2016년 1월 1일부터 공공도서관 빅데이터 플랫폼이 서비스되기 시작하여 도서관 빅데이터가 공공도서관 업무 개선에 활용되고 있다. 본 논문은 도서관 빅데이터 플랫폼 활용사례들을 살펴보고 도서관 빅데이터 플랫폼의 활용효과를 높일 수 있는 개선방안을 도출하고자 한다. 이를 위해 먼저, 도서관 빅데이터 플랫폼을 활용한 사례들에서 활용한 빅데이터와 활용유형분석 및 도출된 서비스/시행정책을 살펴본다. 다음으로, 현재 공공도서관에서 사용하는 통합도서관리시스템(ILUS)과 도서관 빅데이터 플랫폼 각각의 자료분석 방식을 비교함으로써 도서관 빅데이터 플랫폼의 한계점과 이점을 살펴본다. 사례분석 결과, 프로그램 기획 및 수행, 장서, 수서, 기타의 유형으로 빅데이터를 활용하였고 서비스/시행정책은 이용자 맞춤형 테마서가 및 독서진흥프로그램 진행, 장서활용도 증대, 특화주제에 기반한 수서 및 대출현황 데이터 공개로 요약되었다. 비교분석결과, ILUS는 자관의 자료실현황분석에 특화되어 있으며, 빅데이터 플랫폼은 다양한 속성(연령, 성별, 지역, 대출시기 등)에 따른 선택적 분석이 가능하여 분석시간단축과 유연한 분석이 가능하다. 마지막으로 사례분석과 비교분석에서 밝혀진 특징 및 한계점을 정리하고 개선방안을 제시한다.

This exploratory study aims to understand the potential of log data analysis and expand its utilization in user research methods. Transaction log data are records of electronic interactions that have occurred between users and web services, reflecting information-seeking behavior in the context of digital libraries where users interact with the service system during the search for information. Two ways were used to analyze South Korea's National Digital Science Library (NDSL) log data for three days, including 150,000 data: a log pattern analysis, and log context analysis using statistics. First, a pattern-based analysis examined the general paths of usage by logged and unlogged users. The correlation between paths was analyzed through a χ² analysis. The subsequent log context analysis assessed 30 identified users' data using basic statistics and visualized the individual user information-seeking behavior while accessing NDSL. The visualization shows included 30 diverse paths for 30 cases. Log analysis provided insight into general and individual user information-seeking behavior. The results of log analysis can enhance the understanding of user actions. Therefore, it can be utilized as the basic data to improve the design of services and systems in the digital library to meet users' needs.

본 연구는 공공데이터 포털을 통해 개방된 도서관 관련 데이터의 현황을 다각도로 살펴보며, 공개된 데이터의 수준과 공개 주체에 따라 데이터의 활용 정도에 어떠한 차이가 나타나는지 분석하였다. 또한 데이터의 공개주체를 지방자치단체와 국가 및 공공기관으로 구분하여 데이터에 부여된 키워드를 활용해 PathFinder Network 분석을 수행함으로써 양 주체가 공개한 데이터의 주제 군집과 중심성에 어떠한 차이를 보이는지 분석하였다. 그 결과 국가 및 공공기관이 공개한 데이터로부터는 연구자료 등을 중심으로 4개의 주제군집이, 지방자치단체가 공개한 데이터로부터는 소장자료, 평생교육프로그램 등을 중심으로 8개의 주제 군집이 형성되었으며, 국가 및 공공기관이 공개한 데이터가 학교 및 공공도서관의 단순 현황을 주로 공개하고 있는 지방자치단체 공개 데이터보다 높은 활용도를 나타냈다.

본 연구에서는 도서관발전종합계획에 대한 언론보도를 빅데이터 분석 기법을 활용하여 시기별 동향과 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국내 주요 포털 사이트를 통해 2009년부터 2017년까지 관련 데이터를 수집하였다. 수집된 데이터는 텍스트 마이닝 과정을 통해 정제된 단어를 도출하였고 이를 바탕으로 빈도분석 및 중심성 분석, 구조적 등위성 분석 등을 수행하였다. 분석 결과 제1 2차 도서관발전종합계획이 시행되는 동안 도서관 정책의 흐름이 외연적 성장에서 도서관 운영의 내실화 고도화의 흐름으로 변화하고 있었으며, 도서관 시설 확충과 같은 특정 정책에 국한되어 언론보도가 이루어짐을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 도서관발전종합계획으로 대변되는 도서관 정책을 어떤 관점에서 인식하고 이해하고 있는지 확인하는데 유용한 자료로 사용될 수 있으며, 향후 도서관발전종합계획의 비전을 모색하는데 활용되기를 바란다.

