.

The standards for instructional media and equipments imply an essential element for curriculum. In knowledge-based society, school libraries are an educational environment to assist curriculum, offer information literacy and reading services. The dynamic cast operation allows flexibility in the design and use of data management facilities in object-oriented programs. Dynamic cast has an important role in the implementation of the Data Management Services (DMS) of the Mission Data System Project (MDS), the Jet Propulsion Laboratory's experimental work for providing a state-based and goal-oriented unified architecture for testing and development of mission software. DMS is responsible for the storage and transport of control and scientific data in a remote autonomous spacecraft. Like similar operators in other languages, the C++ dynamic cast operator does not provide the timing guarantees needed for hard real-time embedded systems. In a recent study, Gibbs and Stroustrup (G&S) devised a dynamic cast implementation strategy that guarantees fast constant-time performance. This paper presents the definition and application of a cosimulation framework to formally verify and evaluate the G&S fast dynamic casting scheme and its applicability in the Mission Data System DMS application. We describe the systematic process of model-based simulation and analysis that has led to performance improvement of the G&S algorithm's heuristics by about a factor of 2. In this work we introduce and apply a library for extracting semantic information from C++ source code that helps us deliver a practical and verifiable implementation of the fast dynamic casting algorithm.