이 연구의 목적은 공공도서관 그룹화를 위해 적합한 군집분석 모델을 파악하고 그 특징을 분석하는데 있다. 국가도서관통계시스템의 공공도서관 통계 데이터를 사용하였으며, 군집분석 기법의 3가지 모델을 적용하였다. 공공도서관 규모를 기준으로 군집분석을 실시한 결과 크게 2가지 군집으로 구분되었으며, 군집의 크기는 크게 한쪽으로 치우쳤다. 그룹화 모델로 도서관 규모를 기준으로 삼으면, 계층적 군집분석의 와드측정법과 k-평균군집분석 모델이 적합하였다. 공공도서관 그룹화 연구 결과에 대한 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 통계 데이터 외에 도서관 서비스 관련 다양한 데이터 수집이 진행되어야 한다. 둘째, 분석 대상이 되는 데이터 세트에 적합한 분석 모델이 적용되어야 한다. 셋째, 도서관 서비스 향상을 위해 군집분석 기법의 다양한 분야 적용 가능성에 대한 적극적인 연구가 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this work was to study library website users' actions by tracking their behavior, determining popular content, and identifying browsing patterns and subsequent improvement of access to popular content. The study of behavior models and the use of web analytics has led to the emergence of solutions that improve the usability and functionality of the State Public Scientific-Technological Library of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPSTL SB RAS) website. These are: identifying user tasks as they are developed, conducting user testing to better understand the event. tracking data and collecting additional data to verify the effectiveness of the changes made. Examining data on the duration of the session and the number of visits will help determine the goals of user visits and develop new recommendations. Usability analysis and testing will make it possible to compare the data obtained using web analytics and the perception of the library site by the users themselves. Recommendations are offered to libraries on the use of data on the real behavior of the target audience of the library website to improve access to library resources and services, increase their relevance and improve information services.

본 연구는 빅데이터 시대의 도래와 함께 다양한 분야에서 연구의 초점이 되고 있는 빅데이터를 재조명한 것이다. 빅데이터의 개념, 제기되는 중요한 이슈, 도서관 정보서비스에의 활용이라는 세 가지 연구문제를 각종 문헌과 사례를 검토하여 밝히고자 하였다. 연구결과 빅데이터의 개념은 현실사회의 맥락에서 분석, 가치가 부가되어야 그 의미가 있음을 밝혀냈으며, 데이터의 정확성이나 신뢰성에 대한 문제, 개인정보보호, 보완, 윤리적 이슈, 지적재산권 등 다양한 이슈가 빅데이터 연구와 연관되어 제시됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한 이러한 이슈에 대한 문제제기를 이해한 가운데 빅데이터는 도서관 정보서비스에 활용될 수 있다고 판단했는데 도서관의 비전과 전략 수립에 도입하거나 지역사회를 지원하고 맞춤형 정보서비스를 제공하기 위한 근거를 제시하는 등 효과적으로 활용될 수 있다고 결론지었다.

본 연구는 학계와 현장의 도서관 빅데이터 관련 움직임을 살펴보고 이를 토대로 도서관 빅데이터 플랫폼인 도서관 정보나루의 장서/대출데이터를 대상으로 기초 분석을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 도서관과 빅데이터에 관한 선행연구와 활용사례를 참고하여 연도별 장서증가량, 주제별 장서구성비, 미대출 장서구성비, 주제별 장서회전율, 그리고 주제별 이용계수의 5가지 분석지표를 선정하였다. 분석에 사용된 도서관 데이터는 부산지역 33개 공공도서관의 장서/대출데이터 6,722,603건이다. 주요한 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 33개 공공도서관 간 장서수보다 대출수의 격차가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 연간 장서증가량도 뚜렷한 하락세를 보였다. 셋째, 소장 장서의 주제별 구성과 미대출 장서의 주제별 구성에 있어서 각 도서관들이 비슷한 양상을 나타냈다. 넷째, 이용자들의 대출은 주제별, 도서관별로 매우 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 대부분의 도서관에서 자연과학 분야 장서회전율과 이용계수가 가장 높게 나타났다.

본 연구는 체르노프 페이스 방법을 사용하여 우리나라 16개 광역자치단체의 공공도서관 운영 및 이용을 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 체르노프 페이스를 사용한 본 연구는 문헌정보학 분야에서는 처음으로 시도되었다. 설문조사 결과에 근거하여 얼굴의 어떤 부위로 어떤 데이터를 표현할 것인가를 결정하였다. 분석 결과 8개 조사 대상 분야에서 거의 모든 영역에 걸쳐 대체로 광역자치도가 광역시보다 도서관 운영 및 이용에서 우수하였다. 즉, 광역자치도는 광역시보다 더 많은 도서관을 운영하고 있고, 더 많은 장서를 가지고 있고, 더 많은 예산과 직원을 투입하고 있다. 그리고 이러한 운영 결과는 더 많은 이용자들의 도서관 자료실 이용과 자료 대출로 이어진 것으로 보인다.

This study would understand the overall perception of our society about public libraries, analyzing the texts related to public libraries, utilizing the semantic connection network & sentiment analysis. For this purpose, this study collected data from the last five years with keywords, 'Library' and 'Lifelong Learning Center' from January 1, 2016 through November 30, 2020 through the blogs and cafés of major domestic portal sites. With the collected data, text mining, centrality of keywords, network structure, structural equipotentiality, and sensitivity analyses were conducted. As a result of the analysis, First, 'reading' and 'book' were identified as representative keywords that form the social perception of public libraries. Second, it turned out that there were keywords related to the use of the library and the untact service due to the recent spread of COVID-19. Third, in seeking a plan for the development of public libraries through the keywords drawn to have positive meanings, it is necessary to create continuous services that can form a new image of the library, breaking away from the existing fixed role and image of the library and increase the convenience of use. Fourth, facilities and facilities for library services were recognized from a neutral point of view. Fifth, the spread of infectious diseases, social distancing, and temporary closure and closure of libraries are negatively related to public libraries, and awareness of librarians has been identified as negative keywords.
